Abstract

This study aims to describe the experiences of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 23 Medan in communicating using formal Indonesian language viewed from the aspect of self-confidence. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students’ low confidence in speaking formal Indonesian in the school environment, especially during presentations, answering teachers’ questions, and expressing opinions in front of the class. Many students experience nervousness, fear of making mistakes, lack of self-confidence, and difficulty arranging words when speaking formally. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews involving six eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Medan. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that self-confidence has a significant influence on students’ communication fluency. Students with low self-confidence tend to experience communication anxiety, speak hesitantly, lose focus, and choose to remain silent when speaking in front of the class. In addition, the peer environment also influences students’ courage in using formal Indonesian, where ridicule and negative responses make students feel embarrassed and afraid to speak. On the other hand, support from teachers, friends, and regular speaking practice opportunities can help students improve their confidence and communication skills. This research is expected to serve as a reference for Guidance and Counseling teachers in designing services focused on developing students’ self-confidence and communication skills at school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi perspektif Islam melalui fikih lingkungan dalam menghadapi krisis ekologi global saat ini. Lingkungan hidup bukan sekadar ruang fisik, melainkan amanah Allah yang harus dijaga keseimbangannya. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan studi pustaka, artikel ini menganalisis nilai-nilai normatif dalam Al-Qur’an dan Hadis yang menekankan peran manusia sebagai khalifah di bumi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa krisis lingkungan, seperti polusi dan deforestasi, berakar pada perilaku manusia yang mengabaikan prinsip syariah dalam mengelola alam. Islam menawarkan solusi melalui konsep himā (kawasan lindung), ihyā’ al-mawāt (menghidupkan lahan mati), serta larangan melakukan kerusakan (fasād). Implementasi fikih lingkungan secara praktis, seperti gerakan eco-masjid, menjadi krusial untuk mengubah kesadaran religius menjadi aksi nyata dalam pelestarian alam. Kesimpulannya, menjaga lingkungan adalah bagian integral dari ibadah dan manifestasi ketaatan kepada Allah, di mana kerusakan alam dipandang sebagai pelanggaran terhadap etika ketuhanan. Melalui pendekatan fikih lingkungan, diharapkan tercipta hubungan yang harmonis antara manusia, alam, dan Pencipta demi kesejahteraan generasi mendatang.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter dapat diartikan sebagai suatu upaya sistematis dan berkelanjutan yang dilakukan untuk menanamkan, mengembangkan, dan memperkuat nilai-nilai etika, moral, dan kepribadian pada peserta didik, agar peserta didik mampu memahami, merasakan, dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai kebaikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sejarah memiliki peran dasar untuk mengontrol dan mengarahkan pendidikan karakter. karena sejarah adalah cermin kolektif dari nilai-nilai, perjuangan, dan kegagalan sebuah peradaban. Melalui sejarah, generasi muda dapat menyaksikan konsekuensi dari tindakan karakter yang baik seperti kepahlawanan, kejujuran, dan kegigihan, serta dampak buruk dari karakter negatif, seperti pengkhianatan atau keegoisan. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah metode studi pustaka. studi pustaka adalah pengumpulan data dari sumber literatur seperti buku, jurnal, artikel, skripsi, dan dokumen tertulis lainnya yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Salah satu cara mengimplementasikan fungsi Candi Tinggi untuk pendidikan karakter yaitu dengan melalui Metode Studi Lapangan ke situs Candi Tinggi Jambi. Kegiatan kunjungan bukan hanya sebatas melihat melainkan harus mencakup penugasan observasi aktif yang menekankan nilai Tanggung Jawab terhadap Warisan Bangsa.

Abstract

Agrarian conflict in densely populated areas is a persistent structural problem in Indonesia, fueled by a weak land registration system and a misalignment between spatial use and land ownership rights. This study aims to analyze the urgency of integrating land registration and spatial planning as an instrument for preventing agrarian conflict in densely populated areas. Using normative legal research methods and a legislative and conceptual approach, this study examines the legal framework governing land registration and spatial planning in Indonesia and identifies regulatory gaps that are at the root of agrarian conflict. The results indicate that systematically integrating land spatial data with regional spatial plans (RTRW) can minimize overlapping land ownership, provide legal certainty for communities, and create fair and sustainable land governance. Regulatory reform, institutional capacity building, and database synchronization between the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (BPN) and local governments are needed as concrete steps to realize this integration.

Abstract

This study examines the utilization of Multiple Intelligence theory in Arabic language learning and its contribution to improving learning effectiveness. The background of this research is based on the diversity of students’ abilities and learning styles, which are often not accommodated through conventional learning approaches. This study aims to analyze how Multiple Intelligence is implemented in Arabic language learning, identify its forms of application in the teaching and learning process, and explain its contribution to students’ engagement and understanding. The research employed a literature review method by analyzing various scientific journals, books, and relevant academic references published between 2016–2026. The findings indicate that the application of Multiple Intelligence in Arabic learning can be carried out through various strategies such as educational games, discussions, storytelling, music, role play, visual media, and collaborative activities adapted to students’ dominant intelligences. This approach contributes positively to increasing students’ motivation, participation, self-confidence, and comprehension in learning Arabic. In addition, Multiple Intelligence-based learning creates a more humanistic, active, and meaningful classroom atmosphere because it appreciates students’ diverse potentials and abilities. The study implies that Arabic language teachers need to develop innovative and flexible learning strategies that accommodate students’ multiple intelligences in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of Arabic language learning in schools.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high academic demands faced by sixth-semester students, such as assignments, examinations, reports, proposal seminars, and preparation for field activities such as internships and Kuliah Kerja Nyata. The many responsibilities that must be carried out simultaneously cause some students to experience difficulties in managing their time effectively. The purpose of this study is to analyze the time management difficulties of sixth-semester students in dealing with academic demands and field activities. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving sixth-semester students selected purposively, then analyzed using the interactive model of Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that students experience difficulties in determining task priorities, procrastination habits, fatigue due to dense schedules, lack of discipline in following plans, and pressure caused by overlapping academic and field activity schedules. Supporting factors for successful time management include self-discipline, social support, and the use of daily schedules. Therefore, students need to improve their time management skills in order to balance academic responsibilities and field activities optimally.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country with a diversity of ethnic groups, religions, cultures, languages, and customs; therefore, education that instills tolerance from an early age is essential. Multicultural education in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is important to implement because early childhood is a stage of character formation and social-emotional development. This study aims to describe multicultural learning strategies in ECE, the principles of learning, the methods used, and their benefits for children’s development. The study employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach. Data were obtained from scientific journals, books, articles, and documents relevant to multicultural education for young children. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative technique through data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing of conclusions. The results of the study indicate that multicultural learning in early childhood education can be implemented through various methods such as storytelling, role-playing, regional songs, traditional games, and culture-based experiential learning. Such learning instills values of tolerance, empathy, justice, cooperation, and appreciation for diversity. Furthermore, multicultural education also provides benefits in the cognitive, affective, social, moral, and spiritual aspects of children.

The purpose of this research is to realize a SPK application with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method which is useful for selecting Java-based scholarship recipients at SMP Putra Negara Jakarta accompanied by database processing built with MySQL. Abstract

Abstract.This study aims to analyze service quality in the digital era and the factors influencing it in improving public satisfaction. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method by analyzing various relevant scientific journals and literature. Data collection was conducted through documentation, while data analysis employed descriptive qualitative analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that service quality has a strong relationship with public satisfaction. Digital transformation through the utilization of technologies such as management information systems, e-government, and artificial intelligence has significantly improved efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and accessibility of services. However, the implementation of digital-based services still faces several challenges, including limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among the public, insufficient human resource competence, and issues related to data security and regulatory frameworks. Furthermore, this study finds that improving service quality in the digital era is not solely determined by technology but is also influenced by strategic management and adaptive public policies. Therefore, integration among technology, human resources, and policy is essential to create high-quality public services that are oriented toward community needs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas pelayanan di era digital serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya dalam meningkatkan kepuasan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) melalui analisis terhadap berbagai jurnal dan literatur ilmiah yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan tingkat kepuasan masyarakat. Transformasi digital melalui pemanfaatan teknologi seperti sistem informasi manajemen, e-government, dan kecerdasan buatan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, efektivitas, transparansi, serta aksesibilitas pelayanan. Namun demikian, implementasi pelayanan digital masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, rendahnya literasi digital masyarakat, kurangnya kompetensi sumber daya manusia, serta aspek keamanan data dan regulasi yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa keberhasilan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan di era digital tidak hanya ditentukan oleh teknologi, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh manajemen strategik dan kebijakan publik yang adaptif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan integrasi antara teknologi, sumber daya manusia, dan kebijakan untuk menciptakan pelayanan publik yang berkualitas dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan masyarakat. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in improving students’ historical awareness at SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. The study is motivated by the importance of history learning in shaping national identity, national character, and students’ critical thinking skills amid the development of modern education. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques conducted through interviews with history teachers and several students at SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has a positive impact on improving students’ historical awareness. More flexible, interactive, and project-based learning encourages students to actively understand historical materials and relate historical events to present-day life. In addition, the use of discussion methods and exploration of historical sources was considered effective in increasing students’ learning interest. However, several obstacles were found, including limited learning time and students’ adaptation to the new learning system. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the Merdeka Curriculum is sufficiently effective in improving students’ historical awareness at SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi.
