Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), highlights the need to strengthen digital literacy among secondary school students so that they can use technology critically and responsibly. This study aims to analyze the effect of strengthening digital literacy through the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the digital literacy of students at SMAN 1 Batang Cenaku. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The research sample consisted of 32 eleventh-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a validated digital literacy questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed an improvement in students’ digital literacy after participating in the AI introduction program, with the average pretest score of 61.34 and the posttest score of 83.56. The paired sample t-test indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05), while the N-Gain value of 0.57 was categorized as moderate. These findings indicate that the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is effective in strengthening students’ digital literacy, particularly in terms of technological understanding, critical thinking, and awareness of digital ethics and security. Therefore, integrating AI-related content into learning activities is recommended to enhance digital literacy in secondary education.

Abstract

The importance of economic independence for students who are also pursuing formal education at the high school and vocational high school levels is the background to this community service activity. The main problem at the Al-Muqriyah Islamic Boarding School is the lack of practical understanding of business financial management and product marketing strategies, which are still conventional. This activity aims to equip students with financial management and digital marketing competencies to increase their independence. The method used was intensive training (a one-day workshop) that included material presentations, simple bookkeeping simulations, and practical promotional content creation. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of cash flow management and skills in optimizing social media as a marketing tool. In conclusion, strengthening this managerial aspect is a strategic step to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of students. The sustainability of this program is crucial for the Islamic boarding school business unit to develop professionally and provide a real economic impact on the Islamic boarding school environment.

Abstract

Economic empowerment within Vocational High Schools (SMK) and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) represents a strategic effort to enhance institutional self-reliance and competitiveness. This study aims to strengthen the economic independence of vocational and religious education institutions through a Community Service Program (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, PKM) entitled “Economic Empowerment of Vocational Schools and Islamic Boarding Schools through Human Resource Training, Financial Management, and Technology-Based Marketing.” The program was implemented at SMK Insan Kreatif, South Tangerang, using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach that emphasizes active involvement of all stakeholders. The training focused on three main areas: developing human resources through the enhancement of soft skills and digital literacy, improving financial management using digital applications, and strengthening marketing strategies through social media and online marketplaces. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ digital competencies, the ability to create transparent financial reports, and creativity in product promotion. Furthermore, the program fostered stronger synergy between vocational schools and pesantren in developing a technology-based economic ecosystem that is independent, efficient, and sustainable. The findings affirm that collaboration between education and technology plays a strategic role in fostering economic empowerment in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students’ understanding of financial management and marketing strategies based on pesantren entrepreneurship to support economic independence. Pesantren has great potential in developing independent businesses; however, students still face limitations in financial recording, capital management, and product promotion. The activity was conducted at Al Muqriyah Islamic Boarding School on Thursday, November 27, 2025 using counseling, discussion, and simple simulations. The materials covered basic financial management, marketing strategies, and entrepreneurial mindset development. The results indicate an improvement in students’ awareness of orderly financial management, effective marketing practices, and increased independence in managing business activities. This program is expected to contribute to the sustainable economic independence of students.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve the understanding and readiness of santri and vocational high school (SMK) students in human resource management and financial literacy as preparation for entering the workforce and social life. The program was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al-Muqriyah using an educational and participatory approach through lectures, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The training materials covered basic concepts of human resource management, self-management, discipline, responsibility, as well as simple financial literacy such as financial planning, income and expense recording, and financial control. The results of the program indicate an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of human resource management and financial literacy, as reflected in their active participation and enthusiasm during the activities. This program is expected to help santri and SMK students become more independent, disciplined, and economically responsible individuals in the future.

Abstract

This community service aims to empower the santri of Pondok Pesantren Al-Muqriyah through digital marketing literacy, considering the importance of digital skills in the globalization era to enhance economic independence and the relevance of traditional Islamic education. The topic was chosen because santri often lack skills in online marketing, which can open entrepreneurial opportunities. The service methods include interactive workshops, practical training, and pre-post evaluations through surveys. Results show a significant increase in the santri's digital competencies, such as social media management and e-commerce strategies, as well as improved self-confidence. This conclusion underscores the importance of integrating digital technology in pesantren to support sustainable development in rural communities

Abstract

The community service activity aims to enhance the capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Danger Village, Masbagik District, in utilizing digital marketing strategies to improve their competitiveness amid the evolving digital era. However, the low level of digital literacy and the limited ability of MSME actors to leverage online marketing platforms have constrained local products from reaching wider markets. Therefore, this program provides comprehensive digital marketing training, including an introduction to digital marketing, the use of social media, marketing content creation, and product branding implementation. This initiative is intended to equip MSME actors with practical skills to develop more effective marketing strategies. The implementation method involves interactive lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice to ensure optimal learning outcomes. The results of the activity indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of digital marketing concepts, their ability to create promotional content, and increased confidence in utilizing digital media for product promotion. Furthermore, the training also fosters the development of a digital-based MSME ecosystem in Danger Village as a foundation for strengthening the local economy. This activity is expected to serve as a starting point for supporting the sustainability of digital transformation among MSMEs and to encourage stronger collaboration between village authorities, business actors, and educational institutions in promoting community-based economic development at the village level.

Abstract

This community service program aims to internalize the value of trustworthiness in the preparation of school treasurer financial reports through a Qur'anic approach, specifically QS. Al-Baqarah verse 282, which emphasizes the importance of honest and orderly recording of transactions. The activity was carried out at the Rezky Syafaat Foundation, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, with school treasurers as the main target group, as they are responsible for managing the institution's finances. The methods used included initial observation, counseling, and  interactive discussions. The results of the activity showed an increase in school treasurers' understanding of the importance of transparent, accountable financial recording in accordance with Islamic values. The Al-Qur'an approach proved to be effective in building moral awareness and professionalism in school financial management. This program is expected to become a model for the application of trust-based accounting in private education.

Abstract

Character education plays a crucial role in shaping the personality of elementary school students. However, Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning in elementary schools is still predominantly conventional and focuses mainly on cognitive aspects, resulting in limited internalization of moral values in students’ daily behavior. This community service program aimed to enhance students’ character through the implementation of creative Islamic Religious Education learning at SD Negeri 09 2X11 Enam Lingkung. The methods employed included Islamic digital storytelling, educational games, group discussions, and role-playing activities conducted in four structured learning sessions. The participants consisted of 20 fifth-grade students. Evaluation was carried out through character observation covering honesty, discipline, responsibility, and cooperation, supported by discussions with teachers. The results indicated an improvement in students’ character, with most students categorized as good in all observed indicators. Creative IRE learning increased students’ engagement, fostered positive attitudes, and helped students practice Islamic values in their daily lives. This program demonstrates that creative Islamic Religious Education learning is an effective approach to strengthening character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve students’ understanding of the concept and practice of development communication through a digital education approach. The program was motivated by the limited ability of students to integrate development communication theory with the effective use of digital media. The activity was conducted at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Halu Oleo University, in September 2025, involving 35 Communication Science students. The implementation consisted of four main stages: preparation, digital education sessions, evaluation, and reflection. The materials were delivered through interactive lectures, group discussions, and hands-on activities in creating digital content on development communication themes. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding, with the average score increasing from 61.2 pre-test to 87.5 post-test. Students also demonstrated creativity in producing digital content such as educational videos, infographics, and social campaign posters on sustainable development issues. Moreover, this activity strengthened students’ digital literacy, communication ethics, and participation in local development issues. The digital education approach proved effective in developing communication competencies that are adaptive to technological advancements and societal needs.
