Abstract

Cases of bullying in Indonesia continue to rise each year, with the highest incidence occurring at the elementary school level, a pattern also observed among elementary-aged children in Kelurahan Belakang Gedung, Pasar Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency, who frequently display rude behavior and speech toward peers, raising concern that such behavior may escalate into bullying if left unaddressed. In response, the KKN Team of Bengkulu University Period 108 Group 112 carried out a community service activity, "Stop Bullying: Building a Polite and Anti-Bullying Generation," at SDN 1 South Bengkulu for 60 sixth-grade students, using interactive education, a 3 magic words demonstration, ice-breaking, a short-animation screening, and an educational quiz with rewards. Results showed students were enthusiastic and actively engaged, with improved understanding of the forms and impacts of bullying. This activity is important as an early preventive step in fostering polite habits and preventing rude behavior from escalating into bullying within the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the meaning of increased revenue for MSME operators using QRIS in the Tegalboto Campus area of Jember. It employs a qualitative approach using a phenomenological method, grounded in marketing management theory and the concept of digital payments. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving purposively selected MSME operators, and subsequently analyzed using NVivo 12 through processes of data reduction, coding, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that increased revenue is interpreted not merely as a rise in financial profit, but also as an increase in the customer base, greater transaction ease and speed, improved financial management efficiency, and heightened consumer trust in the business. Despite facing challenges such as internet connectivity issues, administrative fees, and transaction delays, the informants continue to use QRIS because the perceived benefits outweigh the obstacles. Thus, QRIS is viewed as a tool for digital transformation that supports operational efficiency, service quality improvements, and revenue growth for MSMEs in the Tegalboto Campus area of Jember.

Abstract

Waste management remains one of the major environmental challenges, including within school environments. Low awareness among elementary school students regarding environmental cleanliness may lead to poor waste disposal behavior. Therefore, environmental education from an early age is essential through educational outreach programs involving university students participating in Community Service Programs (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN). This article aims to describe the implementation of a waste management education program designed to foster environmental awareness among students of SD Negeri 100 Seluma. The program was conducted by KKN students from the University of Bengkulu, Group 97, Period 108, using interactive lectures, waste-sorting demonstrations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The results indicate that students actively participated throughout the activities. They demonstrated improved understanding of organic and inorganic waste, recognized the environmental impacts of improper waste disposal, and developed greater awareness of maintaining school cleanliness. The outreach program successfully encouraged environmentally responsible behavior and strengthened students' awareness of sustainable waste management practices.

Abstract

Existing provisions regarding sexual violence—previously scattered across various sectoral laws—have proven inadequate in preventing, protecting against, and eradicating such violence. This community service initiative in Negeri Haria was undertaken in response to the alarming prevalence of sexual violence in the area. We proposed the formation of a task force comprising the implementation team, partner representatives, and the Saparua District police. Additionally, we established a "partner village" (negeri binaan) relationship between the implementation team—operating under the Law Study Program—and the target community of Negeri Haria. The solutions we offered aim to prevent sexual violence against both adult women and children.

Abstract

Kelab Kopi Lama is one of the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector that adopts a traditional kopitiam concept while maintaining the classic taste of traditional foods and the atmosphere of an old coffee shop in Kempas, Johor Bahru. The increasingly competitive culinary industry requires business actors to develop product differentiation and marketing strategies that can attract and retain customers. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Kelab Kopi Lama as a culinary MSME through product variety, business concepts, and marketing strategies implemented to maintain customer interest. This study uses a descriptive approach through observations of products, services, and business marketing activities. The results show that Kelab Kopi Lama has competitive advantages through its diverse menu offerings, including traditional kopitiam sets such as toast, half-boiled eggs, and Kopi O, as well as signature dishes such as Nasi Dagang, Putu Mayam, Nasi Padang with various side dishes, Nasi Lemak Kukus Basmathi, Lontong, Curry Noodles, Laksa Johor, and various traditional snacks. In addition to product diversity, the traditional kopitiam concept provides added value by strengthening business identity and enhancing customer experiences. The combination of product innovation, quality food offerings, and cultural culinary values contributes to maintaining business sustainability. This study highlights that the implementation of marketing mix strategies and product diversification can be effective approaches for culinary MSMEs to improve competitiveness and build customer loyalty.

Abstract

Pencurian kendaraan bermotor roda dua (Curanmor) menjadi permasalahan yang signifikan di Bandar Lampung, tingkat penyelesaian kasus pada tahun 2022 lalu hanya sebesar 0,7% dari total kasus. Kerentanan terhadap curanmor masyarakat semakin meningkat ketika suatu wilayah berada dekat dengan lokasi kampus pendidikan tinggi. Pengabdian masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi risiko kasus curanmor roda dua di kelurahan Korpri Jaya, sebuah kelurahan yang berbatasan dengan kampus Institut Teknologi Sumatera (Itera) dan Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Raden Inten Lampung. Kegiatan PkM ini mencakup pengenalan dan pengembangan aplikasi pelacak GPS guna memperkuat langkah-langkah pengamanan dari pencurian kendaraan bermotor. Sosialisasi dan pemasangan sistem GPS Tracker ini dilakukan kepada perwakilan petugas kelurahan dan rukun tetangga (RT) di kelurahan Korpri Jaya. Sosialisasi ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerimaan masyarakat terhadap teknologi terkini terkait GPS dan turut berpartisipasi di dalam menjaga keamanan melalui aplikasi pelacak. Implementasi sistem ini berpotensi membantu masyarakat mengenali potensi modus kejahatan curanmor, mengintegrasikan GPS Tracker Geofence, serta mengembangkan aplikasi yang mudah digunakan oleh masyarakat. Respon dari perwakilan masyarakat positif terhadap penerapan teknologi ini. PkM ini memberikan alternatif bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbasis teknologi GPS Tracker Geofence untuk membantu mengurangi kasus curanmor dan meningkatkan keamanan lingkungan dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi modern ke dalam sistem keamanan lingkungan.

Abstract

Rapidly increasing access to technology among elementary school children presents distinct challenges, ranging from the risk of digital addiction and exposure to negative content to a decline in social interaction—factors that could potentially erode character values ​​and national resilience. This community service initiative aims to enhance elementary-aged children's understanding and awareness regarding the wise, safe, and responsible use of digital devices. The outreach activity was conducted in the RT 01/RW 02 neighborhood of Simpang Haru Urban Village, East Padang District, Padang City. An educational and participatory approach was employed, featuring interactive talks using accessible language, two-way discussions, educational games (ice-breakers), and the reinforcement of digital ethics grounded in local Minangkabau wisdom. Participant understanding was evaluated through oral quizzes and interactive Q&A sessions at the conclusion of the event. The activity met with great enthusiasm from the participants. Most children were able to understand and articulate the benefits of devices for learning, the negative impacts of excessive use, the importance of healthy usage limits, and appropriate actions to take when encountering negative online content. This initiative successfully fostered early digital literacy, serving as a foundation for character building among the younger generation to support national resilience in the digital era.

Abstract

The implementation of appropriate technology is one of the community empowerment strategies to improve public knowledge and skills in addressing environmental issues. This community service program aimed to implement a Rocket Stove as an appropriate technology through socialization, practical demonstrations, and the handover of the stove to the village government in Talang Marap Village. The program employed the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, which included community needs identification, Rocket Stove construction, socialization, demonstrations, and activity evaluation. The results showed that one unit of the Rocket Stove was successfully constructed and functioned effectively as an educational tool for introducing appropriate technology. The participants actively engaged in the activities and gained a better understanding of the functions, operation, and benefits of the Rocket Stove. Furthermore, the handover of the stove to the village government is expected to support the sustainable utilization of appropriate technology within the community. Overall, this program enhanced community knowledge and strengthened collaboration among the university, the village government, and the local community in promoting appropriate technology.

Abstract

The gate-construction program carried out by Community Service Program (KKN) Group 146 students in Talang Marap Village, Kelam Tengah District, Kaur Regency addressed two problems at once: the absence of a village boundary marker and the large amount of unused plastic bottle-cap waste. The program was carried out through pre-planning, gate design, preparation of tools and materials, gate construction, and installation. Cleaned plastic bottle caps were arranged and glued to form the village name on a wooden gate board, in line with the reduce, reuse, recycle (3R) principle. Material collection involved local children through a bottle-cap collection competition, helping to build early environmental awareness. Construction took one week (13-19 July 2026), and the gate was installed on 20 July 2026 at the border between Talang Tais and Talang Marap villages. The program produced a village gate that functions as an identity and boundary marker while also serving as a medium for plastic-waste education and a concrete example of upcycling in community empowerment.

Abstract

The utilization of home gardens as a source of household food has become increasingly important amid limited agricultural land and rising food prices. This community service program aimed to enhance the utilization of home gardens through the Nutrition Garden (Kebun Gizi) program while improving the understanding of PKK women regarding balanced nutrition through the "My Plate" (Isi Piringku) socialization program in Karangasem Village. The methods employed included observation, educational counseling, conventional vegetable cultivation training, planting practices, and mentoring. The results demonstrated an improvement in participants' knowledge of balanced nutrition and home garden utilization, increased participation in managing the Nutrition Garden, and the use of harvested produce to meet household food needs. The program also contributed to reducing household expenditures, strengthening the role of PKK, and supporting household food self-sufficiency as well as stunting prevention efforts. Therefore, the Nutrition Garden has the potential to become a sustainable program for improving household food security and family nutrition at the village level.
