Abstract

Abstract Om Cuppu Barbershop is a barbershop that provides barber services, offers various services, and sells various other products, namely pomade and hair tonic. The various virtue of Om Cuppu Barbershop is not enough to instil consumer loyalty to come, even though they are already well known in Gondangrejo. However, most people think that Om Cuppu barbershop is the same as other barbershops because most of the visitors come from the community base and the promotion method is still through word of mouth. The unique concept and virtue of Om Cuppu Barbershop can't be represented very well if the distribution is only spread by word of mouth without visualization that can attract people's attention to come. Based on the existing problems, the proper solution to promote Om Cuppu Barbershop is through Visual Branding Design as an effective and attractive promotional tool. This promotional media for Om Cuppu Barbershop aims to be able to attract more consumers to use the services of Om Cuppu Barbershop. The design of the visual branding of Om Cuppu Barbershop was carried out because there was no clear brand image, identity, and segmentation position in the minds of the public, so people became less interested in coming to use the cutting services of Om Cuppu Barbershop. Om Cuppu Barbershop's visual branding design uses SWOT analysis to get a visual brand that matches the character of Om Cuppu Barbershop. The visual branding design is done by creating a brand identity (colour, letter shape, graphic elements), changing the logo, and applying it to the media plan. It is hoped that this visual branding can create a comfortable and elegant image of Om Cuppu Barbershop in the minds of the people in Gondangrejo. The design method starts with thinking about ideas for design, surveying Om Cuppu Barbershop to take the required photos, conducting a brief by collecting data from observations, conducting brainstorming, which is an effort to develop ideas with consultation by the supervisor, and doing creative brief to produce a design that fits the background. Abstract

ABSTRACT Tourism is a way to relieve fatigue from daily activities and functions as an educational activity in some issues. However, all tourist attractions in Indonesia are not well known by local and foreign tourists. Bali dominates the destination of foreign tourists because it offers cultural tourism and natural beauty different from other regions in Indonesia, such as tourism from Ngawi Regency in East Java. They are not well known to the public, so it views less of visitors. The study aims to design a t-shirt concept as a tourism promotion medium in Ngawi Regency and to design a t-shirt as a tourism promotion medium in Ngawi Regency. The result of designing this Ngawi tourism t- shirt illustration is in the form of the main media, namely Ngawi tourism t-shirts and supporting media, namely Instagram feeds, posters, roll banners, hoodies, catalogues, hats, tote bags, stickers, waist bags, and instruction cards. Supporting media was created to expand the dissemination of information regarding the existence of T-shirts and the design of Ngawi tourism illustrations. Various supporting media can increase public awareness and interest in the design. It makes Ngawi very suitable to be used as a tourism place and can also provide opportunities for its people to sell unique souvenirs to attract tourists' attention. Abstract

Novel Totto Chan: Gadis Cilik di Jendela adalah buku yang diangkat dari kisah nyata pengarangnya, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. Totto-Chan digambarkan sebagai anak yang kurang dalam akademik, namun mendapat pelajaran sosial yang baik karena selaras dengan pendidikan Jepang yang menerapkan nilai-nilai holistic. Nilai keindahan desain karakter Totto di kaji dengan ilmu estetika dengan teori The Liang Gie. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang menyediakan pembuktian hipotesis berupa data deskriptif dan diharapkan mampu menjelaskan dengan uraian secara komprehensif dan utuh. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa buku Totto-chan memenuhi nilai estetika menurut The Liang Gie, yaitu Nilai Instrumental, Nilai Inheren, Nilai Kontributif, dan Nilai Intrinsik. Namun, karena buku tersebut merupakan novel autobiografi, Tetsuko mengadopsi ilustrasi Chihiro Iwasaki dengan minim pewarnaan, sehingga buku tersebut tidak dipenuhi banyak warna seperti buku anak pada umumnya. Sedangkan tata letak yang digunakan pada cover buku tersebut adalah Picture Window Layout, yaitu jenis desain layout yang digunakan untuk menampilkan gambar atau foto ukuran yang besar dan dominan pada halaman utama. Abstract

Kota Solo, juga dikenal sebagai Surakarta adalah sebuah kota di Jawa Tengah yang memiliki sejarah panjang sebagai pusat seni, musik, dan hiburan. Meskipun demikian, beberapa tempat hiburan di Kota Solo seperti ruang karaoke, telah menghadapi stigma negatif dari sebagian masyarakat. Stigma negatif ini muncul karena beberapa alasan, salah satunya adalah persepsi yang umumnya dipegang oleh sebagian masyarakat terkait dengan kegiatan di ruang karaoke. Beberapa masyarakat menganggap ruang karaoke sebagai tempat yang tidak bermoral, di mana perilaku negatif seperti minum-minuman keras berlebihan, konsumsi obat-obatan terlarang, dan perilaku asusila dapat terjadi. Sebagai upaya mematahkan stigma negatif dari masyarakat tentang ruang karaoke, maka diperlukan seorang desainer interior untuk membuat desain ruang karaoke yg elegan dan family homey. Perancangan ruang karaoke ini menggunakan metode pendekatan desain konseptual, dimana desainer akan menerapkan konsep dengan gaya modern futuristik sebagai acuan perancangan. Desain yang dihasilkan menggunakan warna-warna netral seperti abu, putih, dan hitam. Aksen lampu juga ditambahkan demi menonjolkan gaya modern futuristik itu sendiri. Desain yang simpel namun elegan diharapkan mampu membuka pandangan baru bagi masyarakat dan mematahkan stigma negatif dari ruang karaoke.

Abstract

Booth is a mini stage inside which is used as an arena for product or service exhibitions. Booths are usually used by companies to display the products that the company sells. Booths in the current era are not only used by companies in exhibitions but also used in selling products directly to consumers. Seeing how important the booth's role is besides being a place to sell as well as promotion development, Tahu Jeprit needs it. The purpose of this design is to create an attractive booth concept in accordance with the vision and image of Tahu Jemprit to increase the interest of potential consumers of Tahu Jemprit Surakarta. The design method used in this design is qualitative by collecting data at the location and interviewing the Tahu Jemprit outlet owner. The result of this design is a booth that is used as a place to sell and also as a promotional media development, in addition to media plans in the form of t-shirts, aprons, posters, menu lists, aprons, food packaging, and x banners. Abstract

Abstract Plastic cans are often produced by toast traders or people who like food that uses bread filled with jam. These plastic cans are usually thrown away or collected and sold to waste collectors. Plastic waste will, of course, take longer to decompose and harm the ecosystem and survival. One way to reduce the impact of plastic can waste is to reuse cans into furnitures with new functions for home furnishings, such as chairs. Plastic cans are short and cannot be formed into chairs of standard sizes. A collection of plastic cans of the same size can be created into a small chair called a "dingklik". Dingklik in Javanese is a small, short chair usually used by mothers who cook in the kitchen. Chairs made from plastic cans can also be used anywhere because the chairs made from the primary material of plastic cans are lightweight with a neater and more aesthetic appearance using supporting materials such as vinyl cloth foam for the seat and hemp rope for covering the can. The results of utilizing plastic cans in valuable chairs are described using a qualitative descriptive design method approach. By utilizing plastic can waste in table products, plastic cans can become a new product that is valuable and can also help reduce the impact of plastic product waste so that environmental sustainability can be well maintained.

Abstract

translator Orang tua merupakan induk dan pusat pembelajaran bagi seorang anak. Sudah menjadi tanggung jawabnya untuk dapat membagi waktu antara pekerjaan dan menjaga prestasi anaknya di sekolah. Hal inilah yang membuat pendampingan seorang anak membutuhkan wawasan dan pengetahuan yang cukup, mulai dari menciptakan suasana rumah yang nyaman untuk belajar, memberikan perhatian yang cukup bagi anak, sampai membantu anaknya yang kesulitan dalam tugas dan pelajaran yang dianggap rumit. Maka dari itu, penulis merasa perlu untuk merancang sebuah buku ilustrasi tips mendampingi anak belajar di rumah yang diperuntukkan bagi orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan edukasi dengan didukung oleh studi literatur terkait. Strategi kreatif dalam buku ilustrasi ini memperhatikan dan mengidentifikasi beberapa hal, yaitu target audiens, isi dan tema buku, serta gaya visual yang menjadi rujukan atas penyusunan buku ilustrasi ini. Media utama yang digunakan adalah buku ilustrasi. Media pendukung yang digunakan adalah e-book, instagram ads, poster, sticker, x-banner dan tote bag. Melalui penelitian ini terlihat bahwa banyak aspek yang harus diperhatikan orang tua dalam pendampingan anaknya belajar di rumah. Sehingga, media buku ilustrasi ini diharapkan mampu membantu orang tua dalam mendampingi anak belajar di rumah. Abstract

Rumah merupakan tujuan pulang setiap orang setelah beraktivitas di luar seharian tentu rumah menjadi tujuan yang paling dirindukan karena merupakan tempat yang paling nyaman. Ruang tamu adalah area dalam rumah yang dirancang sesuai namanya, yakni sebagai tempat menerima tamu, tetapi tidak hanya berfungsi untuk menerima tamu area ini bisa juga untuk tempat bersantai. Dalam perancangan ruang tamu tidak bisa dilakukan dengan asal-asalan karna area ini yang pertama kali akan dilihat oleh tamu dan juga pemilik rumah, harus mempertimbangkan pemakaian furniture, pemilihan warna, kenyamanan pengguna, penghawaan, pencahayaan, dan estetikanya.untuk mencapai hal tersebut, diperlukan seorang desainer interior. Desain interior adalah proses menciptakan tata letak, penataan, dan pengaturan elemen-elemen dalam sebuah ruangan untuk mencapai tujuan estetika, fungsional, dan nyaman. Hal ini melibatkan pemilihan furniture, warna, pencahayaan, tekstur, dan aksesori yang sesuai dengan gaya dan kebutuhan penghuni ruangan. Abstract

Beragamnya unsur kebudayaan di Cirebon merupakan salah satu ciri khas budaya Cirebon, sehingga pembangunan Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon juga mendapat pengaruh dari berbagai ragam budaya yang masuk ke dalamnya. Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon mempunyai beberapa area pada kompleks bangunannya seperti pada umumnya Keraton yang ada di Jawa. Setiap areanya dipisahkan dengan sebuah gapura. Ada delapan gapura yang dimiliki oleh Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon, masing-masing gapura memiliki bentuk fisik serta fungsi yang berbeda. Perbedaan bentuk fisik dapat terlihat jelas dalam struktur bangunannya, seperti ragam hias, warna, dan unsur estetis lainnya. Bentuk dan rupa dari gapura Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon merupakan hal yang patut untuk diketahui melalui metode penelitian kualitatif. Gapura di Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon memiliki tiga bentuk dasar, yaitu gapura candi bentar, gapura paduraksa, dan gapura semar tinandu. Ketiga bentuk tersebut tersebar dalam beberapa area yang ada di dalam baluarti Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon.

Abstract

Batik is one of the typical Indonesian fabric motifs that is famous internationally. Surakarta is known as the Batik City because it is one of the largest batik producing cities in Indonesia. Werkudoro batik shop is one of the batik shops in Surakarta. The Werkudoro batik shop brand is not famous among Surakarta residents. This is due to the weak visual branding of the Werkudoro batik shop and the lack of promotions carried out. This work aims to produce a redesign of the visual identity, namely the logo which is applied to various applications such as stationery, merchandise, packaging, and promotional displays. Using the redesign of the visual identity and promotional media for the Werkudoro batik shop, it is expected that it will attract people's attention and be remembered so that it can build people's interest and motivation for purchasing.
