Abstract

Songket Palembang salah satu karya budaya dari Sumatra Selatan yang telah ditetapkan sebagai Warisan Budaya Takbenda Indonesia pada tahun 2013 oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Karya budaya ini masuk ke dalam domain Keterampilan dan Kemahiran Kerajinan Tradisional dengan nomor pencatatan 201300009. Songket Palembang tidak hanya sekadar kain pelindung tubuh yang estetis namun memiliki makna adiluhung yaitu kemakmuran, kejayaan, dan keberanian. Karena faktor sejarah kekuasaan Kemaharajaan Sriwijaya, perdagangan, dan perkawinan campuran, Songket pun juga menjadi populer di Kawasan Maritim Asia Tenggara khususnya di negara-negara sekitar Indonesia seperti Brunei, Malaysia, dan Singapura. Beberapa orang semakin kreatif dalam menciptakan sesuatu agar bisa mengenalkan ciri khas atau bakat dari mereka. Songket Palembang dikenal dengan berbagai jenis dan fungsi yang ditampilkan dalam ragam motif dan ragam penggunaan benang. Motif yang tergambar dalam kain songket memiliki makna kehidupan dari masyarakat Palembang.

Abstract

Abstract: Vegetables are leaves (like mustard), plants (bean sprouts), pods or seeds (capri, chickpeas) etc. that can be cooked (KBBI, 2012). The main study of this research focuses on identification, analysis and design on board game prototype works and other supporting media. This design uses design thinking planning methods including premedia, main media and follow up media. Data was collected through, observations, questionnaires, interviews, literature and websites. The data is then identified, classified, selected, then analyzed using the method (5W+1H),and interpreted according to the text and context. The design of the board game Social Campaign as a medium for introducing various vegetables to children aged 6-12 years is used as a visual communication medium which is in this design discussion. This design aims to introduce purple vegetables and the benefits of purple vegetables to the target audience, namely children aged 6-12 years. In this design, the media produced are board game s, posters, t-shirts, books, pens, pouches, tumblers, bags, and hats.

Abstract

Abstract: Palembang City is one of the cities that has a lot of cultural history and traditional snacks. As the capital city of South Sumatra, Palembang has traditional food  with savory, spicy, fresh to sweet flavors that are not to be missed. In terms of geographical conditions, Palembang City is divided by the Musi River into two large parts called Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir. Kue suri is one of the traditional snacks that has been around since the 80s. The main study in this study is focused on identification, analysis and design on the design work of pacakaging suri cakes, and other supporting media. This Promotion design uses the main media, pre-media, and other design methods. The data is then identified and analyzed using the Design Thinking method  which is interpreted according to the text and context. Design Visual communication of suri cakes as a typical snack of Palembang City which is part of this design discussion. This design aims to invite teenagers and the people of Palembang City to preserve the local wisdom of this Palembang City suri cake.

Abstract

Abstract : Bangka Belitung has one of the unique beach tourism such as Tanjung Kalian Beach. Tanjung Kalian Beach is a natural tourism and historical tour in Bangka Belitung Province, precisely on the island of Bangka. The uniqueness of Tanjung Kalian Beach has a lighthouse icon. A lighthouse is a tower building with a light source at the top to aid ship navigation. The lighthouse is also a silent witness to the occurrence of World War II at Tanjung Kalian Beach. To preserve the history of the lighthouse and World War II and provide information on the beauty of Tanjung Kalian Beach. So, it is necessary for designers to promote Tanjung Kalian Beach as a tourist icon of Bangka Belitung. This design method uses Design Thinking. Design thinking is a tool used in a problem solving, in the process using 5W+2H analysis. The main design media uses documentary videos that are packaged using virtual reality. The design of the Tanjung Kalian Beach promotion was carried out with the aim that the public would become familiar with Tanjung Kalian Beach and become a reference for people's holiday spots to Tanjung Kalian Beach so that it would be known to the public as a tourism icon of Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

Abstract: Corn is a well-known staple food in Indonesia, and its high consumption results in a lot of natural waste, such as corn husks and corn cobs. According to the Infopublic.id website, South Sumatra is listed as the fifth largest corn producer in Indonesia, with a corn farming area of 112,000 hectares and a total corn production of 707,546 tons. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be concluded that the people of Palembang do not know that corn plant waste can be reused other than being used as animal feed. In the process of overcoming these problems, the author uses the design thinking method through the 5W+1H method (what, why, who, where, why, how) for data collection and data analysis so as to produce a model that can be applied to actual scenario ideas. The main media used is a tutorial book on the utilization of corn husk waste, which includes information on the utilization of corn husk waste and tutorials on processing corn husk waste, news media such as posters, peeling of husks, and supporting media such as t-shirts, glasses, stickers, mini notebooks, hanging clothing, handicraft supply containers, decorative flowers, decorative lights, and mascots, which.

Abstract

Abstract : Deafness is a general term that indicates difficulty hearing from mild to severe, classified into deafness and hearing loss. This is because Bisindo comes from the mother tongue, which is the Indonesian language that is used daily, and one movement can represent a word that is also widely known among non-deaf people. This design using Design Thinking method there are several stages such as (Empathize) understand the problem, (Define) identify the problem, (Ideate) find ideas, (Prototype) realize the idea, and (Test) the application of the results. The data collection process is done by, interviews, observations, questionnaires, literature and websites. The data obtained were then processed and analyzed using the method (5W+1H). From the results of this problem resulted in a Visual Communication Design Bisindo Alphabet for the Deaf in Palembang. The purpose of this design is to understand communicating through the Bisindo Alphabet by using conceptual and interesting visual communication elements. and how to communicate with the deaf informative through learning the Alphabet Bisindo. In this design, the media produced such as media Board Education, posters, catalog of works & catalog Alphabet Bisindo, T-shirts, notebooks, hearing aids, X-banners, stickers, Pointing Devices, Tote bags, Instagram feeds, brochures.

Abstract

Abstract: Before the technology was invented, long-distance communication used to rely on written letters, but now with advanced technology, it can be easily done through a stable internet connection on a smartphone. However, the convenience of online dating applications can be misused by irresponsible people, so policies and security measures must be implemented to protect users' privacy and comfort. Cases that occur in the form of fraud, extortion, sexual harassment cause mental health problems. Based on these problems, the author designed a social campaign that aims to educate people in Palembang City to be wiser in using social media. The author conducted a case study by applying the design thinking design method as data analysis to overcome these problems and using the 5W + 1H method (what, why, who, where, why, how). The design media to be used are digital education books, starter dating boxes for women and men, other information media such as posters and Instagram, and supporting media such as notebooks, Tumblr bottles, classic mirror, making, stickers, classic clocks, aromatherapy candles, and calendars.

Abstract: This 100-Pole Limas House has its own charm and uniqueness because it has 100 pillars and foundations. According to (Hartini, 2016) The forms of the carving motifs on the Hundred Pillar House are generally geometric in shape, such as triangle shapes, rectangles, circle shapes, parallelogram shapes, with carvings such as slampit garang, wave shapes, fan leaves, jasmine stalks and sowing seruje. Flora such as allied rose motifs, sow flowers, tulips, mangosteen leaves, melon and lotus flowers. Fauna is like an elephant's trunk motif. Other natural motifs with shapes such as tongues, flames (China), flames (Kayuagung), morning stars, and sunrises. Even the 100 Pillar Limas House has historical value and keeps a unique story behind its construction. Even though it has been standing for hundreds of years, the house is still there and is well maintained by local residents. Abstract

Ahead of the 2019 Indonesian presidential election, presidential candidate pairs are aggressively displaying their campaign advertisements through various media. This study uses John Fiske's Codes of Television semiotic method which is divided into three levels, namely representation, reality and ideology. As well as the Nowak & Warneryd campaign model to analyze the meaning and message content of the 2019 Presidential General Election campaign advertisement for candidate pair number 01 Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin. The results of this study indicate that this advertisement depicts Jokowi as a humble, caring leader candidate for others which can be seen from the various activities carried out with the community and also depicts a firm leader. This advertisement is a form of campaign carried out in introducing the figure of President Jokowi in the community, as well as an effort to form a positive perception to a wide audience with the aim of gaining the votes of the Indonesian people to vote for Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 presidential general election contest.

Abstract

Senyap Film is a documentary film. This film received a lot of rejection from various mass organizations and officials who considered this film to have communist elements, but on the other hand, namely the National Human Rights Commission and minority communities, they saw that the silent film opened up new historical facts that had previously been closed and also attempted to build awareness of reconciliation. Film is a text that is full of meaning and has multiple interpretations which is composed of iconic signs, indices and symbols that are full of meaning. This is in accordance with Peirce's idea of ​​dividing signs into three categories, namely icons, indices and symbols in creating meaning. Therefore, the author formulates the problem, namely how the construction of meaning in silent films is related to semiotics. Based on the results of interpretation using Peirce's semantic approach. icons, indices and symbols in silent films tell about the violence carried out by the perpetrators of the murder of PKI members and the heroic attitude of the perpetrators towards the murders carried out.
