Abstract

The aim of this study is to improve learning outcomes using the Inquiry learning model and Analogy Concept on Uniform Linear Motion and Uniform Circular Motion in students of SMA Negeri 4 Leihitu, Central Maluku Regency. The type of research is descriptive quantitative with one group pre-test post-test design. Analysis average normalized gain based on the initial and final test scores. The initial test results showed that all students (100%) were in the failed qualification. The lowest student achievement score is 2.63, and the highest is 18.42, with an average of 10.23. This condition indicates that students do not yet have the initial ability on Uniform Linear Motion and Uniform Circular Motion substance. After applying the Inquiry learning model and Analogy Concept in the teaching and learning process, the average score of the students' final test results was 89.18, which was in suitable qualification with the lowest score of 71.05 and the highest 97.37. Based on the average normalized gain analysis, the average normalized gain obtained 0.88, which is in the high category. This study indicates that the Inquiry learning model makes students more active in exploring knowledge to get information to solve problems given by educators so that students' memory of the substance is longer. In addition, teachers succeeded in instilling Uniform Linear Motion as the base domain, making it easier for students to understand Uniform Circular Motion as the target domain. Proves that using the Inquiry learning model with the Analogy Concept can change the activity and increase students' knowledge towards a better direction.

Abstract

One of the profiles of graduates of the Unpatti FKIP Physics Education Study Program is to become a professional physics teacher. In line with that, one of the skills that must be possessed by a professional physics teacher is the ability to plan, design, and implement lesson plans, as well as evaluate learning processes and outcomes by applying logical, critical, systematic, and innovative thinking. Logical, critical, systematic, and innovative thinking in Bloom's taxonomy are the ability of higher order thinking skills (HOTS). The purpose of this study is to improve students' pedagogic competence in developing indicators, learning objectives, and HOTS-based test instruments. This type of research is Pre-Experimental Design in the One Group Pretest-post test design category, applied to 50 students of the Physics Education Study Program FKIP Unpatti in the fifth semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Research data obtained through tests, performance, and non-test, processed descriptively using the normalized score gain formula. The average result of the increase is in the high category g = 0,76 ≥ 0,7. These results illustrate that there has been an increase in students' abilities in developing indicators, learning objectives, and developing HOTS-based test instruments. Development of indicators, learning objectives, test instruments and mastery of HOTS knowledge as part of the preparation of lesson plans and assessment of learning outcomes, taught as knowledge and strengthened in practice. In the exercise students are given the opportunity to identify forms of behaviour that can be observed, and measured at each level of cognition according to Bloom's taxonomy revised as a feature of HOTS, which are analysing, evaluating, and creating. In conclusion, increasing student pedagogic competence can be obtained through consistent mastery of knowledge and practice.

Abstract

TiO2/CuO nanocomposite has been successfully synthesized using Wedelia trilobata (L.) leaf extract with TiCl3 and Cu(NO3)2 3H2O as precursors. The material formed was then characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to determine the shape and size and then energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) characterization to determine the atomic composition contained in this nanocomposite material. The results of SEM and EDX show that the material is spherical in shape and has an average size of 42 nm. The composition of TiO2 is 73.38% and CuO is 4.32%. Furthermore, the sample is characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) in which the diffraction peaks are at angles of 2 theta, 25.646° and 47.511° indicating TiO2 nanoparticle. Meanwhile, peaks are at 38.367° and 74.379° indicate CuO nanoparticle. Determination of the energy band gap of the material using the results of ultraviolet visible (UV-Vis) is 3.5 eV. Measurement of magnetic properties using VSM equipment. Based on the hysteresis curve, the TiO2/CuO nanocomposite material has diamagnetic properties and is a soft magnet material.

Abstract

This study aim is to determine the increasingly of cognitive abilities dynamic electrical material through Proteus software media in cooperative learning models for students of SMP Negeri 17 Ambon. The type of research is a quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design. The population of this study were students of class X with a sample of 23 people who were taken randomly. The research data were collected using a dynamic electrical material test instrument that had been validated by two experts. The results of the analysis show that the initial cognitive abilities of students as a whole are in the failed qualification (100%) with an average value of 17.24. Meanwhile, the lowest value was 8.10 and the highest was 28.37. This finding shows that students do not yet have knowledge of dynamic electrical material. The failure of the students was then corrected by using Proteus software media in the cooperative learning model. The results of the analysis show that 26% are in very good qualifications, 22% are in good qualifications, while for sufficient and failed qualifications, respectively 26% with the lowest score of 57, the highest 95 and the average cognitive ability of 80.48. Based on the results of normalized gain analysis obtained an increase in cognitive abilities of 70% in the high category and 30% in the medium category. This finding shows that the integration of Proteus software media is very helpful for students in constructing their knowledge. Through Proteus software media, abstract learning material becomes concrete and makes it easier for students to understand it. This proves that the integration of proteus software learning media in cooperative learning settings can help to improve cognitive abilities well.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of summative physics test questions for the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year in class X MIA2 students at SMA Kristen 1 Amahai, Central Maluku Regency, as a learning evaluation tool. The analysis results show that in preparing the questions, educators have been 100% guided by the assessment planning standards set by the BSNP. In addition, the rules for writing multiple-choice questions have been fulfilled 97%. On the other hand, the fulfillment of the criteria for good items from the validity criteria has reached 75% in the very valid and valid categories. Furthermore, the test reliability correlation coefficient is 0.64 in the high category, the difficulty level of the questions with a ratio of 4.5:4:1.5, the discriminatory power in the moderate and good categories was 95%, and the distractor function was 85% in the very good and good categories. Based on the results of the analysis showed that the questions were appropriate to be used as a learning evaluation tool.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' analytical skills in solving physics problems using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model. The type of research is descriptive research. The research data shows that in the initial test the average value of the in itial ability of students is 15,84 seen from the analytical ability of C2 of 38,88%, C3 of 18,75%, C4 of 21,52%, thus the average initial ability of students is classified as a failed qualification. The average value of students' analytical skills during the learning process is 81,01% with the complete category. The final a bility data average value is 81,14, seen from the analytical ability of C2 of 83,33%, C3 of 75%, C4 of 72,54%. Thus, it can be concluded that the CTL learning model can be used to analyze the ability of students to solve problems.
