Abstract

The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Salahutu. The purpose of this study is to develop a science learning tool using the Problem Based Learning learning model, through lesson study. The research design uses the 4 D Research and Development research method (Define Phase, design, develop, Disseminate). The application of products in the form of PBL-based integrated science-oriented learning modules through LS results in the following findings: 1). The Global warming theme module is based on curriculum analysis, student and teacher needs and field observations; 2). The Global warming theme module is able to get students actively involved in the learning process. 3). PBL-based Global warming theme modules through Lesson Study train students' creativity; 4). The teacher's knowledge about the systematic writing of the modules is still lacking so that the writer at the time of dissemination gave a presentation on the systematic module. The results of this study found that 1). Development of Integrated Science Learning Using Models of Problem Based Learning through Lesson Study can improve the student learning outcomes; 2). Development of Integrated Science Learning based on Problem Base Learning through Lesson study using the Global warming theme module is based on curriculum analysis, student and teacher needs and field observations. This module is able to make students actively involved directly in the learning process and train students' creativity

Abstract

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, prioritizing four basic skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, is needed to prepare students to live in the future. This community service activity aims to optimize these skills through the application of ocean-island-based physics multirepresentation learning, which is relevant to the living environment of students in Central Maluku. The multirepresentation approach helps students understand abstract physics concepts through various forms of representation, such as visual, mathematical, and verbal, which encourages deeper understanding. The context of the sea-island environment, such as currents, waves, and hydrostatic pressure, is used as physics teaching material to increase the relevance and motivation of student learning, as students can see how physics concepts are integrated in their daily lives. The service method used includes observation, teacher training, and implementation of contextual learning based on sea-islands. The results showed that teachers who participated in the training were able to design and implement contextualized multirepresentation physics learning, which is relevant to the local sea-island environment. Students also responded positively and showed improvement in 4C skills through the island sea-based learning process and this learning is expected to continue to evolve and be applied in various learning contexts to advance 21st century skills among students

Abstract

Assessment plays an essential role in decision-making related to student success, especially in the Independent Curriculum, which encourages a holistic assessment approach. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve the skills of SMA/SMK/MA teachers in Leihitu District in compiling alternative assessments that are able to evaluate various aspects of student competency. This PKM was carried out for two days with training and mentoring methods. The activities were divided into two parts, namely two-day training and the second part was mentoring in compiling assessments. The results of this training showed an increase in teachers' ability to compile alternative assessments from the sufficient category to the good category. This finding confirms that the PKM activity has succeeded in improving teachers' ability to compile alternative assessments in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. These results show the importance of ongoing training for teachers to support the implementation of more effective assessments in accordance with the Independent Curriculum, which ultimately strengthens the quality of decisions related to student learning development.

Abstract

TiO2/CuO nanocomposite has been successfully synthesized using Wedelia trilobata (L.) leaf extract with TiCl3 and Cu(NO3)2 3H2O as precursors. The material formed was then characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to determine the shape and size and then energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) characterization to determine the atomic composition contained in this nanocomposite material. The results of SEM and EDX show that the material is spherical in shape and has an average size of 42 nm. The composition of TiO2 is 73.38% and CuO is 4.32%. Furthermore, the sample is characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) in which the diffraction peaks are at angles of 2 theta, 25.646° and 47.511° indicating TiO2 nanoparticle. Meanwhile, peaks are at 38.367° and 74.379° indicate CuO nanoparticle. Determination of the energy band gap of the material using the results of ultraviolet visible (UV-Vis) is 3.5 eV. Measurement of magnetic properties using VSM equipment. Based on the hysteresis curve, the TiO2/CuO nanocomposite material has diamagnetic properties and is a soft magnet material.

Abstract

The research aimed to produce a physics student worksheet (LKS) on vibrations and waves using guided inquiry-based methods. The research conducted refers to the modification of the LKS development model using the 4-D model. Respondents as test subjects in this study consisted of 9 students in class VIII1 on a small scale and 22 students in class VIII3 on a large scale. Based on the results of the research conducted, the eligibility validation results for the LKS were classified as very feasible with an average score of 3.7%, and could be used as a study guide. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the legibility of worksheets, both on small-scale and large-scale trials, were classified as high criteria or easily understood by students with an average percentage of acquisition scores on a small scale of 63% and a large scale of 67%. Furthermore, the results of the analysis of student responses to the development of LKS used during the learning process both on a small scale and on a large scale are in very good qualifications with an average acquisition score on a small scale of 92.45% and a large scale of 94.61%. The results of this study indicate that the development of worksheets based on the guided inquiry learning model can make students more active in obtaining information to solve problems given by the teacher so that vibration and wave material can be understood properly.
