Abstract

Floods are one of the disasters that still often occur in various regions in Indonesia, floods occur because of high rainfall that is not accompanied by green open spaces and clean river flows from garbage, therefore the plan for the biopore program is intended to minimize the occurrence of puddles. and flooding because water from the soil surface flows directly into the biopori media so that the water does not stay long on the soil surface, Biopori aims to improve the quality of groundwater and nutrients in the soil because the biopori media is filled with organic materials such as vegetable waste and leaves. fall / dry so that it is expected to be able to minimize air pollution from burning garbage because it is not uncommon for people who still burn garbage and waste in their yards, therefore the author makes a program with socialization and training methods so that people want to implement a biopore system around their yards to minimize flood control and puddles as well as organic waste in the biopore media can be used as compost. Overall, the community service activities that have been carried out are going well. Participation, cooperation, and assistance from the parties involved, both internally and externally, were carried out well. The results of the implementation of this community service activity are compiled with and adjusted to the stages of implementing the activities that have been carried out.

Abstract

Community service is a form of student service to the community. At the same time as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. One of the work programs in this service is the Health Socialization to Prevent Stunting and Malnutrition for Pregnant Women and Baby less than 2 Years in Tanjung Jaya. This socialization activity was carried out to increase the knowledge and understanding of the people of in Tanjung Jaya regarding stunting prevention. This activity is carried out by the method of direct implementation to the community. The results of this socialization activity are expected to be able to provide an understanding of the dangers of stunting and malnutrition in pregnant women and baby less than 2 years so that they can try to prevent them as early as possible.

Abstract

Exploration of resources in rural areas, especially in Jeli, Tulungagung is an effort that can increase the economic competitiveness of the Jeli community, through entrepreneur programs in various forms of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). SMEs have a role in contributing to increasing regional income and Indonesian income directly or indirectly. In order to improve and develop the existing business potential, community services activities are carried out in Jeli with the target of SME business. The method of implementing this activity includes 5 steps, including (1) the preparation step for industrial visits, (2) the environmental analysis step, (3) the socialization implementation step, (4) the step of tutorial and (5) discussion. Environmental analysis is carried out with the aim of knowing and finding significant problems in the SME management environment. So, it can be used to find out the initial solution to the conditions that exist in the SME environment. The results and activities after the implementation of the socialization are increased understanding of business management on factors of product marketing and business legality. The follow-up to the results of the activities is expected to be carried out on an ongoing basis to improve and develop the potential of SMEs in Jeli.

Abstract

Kebun Keling Village is a village with the opportunity to get a positive effect because administratively it is located in a tourism area which is always visited by every tourist who comes to Bengkulu City. Cleanliness and convenience around the village are important factors to increase the satisfaction of local and non-local tourists. The purpose of this activity is to provide exposure, discussion and setting of slogans to increase public awareness of cleanliness and convenience, especially for the community in Kebun Keling Village, Teluk Segara District, Bengkulu City. The results show that the people of Kebun Keling Village are aware of the cleanliness and convenience of the village environment.

Abstract

Beringin Raya has a vulnerability to the spread of the covid-19. This is because Beringin Raya come from various regions, especially boarding house residents, this area is the entrance to Bengkulu City which is directly adjacent to Mukomuko to West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this activity is as an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 in the Beringin Raya Village and to support government programs in overcoming the Covid-19. The activity is in the form of socialization about California papaya cultivation which has benefits for the health (nutrition) of the residents of the Beringin Raya Village. The results that the community in Beringin Raya understands and uses the California Papaya as a medicinal plant in preventing the spread of the covid-19.

Abstract

Household waste is the most common type of waste produced as a side effect of human activities. In its development, the handling of this waste problem cannot only rely on the government but there needs to be another alternative in the form of community empowerment in managing household waste through the application of composter techniques. By using a composter, besides reducing waste generation, it also helps maintain the capacity of the landfill and can create new sources of income for households. This service activity aims to educate the public about waste and its processing. The locus of this activity is RT 05 Bentiring Village, Bengkulu City, using the extension method. This community service activity has succeeded in changing the community's paradigm in managing household waste and encouraging the application of composting techniques at home.

Abstract

Online marketplace provides convenience for business actors to expand their product market more cheaply and effectively. To be able to sell products in the Online marketplace, business actors need to have an account on the marketplace. Desa Sri Kuncoro, which is a developing village, needs to improve itself more quickly to achieve the status of a developed village. One way is to increase product or business sales through an Online marketplace. The purpose of this service activity is to provide a better understanding for the people of Desa Sri Kuncoro regarding the use of online market places to increase their businesses. The results of the activity stated that the Desa Sri Kuncoro Community had understanding, knowledge and skills in using the Online marketplace.

Abstract

Gajahrejo Village, Gedangan sub-district, Malang Regency is a community service location, most of which work as coconut plantation farmers. The abundant harvest results in the low selling price of coconut at post-harvest. The making of VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) is an attraction for the people of Gajahrejo village as a daily profit, but the manufacture of VCO causes the accumulation of waste or coconut dregs which is not used properly and ends up being wasted. To increase the added value of coconuts, one of them is processing coconuts from VCO manufacturing waste into processed coconut cake products that are suitable as snacks. The limited innovation of human resources causes the low selling value of coconut, so that the utilization of coconut dregs is not maximized. Besides being suitable as a snack for making processed coconut cookies products and coconut lidah kucing cookies, it can also increase the productivity of PKK mothers to process cake products that can be marketed more broadly. The stage in the implementation of the service begins with the preparation of proposals, deepening the problems that exist in Gajahrejo Village, preparing human resources and technology, formulating recipes, testing coconut cakes and coconut lidah kucing cakes, implementing product manufacture in village locations, and preparing reports. Through that all solutions that can be done in the problems that occur are developing coconut processed innovations through training in making coconut cakes and coconut lidah kucing cookies for PKK women in Gajahrejo village and modeling product packaging to increase selling prices in the market. Training for PKK women as a new business opportunity (KUB) and can help support economic stability in the household.

Abstract

Learning strategies in developing the literacy skills of elementary school children in Bima district can be done through playing while learning. Learning activities carried out by elementary school (SD) teachers in helping students especially in literacy for students with learning difficulties (dyslexia) can be done in various ways. One of them is by implementing game activities in the learning process. The game activities here are the traditional Bima game activities (mpa'a mcimi). This activity can be modified by using word cards (flashcards) in it. Efforts made in helping students with learning difficulties (dyslexia) carried out at Jorato Sape Public Elementary School, Bima Regency used the implementation method which was carried out by checking the initial literacy skills of students in grades 1 to grade 5, implementing play activities, and evaluating. From the initial data, the ability of students' learning difficulties varies, from difficulty distinguishing letters, to difficulty combining syllables. While the application of the team uses games by utilizing word cards (flashcards) in these traditional games. Of the 14 students who had learning difficulties, 4 of them showed changes in recognizing letters better with 2 treatments. While 10 other students have not shown optimal changes. This is due to the lack of time and motivation from within the students.

Abstract

The Covid-19 case has major impact on Indonesia people, especially on health and economy. Increasing in Covid-19 cases in Bengkulu shows that prevention of Covid-19 is still not optimal. Family medicinal plants (toga) can be an alternative treatment to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This is because toga can increase the body's immunity such as consumption of herbs, herbal medicines and others. However, cultivation and efforts to provide toga in Bengkulu have not been maximized. The purpose of this service activity is to encourage public awareness to develop household toga cultivation as an immunity drug to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The results show that the community is aware of the importance of planting toga in the household environment.
