Abstract

A cerebrovascular accident or often referred to as a stroke is a clinical condition that occurs when the circulation of blood flow to the brain is disrupted due to a blockage of blood vessels or due to bleeding. The problem in this case is related to the low LGS value as measured using a goniometer, reduced muscle strength using the MMT value, related to the balance value as measured using the berg balance scale, there is pain as measured using the NRS value and the presence of spasticity as measured by using the Asworth scale, as well as decreased functional ability with the Barthel index and incorrect gait patterns. The physiotherapy intervention given in this study is by giving Infrared, Core stability exercise, Exercise therapy, and Gait Retraining Exercises. This research method uses a case report. The result is an increase in the value of LGS, MMT, berg balance scale, and there is a reduction in the value of pain, spasticity and improvement in gait patterns. But there is no change in the value of functional ability.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis of the knee is a degenerative disease that occurs in the joints and is progressive in nature which is characterized by damage to the cartilage structure which causes pathological changes in the joints. Symptoms that often arise are stiffness in the morning and there is also a "cracking" sound or also called a crepitus sound when making movements on the knee. Knee pain has an impact on various aspects of quality of life because it affects a decrease in functional activities such as squatting, standing, walking long distances, and going up and down stairs. The prevalence of Knee Osteoarthritis affects approximately 25% of adults and is currently increasing by 65% over the last 20 years. In this study the researchers conducted an intervention in the form of manual therapy for Mulligan Mobilization With Movement (MWM) and patella mobilization as well as exercise therapy in the form of stretching lower extremities, contract relax, quadriceps sets, active exercise and bridging exercise. The aim of the intervention was to reduce pain and increase functional activity in patients with Knee Osteoarthritis. The results of this study found a decrease in the level of pain intensity and a decrease in the disability score experienced by the patient.

Abstract

Frozen Shoulder (FS) is a common shoulder disorder characterized by a gradual increase in pain that is direct and limited. Movement of the glenohumeral joint ranges of motion. The pathophysiology of frozen shoulder is relatively clear as a pathological process. The study used a case report study conducted at the Praktik Mandiri Fisioterapi Magetan. The cause of Frozen Shoulder is still unknown, but there are other factors that trigger the occurrence of frozen shoulder including postoperative fractures resulting in limited movement of the shoulder, certain diseases, injuries to surrounding muscles. Physiotherapy plays a role in optimizing children's active movements using interventions in the form of infrared modalities, myofacial release, scapular mobilization, approximation, GTO release, contract relax stretching, and ice packs. After being treated for 3 times T1-T3 there was an increase and change in muscle strength by measuring muscle strength by MMT, pain by NRS, LGS by goniometer, and functional ability by SPADI Index.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Farmers are someone who spends a lot of time in the field to plant, fertilize and harvest. During the process of planting, farmers tend to be in a bent position for a long time. Low back pain is one of the complaints that can reduce human productivity. Low back pain does not recognize gender, age, or social status. Non-specific low back pain results in pain, muscle spasms, and muscle imbalance, so the stability of the abdominal and lower back muscles decreases, limited lumbar mobility, changes in posture and results in disability in sufferers of non-specific low back pain. The students aim to determine whether there is a correlation between working posture and the incidence of non-specific low back pain in farmers. Methods: The research method used by sampling using total sampling, the dependent variable was the work position and the independent variable in the researcher's research was non-specific low back pain. Results: Sig value. (2-sided) in the chi-square test is 0.018. Because the sig value (2-sided) is 0.018<0.05, then based on the decision-making above, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected Ha is accepted. This means that there is a relationship between working posture and non-specific low back pain in farmer groups. Conclusion: There is a correlation between working posture and the incidence of non-specific low back pain in farmers. Future researchers are expected to add or examine further related postures while working on workers and increase the number of respondents to be more relevant in the coming years
