Abstract: This qualitative study investigates elementary school students' difficulties in solving mixed arithmetic problems with whole numbers at SDN Gelam 2 Sidoarjo. Through a case study approach, nine fourth-grade students were selected based on their mathematical abilities, and data were collected using written tests and interviews. The findings reveal that students with low abilities struggle with conceptual understanding, while medium-ability students face challenges in principle application and verbalization. High-ability students encounter verbalization difficulties. The study emphasizes the importance of continuous training in mixed arithmetic problem-solving, integrating real-life scenarios to enhance mathematical understanding. It suggests educators play a crucial role in addressing students' learning difficulties effectively. Further research should include statistical analysis to provide a more detailed understanding of students' struggles in solving mixed arithmetic problems. Abstrak: Penelitian kualitatif ini menyelidiki kesulitan siswa sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal aritmatika campuran bilangan bulat di SDN Gelam 2 Sidoarjo. Melalui pendekatan studi kasus, sembilan siswa kelas empat dipilih berdasarkan kemampuan matematika mereka, dan data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes tertulis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam pemahaman konseptual, sedangkan siswa dengan kemampuan sedang menghadapi tantangan dalam penerapan prinsip dan verbalisasi. Siswa berkemampuan tinggi menghadapi kesulitan verbalisasi. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan dalam pemecahan masalah aritmatika campuran, mengintegrasikan skenario kehidupan nyata untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematika. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidik memainkan peran penting dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa secara efektif. Penelitian lebih lanjut harus mencakup analisis statistik untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih rinci tentang kesulitan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah aritmatika campuran.

Abstract: This study focuses on developing a high-quality learning module for first-grade students based on numeracy literacy under the independent curriculum. Following the Research and Development (R&D) method and utilizing the ADDIE model, the module underwent expert validation and practicality assessment through student responses. Results show the module achieved a highly valid score of 89% and practicality ratings of 93% in limited testing and 89% in extensive testing. The validated and practical module fills a gap in teaching materials, providing valuable resources for teachers to enhance students' numeracy literacy in primary education. Further research is suggested to evaluate its effectiveness in improving students' numeracy skills. Abstrak: Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan modul pembelajaran yang berkualitas tinggi untuk siswa kelas satu berdasarkan literasi numerasi di bawah kurikulum mandiri. Mengikuti metode Research and Development (R&D) dan menggunakan model ADDIE, modul tersebut menjalani validasi ahli dan penilaian kepraktisan melalui respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul tersebut mencapai nilai sangat valid sebesar 89% dan nilai kepraktisan sebesar 93% pada uji coba terbatas dan 89% pada uji coba luas. Modul yang telah divalidasi dan praktis ini mengisi kekosongan bahan ajar, menyediakan sumber daya yang berharga bagi para guru untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa di pendidikan dasar. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung siswa.

This qualitative study investigates the responses of 8th-grade students in writing recount texts at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Porong. Through interviews and analysis of students' texts, the research identifies students' chosen topics, feelings during writing, and difficulties faced. Results indicate that while many students struggle with composing recount texts effectively, they generally express positive feelings towards the task. These findings underscore the importance of teachers in supporting students' learning motivation and addressing writing challenges to enhance their writing skills.

Abstract: This study explores the impact of augmented reality (AR) methods on the beginning reading skills of grade II students at SD Negeri Ganting. Using a quantitative pre-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design, 25 students were assessed before and after receiving AR-based instruction. Results from SPSS Version 22 analysis revealed a significant improvement (p = 0.007 < 0.05) in reading skills post-treatment, indicating AR's effectiveness in enhancing early literacy development. These findings underscore the potential of AR technology as a valuable tool in educational settings for improving reading proficiency among young learners. Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak dari metode augmented reality (AR) terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SD Negeri Ganting. Dengan menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental kuantitatif satu kelompok pre-test post-test, 25 siswa dinilai sebelum dan sesudah menerima instruksi berbasis AR. Hasil dari analisis SPSS Versi 22 menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan (p = 0,007 < 0,05) dalam keterampilan membaca setelah perlakuan, yang menunjukkan efektivitas AR dalam meningkatkan perkembangan literasi awal. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi potensi teknologi AR sebagai alat yang berharga dalam lingkungan pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kemahiran membaca di kalangan pelajar muda.

Abstract: The personal competence of the counselor is an important component in guidance and counseling services. There are several components that can support the personal competence of the counselor, these two components are genuineness and empathy. The aim of this research is to determine the genuineness and empathy profile of counselors. The research method uses quantitative with a descriptive survey design. The sample used in this research was > 70 students at SMPN 12 Surabaya. The research instrument used a genuineness and empathy questionnaire based on Carl Rogers' Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) Theory because Rogers believed that genuineness and empathy from the therapist were very important for creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive. The results of this research show that the counselor's personal profile of genuineness has a high frequent percentage of 88.62%, then empathy is also often high, namely 90.2%. It can be concluded that based on the students' perspective, guidance and counseling teachers have good communication with students. Abstrak: Kompetensi pribadi konselor merupakan komponen penting dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling, terdapat beberapa komponen yang dapat menunjang kompetensi pribadi konselor, kedua komponen tersebut yaitu genuineness dan empathy. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil genuinenes dan empati konselor. Metode penelitian mempergunakan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptiv survey. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah > 70 peserta didik di SMPN 12 Surabaya. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket genuineness dan empaty berdasarkan Teori Carl Rogers' Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) karena Rogers percaya bahwa genuineness dan empati dari terapis sangat penting untuk menciptakan hubungan terapeutik yang aman dan mendukung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profil pribadi konselor genuineness memiliki persentase sering yang tinggi 88,62%, lalu untuk empati juga sering yang tinggi yaitu 90,2%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa berdasarkan perpektif peserta didik, guru bimbingan dan konseling memiliki komunikasi yang baik dengan peserta didik.

Abstract: This research is motivated by the importance of interpersonal communication between counselors and students in guidance and counseling services. This research aims to improve counselor interpersonal communication and meet professional standards. This research uses quantitative methods with a survey research design. The research population was 90 students in class The instrument used was a questionnaire. The results of the validity and reliability test of the student interpersonal communication instrument stated that the research instrument was valid and reliable. Research findings show that in general the description of counselor interpersonal communication according to the student's perspective is in the high category. The implications of the results of this research can be used as a needs analysis in creating guidance and counseling service programs relating to interpersonal communication through various types of counseling guidance services. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya komunikasi interpersonal antara konselor dan peserta didik dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapat gambaran komunikasi interpersonal konselor menurut perpektif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMK Yapalis Krian yang berjumlah 90 siswa, sampel berjumlah 64 siswa, yang dipilih dengan Teknik Sampling Kuota. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Hasil uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen komunikasi interpersonal siswa, menyatakan bahwa instrumen penelitian valid dan reliabel. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa secara umum gambaran komunikasi interpersonal konselor menurut perspektif siswa berada pada kategori tinggi. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai analisis kebutuhan dalam pembuatan program pelayanan Bimbingan dan Konseling yang berkenaan dengan komunikasi interpersonal melalui berbagai jenis layanan bimbingan konseling.

Abstract: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat tren penelitian dalam nilai-nilai kebangsaan dan Pancasila. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan analisis bibliometrik. Data yang digunakan adalah data base scopus selama 10 tahun terakhir, yakni dari 2015-2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian terkait bidang ini sangat meningkat pesat di Indonesia dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Hal ini tak lepas dari peran pemerintah Indonesia yang mengintegrasikan kurikulum pendidikannya dengan nilai-nilai kebangsaan dan Pancasila. Meskipun penelitian ini lebih banyak dilakukan dalam konteks PPKn, namun tak menutup peluang untuk diterapkan dalam bidang lain. Sehingga cakupan kajian ini bisa meluas mencakup isu-isu lingkungan, keberlanjutan, dan tanggung jawab sosial yang menjadi semakin penting dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan saat ini dengan mengaitkan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Abstrak: The purpose of this study is to see research trends in national values and Pancasila. The method used is bibliometric analysis. The data used is the Scopus database for the last 10 years, namely from 2015-2024. The results of the study show that research related to this field has increased rapidly in Indonesia in recent years. This is inseparable from the role of the Indonesian government in integrating its education curriculum with national values and Pancasila. Although this research is mostly carried out in the context of PPKn, it does not rule out the opportunity to be applied in other fields. So that the scope of this study can expand to include environmental issues, sustainability, and social responsibility which are becoming increasingly important in the development of science today by linking the values of Pancasila.

The study investigated the socio-economic and academic consequences of insecurity and kidnapping in senior secondary schools in Anambra State. Four research questions and four research hypotheses were formulated for the study. The design of the study was a descriptive survey design. The study was carried out in Anambra State. The study population was public SS 2 students in Anambra State. The sample of the study consisted of 400 SS2 students. The instrument for the study was a questionnaire consisting of 20 items. The instrument was validated by 3 experts – two experts in measurement and evaluation and one expert in administration. The reliability of the instrument was done using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (r) yielding a value of 0.86. Data analysis was conducted using mean and standard deviation for research question and t-test statistic was used to test the research hypotheses. The results of the study were as follows: there is a significant difference between the mean ratings to which insecurity influence academic performance of SS2 students in senior secondary schools; there is a significant difference between the mean ratings to which kidnapping influence academic performance of SS2 students in senior secondary schools; there is a significant difference between the mean ratings to which insecurity influence socio-economic development of SS2 students in senior secondary schools and there is a significant difference between the mean ratings to which kidnapping influence socio-economic development of SS2 students in senior secondary schools. The study recommended among others that government and traditional rulers should encourage dialogue and conflict resolution mechanisms at the community level to address underlying grievances and prevent conflicts from escalating into violence

Students’ poor retention and declining interest in literary appreciation have continued to pose serious challenges to the effective teaching and learning of Literature in English in Nigerian secondary schools. Traditional teaching methods that emphasize teacher-centered instruction often fail to sustain students’ long-term understanding and engagement. This study therefore investigated the interaction effect of gender and teaching methods on students’ retention in literary appreciation among Senior Secondary II students in Anambra State. The study adopted a quasi-experimental design using a pretest and posttest non-equivalent control group. Intact classes were assigned to experimental and control groups, with the experimental group taught through reciprocal peer tutoring and the control group through conventional teaching. Conducted in Anambra State, the study involved 65 Senior Secondary II students drawn from two co-educational schools. Data were collected using the Literature in English Achievement and Retention Test, validated and found reliable with a coefficient of 0.72. Teachers administered pretests, posttests, and retention tests. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and analysis of covariance at a 0.05 significance level. The findings revealed that male students recorded a posttest mean score of (52.81) and retention mean of (55.61) with a gain of (2.80), while female students had posttest and retention means of (51.47) and (52.58) with a gain of (1.11). This indicated that males achieved slightly higher retention using the conventional method. The ANCOVA result showed a significance value of (0.102), which exceeded the (0.05) level, leading to the acceptance of the null hypothesis. Hence, there was no significant interaction effect of gender and teaching methods on students’ retention in literary appreciation, implying that retention was independent of gender. The study concluded that students’ retention depended more on the teaching strategies employed than on gender differences. It recommended that Literature in English teachers adopt more interactive and student-centered approaches such as Reciprocal Peer Tutoring to enhance understanding and long-term retention in literary studies.
