Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out pyschological factors and dominant factor affecting English Students′ willingness to communicate in English in Social Media. The design of this research was descriptive method. The instrument of the research was questionnaire based on MacIntyre et al. in Tuyen, Thị, & Loan (2019: 253) psychological factor affecting the students willingness to verbal communicate using English in Social Media and the questionnaire adapted from Chotipaktanasook (2017) research. The result of the research were: there are five psychological factors affecting the seventh semester students willingness to communicate in English in social media they are: Self confidence, Perceived communicative competence, learning anxiety, Students’ motivation and Personality. The dominant psychological factors affecting the seventh semester students willingness to communicate in English in social media is students motivation factor. Afterthat in communicate verbally (oral and written) the students more like or dominant use written communicate because it can make the students more confident. From the result, the researcher will give suggestion for the students: It is suggested the students can be more confident to oral communicate using English in social media. The students also diminish their anxiety to be better communicate orally using English in social media and in their daily life.

Abstract

This study investigates the development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum with a focus on achieving a balance between academic and practical components. The primary objective is to create a curriculum model that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications, thereby fostering a comprehensive understanding and real-world skills among students. The research methodology includes qualitative analysis through interviews and observations, providing insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the current PAI curriculum. Key findings suggest that an effective implementation of a balanced curriculum requires meticulous planning, continuous professional development for educators, sufficient resources, and ongoing evaluation. The proposed curriculum model encompasses essential elements such as detailed theoretical instruction, interactive practical activities, and regular assessments to ensure both relevance and efficacy. Furthermore, strategies for successful implementation are highlighted, including stakeholder involvement, structured training programs, and systematic resource allocation. The study's contribution lies in its practical recommendations for educators and policymakers, aimed at enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education. By addressing the identified challenges and providing actionable strategies, this research supports the development of a more balanced and effective PAI curriculum, ultimately benefiting the holistic development of students and the educational system as a whole.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh metode pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa di SDN 15 Padang Genting, dengan fokus pada pentingnya keterampilan membaca dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan guru, observasi di kelas, dan analisis dokumen hasil belajar siswa. Metode ini memungkinkan pengumpulan informasi yang mendalam mengenai praktik pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang interaktif dan bervariasi, seperti penggunaan media visual, diskusi kelompok, dan pendekatan berbasis teks naratif, secara signifikan meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap teks bacaan. Sebaliknya, metode yang monoton dan berpusat pada guru cenderung menghambat perkembangan keterampilan membaca. Selain itu, dukungan keluarga dan ketersediaan bahan bacaan di sekolah juga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa. Simpulan, Pemilihan pendekatan pendidikan yang tepat sangat memengaruhi kemampuan membaca siswa. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar guru menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan beragam untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran membaca di sekolah, guna mendukung perkembangan keterampilan literasi siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji komponen semantik dari beberapa slogan iklan produk, dengan fokus pada makna gramatikal dan leksikal. Tujuan spesifiknya adalah untuk mendeskripsikan makna leksikal dan gramatikal dari slogan-slogan iklan produk tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari slogan iklan berbagai produk komersial, seperti Milkita, FreshCare, Kiko, Bear Brand, Aqua, dan Minyak Kayu Putih Cap Lang. Analisis dilakukan secara mendalam untuk mengidentifikasi dan menginterpretasikan elemen-elemen semantik yang berkontribusi pada makna setiap slogan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna leksikal dan gramatikal dalam slogan-slogan tersebut memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk pemahaman dan persepsi konsumen terhadap produk yang diiklankan. Setiap elemen bahasa yang digunakan dalam slogan membawa muatan makna yang dapat memengaruhi daya tarik dan efektivitas iklan. Simpulan, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang lebih dalam mengenai pengaruh strategi bahasa dalam iklan, serta menunjukkan pentingnya pemahaman terhadap makna semantik dalam konteks periklanan. Abstract

A sentence is the smallest unit of language, in oral or written form, and capable of expressing a complete thought. Fairy tales are fictional stories that not only contain moral values, but are also made to entertain. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the sentence patterns in the fairy tale “Muni Peniup Terompet” by Endang Firdaus using descriptive qualitative research methods. In this research, secondary data was used and data collection was carried out using observation and analysis methods, then carrying out reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this research contain sentence patterns in the fairy tale texts being analyzed. The sentence patterns found are: 1) S and P; 2) S-P and O; 3) S-P-O and K; 4) K-S-P and O; and 5) K-S-P and K. Keywords: Sentence, Sentence Patterns, Fairy Tale

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan kalimat interogatif dalam acara Talk Show Mata Najwa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan sumber data berupa percakapan antara pembawa acara dan bintang tamu. Data yang dianalisis adalah kalimat interogatif yang digunakan oleh pembawa acara, Najwa Shihab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kalimat tanya yang digunakan Najwa Shihab bervariasi dan memiliki fungsi yang berbeda. Secara umum, pertanyaan dibagi menjadi tiga kategori utama: (1) pertanyaan yang memerlukan jawaban berupa alasan atau keterangan rinci untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam terhadap topik diskusi, (2) pertanyaan yang membutuhkan jawaban singkat berupa pengakuan atau persetujuan (ya/tidak), meskipun sering kali dijawab dengan penjelasan lebih panjang, dan (3) pertanyaan yang membutuhkan opini untuk menggali sudut pandang subjektif narasumber. Simpulan, bahwa melalui variasi kalimat interogatif ini, diskusi dalam Talk Show Mata Najwa mampu mengeksplorasi pendapat, pengakuan, dan pernyataan narasumber terkait berbagai isu, termasuk gerakan mahasiswa dan proses legislasi.
