Abstract

Hallucinations are one of the most common mental health problems experienced by those with mentaldisorders. The purpose of this case study is to describe the implementation of mental health nursing care for sensory perception disorders of hearing with nurse caring behavior based on Jean Watson's theory. The number of clients used is 3 people, namely clients who experience sensory perception disorders in Srigonjo village. The design of this case study is descriptive qualitative using interview techniques, observation, direct observation, and data collection using patient assessments. The nursing problem raised is sensory perception disorders of hearing. and the nursing actions given are hallucination management. Before being given the action, it was found that the three patients often heard whispering voices inviting them to talk, liked to talk to themselves, daydreamed, liked to smile to themselves, mumbled, often looked at the outside environment or did not concentrate, were uncooperative and the patients looked dirty. After the intervention was given, the patient experienced changes where eye contact was already there when spoken to, was able to concentrate, and was able to apply the rebuke techniques taught. Thus, it can be said that hallucination management with Jean Watson's theoretical approach has a good impact.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal pain is acute or chronic pain, either persistent or recurring, that affects bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. According to Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2018, the prevalence of musculoskeletal diseases in Indonesia has reached 7,3%. One of the risk factors is body composition and physical activity. This study aims to determine the relationship between body composition and physical activity with musculoskeletal pain among minimarket workers in Palembang City. An observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted on 50 respondents. Body composition was measured using Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, while data on physical activity levels and musculoskeletal pain were collected using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form and the Nordic Body Map Questionnaire. The study results show that the majority of minimarket workers had overfat body composition (32%); moderate physical activity levels (46%); and low risk of musculoskeletal pain (38%), with the most common areas of pain were the back and waist (40%). Bivariate analysis using Pearson’s Chi-Square test between body composition and musculoskeletal pain showed PR = 15.625 and p-value < 0.001. Meanwhile, the analysis of physical activity levels and musculoskeletal pain showed PR = 2.311 and p-value = 0.166. Thus, there is a significant relationship between body composition and musculoskeletal pain. However, there is an insignificant relationship between physical activity levels and musculoskeletal pain among minimarket workers in Palembang City.

Abstract

Elderly individuals experience various physiological changes that increase the risk of falls, such as reduced muscle mass, balance, and sensory function. One intervention method that can be used to reduce fall risk is Square Stepping Exercise (SSE), a step-based physical exercise designed to improve balance and coordination in older adults. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Square Stepping Exercise in reducing the risk of falls among elderly residents at UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Banyuwangi. This research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test & post-test approach. The study sample consisted of 35 elderly individuals selected using purposive sampling. Data was collected through observations using the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) before and after the SSE intervention. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The study results showed that the average balance score before the intervention was 28.17, which increased to 38.77 after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test results indicated a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), demonstrating a significant difference in balance scores before and after the intervention. Square Stepping Exercise is proven effective in reducing the risk of falls among the elderly at UPT PSTW Banyuwangi. This exercise can be adopted as a preventive measure to enhance balance in older adults. It is recommended that Square Stepping Exercise be routinely implemented in social care homes and elderly communities as a fall prevention strategy. Healthcare providers can offer education and guidance to ensure that older adults can perform this exercise independently or with supervision.

Abstract

Adolescents are residents in the age group between the ages of 10 years and 18 years. During menstruation, teenagers need to know about reproductive organs, physical and psychological changes, in order to avoid risk factors that threaten the health and safety of reproductive organs. Hygiene during menstruation is important in determining the health of adolescent girls' reproductive organs. Prevention of diseases of the reproductive tract can be overcome if women are active in maintaining the cleanliness of their reproductive organs so that germs do not easily enter and cause infections. This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and students' personal hygiene behavior during menstruation. Analytical research method with a cross sectional design. Sampling used simple random sampling. research population 146, sample size 58. Questionnaire research instrument. Data analysis using the Kendall Tau test. The results of data analysis show a relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene behavior during menstruation at Trunojoyo Middle School with a P value of 0.039. The suggestion that researchers can convey is that there is a need for counseling and providing reproductive health education to students, both by teachers, health workers and parents, even though students already have fairly good knowledge, the aim is to reduce the incidence of disease due to students' lack of knowledge about personal hygiene during menstruation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of clinical pharmacy in overcoming drug-related problems (DRPs) related to antibiotic therapy through a systematic literature review. Antibiotics are essential in treating infections, but their increased use also brings new challenges in the form of DRPs that can affect the effectiveness of therapy and patient safety. The method used in this study follows the PRISMA 2020 guidelines by conducting a search in the Wiley and Google Scholar databases for articles published between 2020 and 2025. Of the 103 articles found, seven articles met the inclusion criteria set. The results showed that clinical pharmacists play a critical role in identifying and addressing issues related to antibiotic use. This includes assessing the appropriateness of indications, dosages, and treatment length. The partnership between clinical pharmacists and healthcare teams has resulted in better clinical results. Furthermore, educating patients on the correct use of antibiotics can improve adherence and lower the likelihood of drug-related problems (DRPs). These findings underscore the importance of clinical pharmacist involvement in the management of antibiotic therapy to improve patient safety and treatment effectiveness.
