Abstract

Increasing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is one of the top priorities for governments in many countries due to its crucial role in driving economic growth and development. In order to achieve this goal, effective legal strategies play an important role in creating a conducive investment environment. The research method used in this study is the literature research method. The results show that successful IALs are those that have successfully simplified their licensing procedures and adopted transparency in the regulatory process. In addition, the provision of strong legal protection of investor rights, including through intellectual property enforcement and fair and efficient dispute resolution mechanisms, has also been shown to increase foreign investor confidence. Therefore, an effective legal strategy in enhancing IAL should include a blend of process simplification, legal certainty, investor protection, and social responsibility to create an attractive investment environment for foreign investors.

Abstract

This study explores the prevalence of gossip and rumours in Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird (1960) and Zora Neale Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God (1937). Both novels demonstrate how unspoken words and hearsay impact the lives of heroes and bring a clash between them and their communities. Both are set in the American South during a period of social and racial conflict. This paper examines how Hurston and Lee employ whispers and gossip as narrative strategies to emphasise themes of prejudice, identity and societal judgement. In Hurston’s novel the unrelenting chatter of the villagers continuously impedes and shapes Janie Crawford’s path for self-discovery. It mirrors the social dynamics and power structures in her community as a challenge to her route of self-fulfillment. Analogously, Lee depicts the detrimental effects of racial and social prejudice in Maycomb, Alabama. He shows how the dissemination of false rumours affects the lives of people like Boo Radley. This study contends that rumours and gossip function as both representations of larger society issues and instruments for character development in both novels. The purpose of the article is to show how important rumours and gossip are to comprehending the writers’ criticisms of social injustice and the human condition. In the end, this analysis aims to highlight the significance of the unsaid and its deep influence on interpersonal relationships as well as community dynamics.

Abstract

Implementation of good agriculture or Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) from the producer's perspective is a concept that guarantees the welfare of farmers, their families and workers, while from the consumer's perspective they get products of high quality and safe nutritional value. The GAP concept also guarantees environmental sustainability, so that the implementation of GAP can restore the condition of agricultural land which is increasingly damaged due to the use of chemical inputs. Demands for environmental sustainability will become increasingly stringent, even though at the same time population pressure on land resources will also become stronger. Facing these challenges and consumer demands, and in order for agricultural products to be more globally competitive, agricultural practices need to be perfected, so that they are more productive and efficient and more responsible to consumers, farm workers and the environment. These agricultural practices are Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). GAP covers the product certification process from before the seeds are planted until they leave the farm. Implementation of Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) is a holistic approach with an emphasis on activities that can affect production quality, the environment and occupational health and safety. Sustainable management of GAP is not just for market interests but has become a national commitment that long-term sustainable development is determined by a balance of attention between humans and the environment, in other words the agricultural sector is expected to be able to produce products with positive benefits in the environmental, social and economic fields.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Qur'anic Tahfidz Programme in Improving Students' Academic Discipline and Achievement refers to the integral benefits that a structured programme in memorising the Qur'an brings to the improvement of students' personal discipline as well as learning achievement. The programme not only facilitates students' mastery of religious content, but also leads them to adopt regular and systematic study habits, which has a direct impact on improving their academic performance. The research method used in this study was literature review. The results of the literature review showed that students involved in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Programme showed significant improvements in self-discipline and academic performance. The discipline applied in following a structured study schedule regularly correlates positively with the level of concentration and learning efficiency in other academic subjects. Abstract

Active learning method is an approach to teaching and learning that emphasises students' direct and active participation in learning activities. Instead of being passive recipients of information, students engage in discussions, simulations, hands-on practice, group projects, and various other forms of interaction designed to stimulate engagement and critical thinking skills. The aim is to increase understanding of the material, motivate students, and ultimately improve learning achievement through a more dynamic and engaging learning experience. The study in this research uses the literature research method. The results of the analysis from various literatures show that active learning methods significantly contribute to increasing students' learning motivation. Students who are directly involved in the learning process tend to have higher interest and enthusiasm, which leads to increased academic commitment. In addition, active learning methods also have a positive impact on students' learning achievement. A deeper understanding of the material, better critical thinking skills, and the ability to apply knowledge in different contexts are some of the resulting benefits. Thus, the implementation of active learning methods in primary schools is proven to be effective in improving students' motivation and learning achievement, making it an important strategy in efforts to improve the quality of primary education.

Abstract

Urban agriculture is an activity that has a dual role and function in urban life, where urban agriculture is not only related to reducing food insecurity which has an impact on public health, urban poverty and improving urban environmental management. Entrepreneurial behavior is very likely to be identified among conventional or semi-commercial farmers. Several entrepreneurial skills are needed for companies that are heavily connected to the market, which requires understanding of the market, human resource management and accurate information management. Entrepreneurial behavior can be seen from another perspective, namely where a farmer takes into account economic risks in their business, is aware of business uncertainty due to climate and market changes, aims to maximize business profits by expanding business activities, is always oriented towards business growth and always pursues opportunities. there for business growth. In general, farmers in Tasikmalaya are semi-commercial farmers, they still run their farming conventionally, are income-oriented, carry out production activities according to the resources they have, and have not adapted to market needs. Farmers collaborate with other mango farmers in the production aspect, but this has not been done in terms of the market.
