Abstract

Classical Quranic interpretation is a way of interpreting the holy book of Islam that comes from the research of previous scholars, based on traditional principles including the scope of the Arabic language, the historical context of the revelation of verses, and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, among other sources that are considered authentic and authoritative. While modern tafsir is a contemporary approach to understanding the Quran that applies hermeneutics, social analysis, and cutting-edge scientific perspectives to answer new issues and the dynamics of today's life, while still adhering to the basic principles of Islam and often trying to connect classical texts with modern realities. The research method used in this study is the literature study method. The results show that despite the differences between classical and modern tafsir, they have great potential to complement each other. Classical tafsir, with its rich historical roots and methodology, provides the basis for a deep and authentic understanding of the teachings of the Quran. On the other hand, modern tafsir, through a more flexible and responsive approach to the times, offers insights that are adaptive and relevant to the current social, political and scientific context. The combination of these two approaches not only enriches the understanding of Islam, but also facilitates the application of Quranic teachings in the context of contemporary life.

Abstract

This paper will discuss the criminal provisions of data privacy law and anatomy of cybercrime law in Indonesia before the amendment of ICT Law and its implementation. During pandemic time, cyber incidents have increased over time. Indeed, cybercrime law in Indonesia regulates prohibition of hacking, phishing, illegal interception, carding, pornography, defamation and so on in accordance with the Electronic Information and Transactions Act (Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik, UU-ITE hereinafter also referred to as ‘Indonesia ICT Law), Law No. 11 of 2008 which later on revised into Law No. 19 of 2016 and currently became Law No. 1 of 2024. At the same time, Law No. 27 of 2022 (Personal Data Protection/ PDP Law) concerning data privacy protection also stipulated criminal provision and already used in case law. This law can be a part of cybercrime law system in Indonesia side by side with Indonesia ICT Law. Back to Indonesia ICT Law, the implementation of this law can be seen in 210 case law which I have collected and analysed in this paper. I have found that cases are dominated by online defamation, hate speech on social media, pornography, and extortion. Meanwhile, these cases are relatively similar with ‘ordinary crime’ which is regulated in criminal code. The high technological crimes such as hacking, phishing, illegal interception, carding, are less shown, hereby. The highest case number is online defamation which it was also triggered by some human rights activists sued to judicial review through the constitutional court to eliminate the article concerning online defamation. The reason of judicial review concerning online defamation is because this article may potentially oppress the freedom expression, freedom of speech, and freedom of press. The anatomy of cybercrime law in Indonesia still remains some problems in legal norms and legal practice.

Abstract

Blockchain technology, with its decentralized architecture and underlying cryptography, offers a solution to secure and protect data more effectively than conventional systems. Every transaction recorded on a blockchain is first verified by a network of nodes together before it can be carried out, making surreptitious modification of data almost impossible. In addition, the cryptographic security features of the blockchain ensure that only interested parties can access the data, and the transparent transaction records can facilitate the audit process to be more precise and accurate. However, the implementation of blockchain technology is also faced with various obstacles. Issues such as capacity, data privacy, and regulation are the main challenges that need to be overcome to enable its wider adoption. Technical complexities and a lack of public understanding of the technology are also slowing down its acceptance in various industry sectors. Therefore, this research recommends a hybrid approach that combines traditional and blockchain technologies to create a more comprehensive and resilient data security solution.

This study aims to provide a comparative analysis of social media strategies employed by successful entrepreneurs, with a focus on the role of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. To investigate this topic, the researchers conducted a bibliometric review of the existing literature. The review explored how entrepreneurial leaders utilize social media, with a particular emphasis on the content and tone of their online communications. The researchers conducted a comprehensive search of academic databases, including Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, to identify relevant scholarly articles and publications. . The search terms used included a combination of keywords related to social media, entrepreneurship, and business growth, such as "social media strategies", "entrepreneurial success", "small and medium enterprises", and "digital marketing". The findings from this study reveal that entrepreneurs employ a diverse range of social media strategies to drive the growth and development of their businesses. For instance, distributing information via Instagram-utilizing hashtags, captions, or tags on uploaded links assists SMEs in conducting promotions and advertisements for newly launched products. Entrepreneurs also use social media platforms to interact directly with key stakeholders, such as employees, suppliers, financiers, and partners, as well as other entrepreneurs and industry experts.

Abstract

The capital market has a significant role in promoting economic growth through fundraising mechanisms and efficient capital allocation. This study uses the research method. The results show that a developed and liquid capital market provides cheaper and easier access to funding for firms, allowing them to expand and innovate which in turn increases productivity and production capacity. In addition, capital markets also strengthen transparency and corporate governance, which not only increases investor confidence but also maintains overall economic stability. An effective capital market encourages companies to meet higher reporting and auditing standards, which in turn improves their accountability and performance. This allows for a more efficient allocation of resources to sectors with high growth prospects, thereby spurring innovation and value addition in the economy. However, these positive impacts are more pronounced in countries with adequate financial infrastructure and supportive regulations. In developing countries, challenges such as lack of liquidity, information imbalances, and political instability remain major obstacles. In this context, the literature review emphasizes the importance of building strong capital market infrastructure, improving financial literacy, and continuous efforts in strengthening regulations to maximize the contribution of capital markets to economic growth. With the right strategy, capital markets can be an important pillar in promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
