Abstract

BEPS consists of a series of measures created to close loopholes in international tax regulations that allow companies to channel their profits to jurisdictions with low or zero tax rates. The study conducted in this research uses the literature study method. The results show that the BEPS policy has successfully improved transparency and accountability in multinational companies' tax reporting. It strengthens transfer pricing rules, introduces country-by-country (CbC) reporting, and implements a multilateral framework to facilitate cooperation between countries in addressing tax issues. Nonetheless, implementation challenges remain, such as the need for companies to adjust their business structure and operations, as well as the importance of consistent coordination between jurisdictions in implementing this policy.

Abstract

In an era of digital revolution where interconnectivity and globalisation are growing at a rapid pace, innovation in legal management has become a necessity for every organisation to survive in the midst of fierce competition and comply with increasingly complex regulations. Legal departments that used to focus on reactive roles such as dispute resolution and fulfilling minimum obligations are now transforming into more strategic and proactive entities. The implementation of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and automation has changed the way law departments work, enabling increased efficiency, reduced costs and a focus on value-added activities. Globalisation and increasing regulatory complexity require law departments to have rapid adaptability and a deep understanding of the laws of various jurisdictions. The role of the legal department has expanded from a mere compliance watchdog to a strategic business partner capable of responding responsively to changing regulations and market dynamics. However, this transformation is faced with obstacles such as internal resistance to change, limited resources, and the challenge of integrating new technology into existing systems. The success of legal management innovation depends on effective strategy, visionary leadership, and appropriate investment in human resources and technology. In conclusion, to achieve effective and innovative legal management, an organisation needs to overcome these constraints through a strategic and progressive approach. By creating an enabling environment for innovation and growth, legal can act as a strategic partner that not only ensures compliance and risk management but also supports the sustainable achievement of business objectives.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Problem of Underage Working Children in Helping to Meet Family Needs in Gampong Alue Seutui, Jeunieb District, Bireuen Regency". The aim of this research is to find out what factors influence underage children working and what impact this has on children who work. This research uses qualitative research and uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. From the research results, researchers obtained data that the factors that cause children to have to work in Gampong Alue Seutui are based on several factors including economic factors, cultural factors, parental factors, and their own will. The family has the main view of dealing with all children who work, but the family is unable to deal with children who work because considering economic limitations, the child has to step in to meet the needs for survival. The Alue Seutui community always plays an active role in providing protection for children, however, with the very weak economic situation in the community, it is very difficult to prevent children from working. With the phenomenon of child labor like this, the government must make economic improvements for the welfare of the people, so that it is hoped that the poverty rate will decrease, which will then be followed by an increase in the quality of education in society.

Abstract

Effective curriculum management is the key to realising quality learning at every level of education. In this process, curriculum organisation involves thorough planning, flexible implementation and continuous evaluation. Good management ensures that teaching materials are appropriate to students' needs and able to respond to the ongoing changes in social, technological and economic contexts. Regular evaluation and critical reflection on the curriculum allows for quick and appropriate adaptation, keeping it relevant to the latest developments. This prepares students with critical thinking skills, creativity and 21st century competencies that are essential to determine their future success. Besides focusing on students, a good curriculum management strategy also strengthens parental and community involvement in the education process. Through effective communication and active participation, families and communities can support learning and fill an important role in an inclusive and conducive education ecosystem. Effective curriculum management also involves continuous professional development for teachers, ensuring that they continuously update their competencies and adopt best practices in teaching. Well-trained and motivated teachers tend to be innovative, creating dynamic learning environments and supporting improved student learning outcomes. Thus, curriculum management is the strategic foundation that ensures that every element in the educational process functions optimally to achieve superior educational quality.

Abstract

Responsive regulation is key to balancing consumer protection and business innovation in the financial technology sector. Piloting new products under regulatory supervision can be a solution to test new products while maintaining a clear legal framework. Multi-stakeholder consultation processes and dialogue with regulators add to the complexity of rule adaptation. For legal management, a strong regulatory monitoring capacity is required along with a dedicated team to ensure timely compliance. On the other hand, businesses need flexibility through anticipation of rule changes, data analytics, and the latest technology to observe the impact of regulations in real-time. Close multi-stakeholder collaboration is key to creating rules that are fair to all parties and support sustainable innovation. Joint adaptability between government, industry, and academia will enable the growth of the digital economy without abandoning consumer protection.

Abstract

Civil law transformation includes changes and developments in the civil law system that occur over time. These changes are influenced by various factors, including social, economic, political and technological. The aim of this transformation is to ensure that civil law remains relevant and capable of regulating legal relationships between individuals and entities in an ever-evolving society. Indonesian Civil Law aims to determine which law applies and which courts have authority in civil cases across national borders. The history of Private International Law begins during feudalism in Europe. The transformation of Private International Law occurred in line with changes in the structure of society which increasingly tended towards a territorialistic society throughout Europe. In the Indonesian context, Private International Law has an important role in protecting the rights and interests of Indonesian citizens abroad, facilitating international trade, resolving international disputes, international cooperation, and protecting intellectual property rights.

Abstract

In pursuit of enhancing tax revenues, particularly from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Jambi City, fostering honesty, transparency, efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability in tax payment necessitates an analysis of factors influencing voluntary tax compliance among MSME owners. This study aims to investigate the impact of tax knowledge, accounting information, and tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance within the MSME sector in Jambi City. Employing a quantitative approach, this research encompasses a purposive sampling method, with a sample size of 40 respondents selected based on the population of MSMEs in Jambi City. Multiple regression analysis serves as the inferential statistical method for data analysis. Findings indicate that while tax knowledge exhibits no significant influence on taxpayer compliance, accounting information significantly affects compliance. Furthermore, the joint effect of tax knowledge and accounting information significantly influences taxpayer compliance. However, tax sanctions do not moderate the relationship between tax knowledge and taxpayer compliance, whereas they do moderate the impact of accounting information on compliance

Abstract

Tax risk management is a central aspect for multinational companies operating in multiple jurisdictions with diverse tax regulations. The key to meeting this challenge is the implementation of a comprehensive and integrated risk management strategy. Key challenges include internal resistance to change, the need for cross-departmental coordination, and global communication issues. In addition, non-uniformity in tax monitoring and reporting can increase the risk of non-compliance, which in turn can potentially lead to legal sanctions. To overcome these challenges, companies need to focus on continuous training and skills development for employees. Investment in technology that supports tax risk management is also central, including data analysis tools and solid audit systems. Ensuring cross-departmental integration and efficient communication can help support a collaborative approach to tax risk management, strengthen transparency, and improve accuracy in tax reporting. The implication of this strategy is that multinational companies can minimise tax management risks and mitigate potential adverse legal sanctions. With the systematic adoption of such strategies, companies not only maintain compliance with tax regulations, but also strengthen their position in an increasingly competitive global business climate. Thus, an effective tax risk management strategy can be one of the critical pillars in the long-term success of multinational companies.
