Abstract

Wakatobi as one of the areas in the coral triangle is home to hundreds of coral reef species and also other marine biota. The massive marine biota in this area made Wakatobi designated as a national park in 2002 and since then various coral reef conservation efforts have been carried out since it was designated as a national park. This research describes the significance of coral reefs in Wakatobi from an ecological and economic perspective, the challenges faced in coral reef conservation, ranging from natural factors to inadequate infrastructure that cannot maximize the potential of this area, to efforts made for coral reef conservation through programs and international cooperation. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The results found that the Wakatobi national park area has great potential, but requires collaboration from various parties to maximize the existing potential so that efforts made by Indonesia in coral reef conservation must involve various actors ranging from local communities to collaboration between ministries and international organizations to maximize the potential of this region because coral reefs play a significant role in the development of marine life around it.

Abstract

Searching for information is one of the main services provided by the university library, functioning to support various academic activities carried out by students and lecturers. In this context, librarians play a very important role, especially in helping library users to find, evaluate, and utilize information sources that are relevant to their needs. This research aims to analyze in depth the role of librarians in the process of searching for information at the Bina Darma University Library, Palembang. Using a qualitative approach, this research explains several key aspects, namely the definition of a librarian, librarian competencies, and the role of librarians in searching for information. The research results show that librarians have a crucial role in increasing information literacy among students and lecturers, as well as ensuring efficient and effective access to various available library resources.

Abstract

As we know information cannot be separated from humans for the sake of daily survival, information is also available in various forms and places of provision, one of which is the library. Libraries are indistinguishable from schools because they influence teaching and learning activities. In this article, the author uses a qualitative approach method so as to produce data that has been analyzed by the author regarding the reasons why the implementation of library facilities and infrastructure influences student interest in visiting SMP N 1 Sirah Pulau Padang. The results showed that the data obtained at the SMP N 1 SP library. Padang as a whole regarding facilities and infrastructure is quite complete. Starting from the library room which is quite spacious when compared to other school libraries in this sirah padang island area, besides that, the interior arrangement is quite appropriate to be called a library. The arrangement and arrangement of the books are in accordance with their respective classification numbers, it's just that the pasting of the book numbers has not been evenly distributed, only on certain books that have book numbers on the back of the book.

Abstract

Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi merupakan perpustakaan yang didirikan dilingkungan perguruan tinggi, yang berguna untuk membantu mahasiswa ataupun para dosen yang berada dilingkungan tersebut. Maka dengan itu koleksi sarana dan prasarana yang diberikan pun harus yang terbaik, agar para penggunanya merasa nyaman serta puas atas koleksi yang diberikan oleh perpustakaan tersebut. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan observasi secara langsung. Penelitian Kualitatif Deskriptif adalah pendekatan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan fenomena secara mendalam berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan dalam bentuk narasi atau deskripsi, tanpa manipulasi variabel atau pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Perpustakaan Universitas Palembang memperoleh anggaran dari badan induknya yaitu Universitas Palembang sebesar 2% untuk melakukan pengembangan koleksi yang dilakukan setiap 2 tahun sekali. Penyelenggaraan perpustakaan Universitas Palembang dimaksud kan untuk menyediakan dan melayani akses informasi ilmiah secara efektif dan efisien dalam pelayanan pengguna civitas akademika Universitas Palembang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dampak layanan dan fasilitas perpustakaan terhadap minat baca siswa SMA LTI IGM Palembang. Penurunan minat baca di kalangan muda adalah masalah yang menantang di seluruh dunia. Dalam penelitian ini, peran perpustakaan dalam mempromosikan minat baca dikaji, dengan fokus pada layanan dan fasilitas yang disediakan oleh perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed-methods, yang menggabungkan metode pengumpulan dan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan dan fasilitas perpustakaan, seperti koleksi buku, basis data online, dan program baca, memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap minat baca siswa. Secara khusus, ketersediaan buku dan sumber daya online, serta promosi kegiatan baca oleh perpustakaan, ditemukan memiliki korelasi positif dengan frekuensi dan motivasi membaca siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini menghargai pentingnya menciptakan lingkungan perpustakaan yang nyaman dan menyambut, serta memberikan dukungan yang kuat dari perpustakaan dan guru-guru, untuk menumbuhkan rasa cinta membaca di kalangan siswa. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki implikasi untuk politisi pendidikan, perpustakaan, dan pendidik yang ingin meningkatkan minat baca siswa dan meningkatkan prestasi akademis mereka secara keseluruhan

Abstract

Social media is classified as new media in the mass media group. The purpose of the study was to determine the role of the @Vmuliana account in fulfilling job information needs. The research method is a descriptive survey method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The results showed (1) the Tiktok @Vmuliana account as media has a big role in fulfilling user information needs. (2) @Vmuliana account can function as an information media according to the needs of the audience, so that users feel satisfied after using @Vmuliana account. (3) Socio-psychological factors (seeking job information) encourage followers to use the @Vmuliana account as a medium for information about job vacancies. (3) The information in the @Vmuliana content is considered varied and easy for followers to understand. (4) The credibility of the information is based on Vina Muliana's work experience which is explained in detail and structured. (5). Interest in information is shown by positive feedback from followers, comments, likes, shares, and many reposts. This shows that followers like the content as an addition to job knowledge.

Abstract

This study is entitled "The Influence of Big Book Media on the Ability to Recognize Hijaiyah Letters of Children Aged 4-5 Years at the Bahagia Bersama PAUD, Sirah Pulau Padang District, OKI Regency". This research method is an experiment "Pre-Experimental Design" using the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample used was 20 children aged 4-5 years at the Bahagia Bersama PAUD, Sirah Pulau Padang District, OKI Regency. The results of this study used data collection techniques using observation, documentation and tests. The analysis technique uses normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. After conducting the initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest), the researcher then analyzed all the research results, from this study there is an influence of the big book hijaiyah media on the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters in early childhood, with t-count = 15.983 and t table = 2.101, because t-count> t-table (15.983 > 2.101). So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the big book hijaiyah media has an effect on the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters in children aged 4-5 years in the happy together

Abstract

Irregular migration becomes the most pressing humanitarian & political issue in the Eastern Mediterranean, Turkey-Greece 2022-2024, the increasing flow of migrants (driven by conflict, poverty, and limited legal migration channels) has subjected both countries to overlapping security, legal, and humanitarian pressures. The research examines the crisis through two theoretical lenses: Regional Security Complex Theory (RSCT) and the Human Security Framework. Based on recent data, legal cases, and institutional reports, the study highlights persistent abuses such as expulsions, limited asylum protection, and the abuse of geopolitical leverage, especially under the EU-Turkey Statement and Greece's “safe third country” designation. Despite some examples of cooperation, securitized responses continue to dominate, enabling smuggling networks and putting migrants at great risk. The paper concludes that tackling irregular migration requires moving beyond reactive policies towards sustainable solutions rooted in regional cooperation, legal integrity and the fulfillment of human security. Only through this integrated approach can the region move from managing symptoms to addressing the root causes of migration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Sandpaper Letters Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Awal Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di TK Az-Zahirah Kota Palembang”. Adapun yang menjadi permasalahan di dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan anak dalam membaca awal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh media sandpaper letters terhadap kemampuan membaca awal anak usia 5-6 tahun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental dengan desain One Group Pre Test - Post Test. Sampel di dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 13 anak, 7 anak laki-laki dan 6 anak perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis datanya adalah uji normalitas, uji homoge nitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil hipotesis adalah test awal (pretest) dan test akhir (posttest), selanjutnya peneliti menganalisis hasil penelitian. Hasil analisis data dalam pembuktian uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 2.17667 sedangkan untuk menentukan ttabel dengan taraf signifikansi 5% didapat ttabel = 1.78229. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan thitung > ttabel maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, yang berarti ada pengaruh media sandpaper letters terhadap kemampuan membaca awal anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Az-Zahirah Kota Palembang.

Abstract

This research is entitled The Application of Natural Material Center Learning to the Development of Creativity of 5-6 Year Old Children at Sekolah Alam Palembang. The problem in this study is the application of natural material center learning to the development of creativity of children aged 5-6 years at Sekolah Alam Palembang. This study aims to analyze the application of natural material center learning and its impact on the development of creativity of children aged 5-6 years at Sekolah Alam Palembang. The research used a case study approach with five subjects of group B children. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the natural materials center approach is able to optimize aspects of children's creativity such as imagination, interest in creative activities, and the ability to express themselves. In addition, this approach also contributes to children's social-emotional, cognitive, and motor development. The main obstacles found were limited teaching materials and time. This study suggests training teachers in the use of local materials and strengthening the program through seminars or webinars.
