Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a vital pillar of the Indonesian economy, contributing 61% to GDP and employing 97% of the workforce. Despite their importance, MSMEs face a high failure rate of 78–80%, with financial management problems accounting for 82% of failures. This study aims to analyze and prove the influence of risk management on the success of entrepreneurial efforts in MSMEs, while also measuring its contribution in explaining variations in business success. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, the research involved 100 purposively selected respondents who met criteria of operating for at least two years and employing at least one worker. Data analysis included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, t-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). Results confirmed that all instruments were valid and reliable, with data meeting normality and heteroscedasticity assumptions. Regression analysis produced the equation Y = 5.428 + 0.724X, showing that risk management positively influences business success. The t-test confirmed significance, while R² = 0.403 indicated that risk management explains 40.3% of success variation. The findings conclude that effective risk management significantly enhances MSME sustainability and entrepreneurial success.

Abstract

This study investigates the critical drivers of financial resilience and sustainable growth among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in emerging economies. The primary problems identified within the MSME sector are low financial literacy, poor bookkeeping standards, and an adaptive resistance to digital financial technologies (FinTech), which collectively trigger severe operational vulnerability. The objective of this research is to evaluate the direct impact of financial literacy and FinTech adoption on MSME financial resilience, alongside exploring the mediating role of structured financial risk management. Utilizing a quantitative approach, structural equation modeling via SmartPLS was applied to analyze data gathered from 150 registered MSME owners and managers. The empirical findings demonstrate a highly significant positive correlation: advanced financial literacy and robust FinTech integration drastically accelerate the establishment of institutional financial resilience. Furthermore, the synthesis reveals that financial risk management acts as a powerful mediating variable that mitigates cognitive dissonance and operational bottlenecks. In conclusion, combining financial literacy with digital infrastructure provides a scalable strategic framework that transitions MSMEs from structural vulnerability to digital-era resilience and long-term sustainability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of social media usage, adversity intelligence, and innovation on the success of Fashion MSMEs in Beringin District, Lubuk Pakam. In this study, the data collection technique used a random sampling method, the sample used was 62 respondents. All analyses in this study were assisted by the SPSS 25.0 program. Data analysis techniques were carried out through classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. Based on the t-test that has been carried out, the results obtained are that the Sig. value of the Social Media Utilization variable is obtained at 0.002<0.05 and the calculated t value (7.513)> t table (1.671). So it can be concluded that the Social Media Utilization variable has a positive and significant effect on the Success variable of MSMEs. Furthermore, the Sig. value of the Adversity Intelligence variable obtained is 0.000 <0.05 and the calculated t value (9.048)> t table (1.671). So it can be concluded that the Adversity Intelligence variable has a significant influence on the MSME Success variable. Furthermore, the Sig. value of the Innovation variable obtained is 0.000 <0.05, which significantly affects the MSME Success variable. From these data, the calculated t value is obtained at (1.167) > t table (1.671). The value of the multiple regression analysis is Y = 9.227+ 0.428 X1 + 0.484 X2 + 0.063 X3 + e. The F-count value is 65.958 with a significance of 0.000 while the F-table value is 2.752. The value of R Square (R2) namely the Value of Social Media Utilization (X1), Adversity Intelligence (X2) and Innovation (X3) is 87.9% while 12.1% is influenced by other variables not studied. Therefore, it can be stated that the Innovation variable has a positive and significant influence on the MSME Success variable.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of Brand Image, Relationship Marketing, and Customer Satisfaction on Decision to Enroll, with Trust serving as a mediating variable among students of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal research design. The population consisted of students of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, and 180 respondents were selected using a non-probability purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that Brand Image, Relationship Marketing, and Customer Satisfaction have positive and significant effects on both Trust and Decision to Enroll. Furthermore, Trust has a positive and significant effect on Decision to Enroll and is proven to mediate the relationships between Brand Image, Relationship Marketing, and Customer Satisfaction and Decision to Enroll. These results suggest that a strong institutional image, effective relationship marketing practices, and high customer satisfaction are essential factors in building students’ trust and encouraging their enrollment decisions. Therefore, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya should continuously strengthen its brand image, enhance relationship marketing strategies, and improve customer satisfaction through high-quality academic and non-academic services to foster greater trust and increase prospective students’ intention to enroll.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of client governance, vendor governance, and job security on Employee Work Performance through perceived organizational support among outsourced cleaning service workers at PT Mega Berlian Sutanpangulu. This study is grounded in the complexity of outsourcing employment relationships, which involve two governance actors: the client as the service user and the vendor as the formal employer. Such a context requires aligned coordination, supervision, and work support to enable employees to achieve optimal performance. This study employed a quantitative explanatory research design. Data were collected from 110 outsourced cleaning service workers through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that client governance, vendor governance, job security, and perceived organizational support have positive and significant effects on Employee Work Performance. In addition, client governance, vendor governance, and job security also have positive and significant effects on perceived organizational support. The R-square value for Employee Work Performance was 0.715, indicating strong explanatory power, while the R-square value for perceived organizational support was 0.557, indicating moderate explanatory power. The mediation test results show that perceived organizational support partially mediates the effects of client governance, vendor governance, and job security on Employee Work Performance. These findings confirm that perceived organizational support is an important psychological mechanism linking outsourcing governance and job security to improved performance among cleaning service workers.
