Abstract

Mathematics is used in various fields of social life, in the economic field it is used for buying and selling, in architecture it is used to calculate and measure so that estimates are accurate, in the field of art as a tool for calculating patterns, movements, sketches, etc. Direct experience is considered direct participation in activities that can give rise to initial reactions, visual impressions and emotional responses. Students are encouraged to acquire new real-world skills and competencies by gaining knowledge of common roles in a variety of situations, locations, and environments. This experiential learning model provides students with different learning situations in the form of participation in direct experiences designed by the teacher. This research is the initial stage of development research (R&D), therefore the research carried out is limited to needs analysis (need assessment). This research uses qualitative descriptive research conducted with a case study approach which is based on human understanding and behavior based on human opinion. This research aims to collect information regarding the needs of fifth grade elementary school students in spatial building materials. This research is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out by interviews and distributing questionnaires via Google Forms which were distributed to 30 class VI students as respondents. The results of the research show that class V students need innovation to implement a learning model that is more effective and can provide students with learning experiences, namely the experiential learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of the picture and picture learning model on students' interest in and ability to write poetry. The approach is experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. The approach used in this study is quantitative. A cluster random selection method was employed to choose the research sample. This study's data gathering technique makes use of tests, observations, and documentation. The present study employed the t-test paired samples hypothesis test and prerequisite tests (homogeneity and normality tests) in its data analysis approach. With a t-value of 9.775 < a t-value of 1.706 and a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, the findings indicated that students' interest in producing poetry grew by 20.77. Supporting this is the finding that using image cards for picture learning in grade IV of primary school influences pupils' motivation in creating poetry and validates Ha's findings. The student's skill score rose by 12.46, indicating that Ha was accepted and that using picture cards as a teaching method had an impact on pupils in grade IV primary school's ability to create poetry (t-value of 15.421 < t-value of 1.706 and p-value of 0.000 < 0.05). Thus, it can be said that grade IV students' attention and poetry writing skills are impacted by the image and Picture learning model using series image cards as a medium.

Abstract

Professional teachers participate in creating a fun and meaningful learning process that fosters a love of learning in students. Continuous professional development provides space for students to grow and develop in learning through achieving pedagogical competence. However, the problem found is that the quality of interaction that supports students in learning by constructing knowledge has not been created and the planning and implementation of sustainable professional development has not been based on teacher needs, so that teacher involvement in working groups is relatively small. Therefore, this research aims to analyse strategies for developing sustainable professional programs and contribution programs to the pedagogical competence of SDIT Al Kawaakib teachers. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this research were school principals and teachers. The research findings obtained are that continuous professional development contributes to teachers' pedagogical competence and strategies carried out through learning communities with collaborative and participatory work approaches related to learning practices to stimulate teachers' reflective abilities. The next recommendation that can be made is a sustainable professional development strategy that can contribute to pedagogical competence through teacher scientific work to determine the effectiveness of learning.

Abstract

The preservation of local cultural heritage is one of the essential things that need to be considered in developing the character of the younger generation. In Indonesia, regional cultures are very varied and rich in values that are aesthetic and provide education. Local culture includes traditions, arts, customs, languages, and handicraft products that reflect the identity of a region. However, with globalization and technological advances, attention to preserving local culture is declining, especially among the youth. One way to overcome this problem is to integrate local culture into the teaching and learning process at school. Every grade 3 elementary school student must master Javanese writing and language skills. Most students find the skill of writing Javanese script very difficult to master. Learning to write Javanese scripts in elementary school needs to be studied to determine the teacher's teaching method in class. This study aims to analyze the ability of students to recognize, write, and read Javanese script letters after applying multisensory methods and describe the process of applying multisensory methods in learning Javanese script in class IV elementary school. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection through observation, interviews, documentation, and research subjects, namely grade IV students and class teachers.  The teacher uses the multisensory method, which involves using various senses in the learning process. The study results are expected to help other researchers compile Javanese language research, add insight into knowledge for readers in the field of education, and can be applied practically in the classroom as a form of learning.
