Abstract

The rapid growth of the skincare industry in Indonesia has encouraged companies to implement effective marketing strategies, such as the use of brand ambassadors and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM). This study aims to analyze the influence of brand ambassadors and E-WOM on purchasing decisions, with purchase intention serving as an intervening variable among Scarlett users on the Shopee marketplace in Tembalang District. This study employed a quantitative approach using a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents who met the research criteria and were analyzed using multiple linear regression and the Sobel test to examine the mediating role of purchase intention. The results indicate that brand ambassadors and E-WOM have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. E-WOM and purchase intention also have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while brand ambassadors do not have a significant direct effect on purchasing decisions. The Sobel test results show that purchase intention successfully mediates the effect of brand ambassadors and E-WOM on purchasing decisions. Therefore, purchase intention plays an important role in bridging the influence of brand ambassadors and E-WOM on purchasing decisions for Scarlett products on Shopee.

Abstract

This research examines the effect of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover on Return on Asset, with Return on Equity as a moderating variable in pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013–2024. The study uses a quantitative approach and secondary data from annual financial statements. Five companies were selected through purposive sampling, producing 60 firm-year observations. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results show that Current Ratio has a negative and significant effect on Return on Asset (B = −0.186; p = 0.003), Debt to Equity Ratio has a negative and significant effect (B = −0.413; p < 0.001), while Total Asset Turnover has a positive and significant effect (B = 0.141; p < 0.001). The moderation tests indicate that Return on Equity tends to weaken the relationships of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Total Asset Turnover with Return on Asset, but the interaction effects are not statistically significant (p = 0.456; 0.679; and 0.799). These findings imply that profitability is more closely associated with efficient asset utilization and prudent liquidity and leverage management, while Return on Equity does not provide sufficient statistical evidence as a moderator in the observed relationships.

Abstract

The development of information technology and the internet has transformed consumer behavior, online shopping through e-commerce platforms such as Shopee. Wardah cosmetic products are products purchased through this platform. Amid competition, companies need to understand factors that strengthen consumer loyalty. This study aims to analyze the effects of social media promotion and product quality on consumer loyalty through consumer satisfaction as an intervening variable among Shopee users who purchase Wardah products in Wonosobo Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to consumers who had purchased Wardah products through Shopee. Data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, regression analysis, t-tests, coefficient of determination (R²), and Sobel test. Results showed social media promotion had no significant effect on consumer satisfaction (0.275 > 0.05), while product quality had a significant effect (0.017 < 0.05). Social media promotion, product quality, and consumer satisfaction positively and significantly affected consumer loyalty (0.000 < 0.05). Consumer satisfaction mediated effects of social media promotion and product quality on consumer loyalty, with Sobel test probabilities of 0.0038 and 0.0049, respectively. Therefore, product quality and consumer satisfaction are important for maintaining continued loyalty toward Wardah products in this market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of facilities and service quality on visiting decisions through destination image as a mediating variable at Saloka Theme Park, Semarang Regency. The research was motivated by the decline in visitor numbers amid increasingly intense competition among tourist destinations, highlighting the need to identify the factors that influence tourists' visiting decisions. The results indicate that both facilities and service quality have a positive and significant effect on destination image. Furthermore, facilities, service quality, and destination image also have a positive and significant influence on visiting decisions. The mediation analysis reveals that destination image significantly mediates the effects of facilities and service quality on visiting decisions. These findings suggest that improving facilities and service quality not only directly encourages tourists' decisions to visit but also strengthens the destination image, which in turn enhances visiting decisions. Therefore, the management of Saloka Theme Park is expected to continuously improve its facilities, service quality, and destination image as strategic efforts to increase its attractiveness and encourage more tourists to visit.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality and location on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable at Mie Gacoan Pamularsih, West Semarang. The culinary industry fast-food segment faces intense competition, requiring businesses to build customer retention. A quantitative explanatory design was applied using a sample of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling criteria of customers aged at least 17 years with a minimum of three visits. Data were collected via structured Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, path analysis, and the Sobel test. The regression analysis for Equation I shows that Service Quality (t = 4.281, p < 0.05) and Location (t = 3.915, p < 0.05) have a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction with R-squared equal to 0.542. Equation II reveals that Service Quality (t = 3.112, p < 0.05), Location (t = 2.845, p < 0.05), and Customer Satisfaction (t = 4.678, p < 0.05) significantly affect Customer Loyalty with a total coefficient of determination of 0.729. Furthermore, the Sobel test proves that Customer Satisfaction significantly mediates the influence of Service Quality (Z = 3.142, p < 0.05) and Location (Z = 2.968, p < 0.05) on Customer Loyalty. The practical implication suggests optimizing service efficiency and spatial accessibility to sustain customer retention.

Abstract

The high open unemployment rate among Vocational High School (SMK) graduates indicates that many graduates remain inadequately prepared to compete in the labor market or pursue self-employment by creating their own business opportunities. Strengthening students’ entrepreneurial intention is therefore essential, particularly through the development of entrepreneurial knowledge and positive attitudes toward entrepreneurship. This study aims to examine the effects of entrepreneurial knowledge and attitude toward entrepreneurship on the entrepreneurial intention of students at SMK Negeri 9 Wajo. A quantitative approach with an associative research design was employed. The study population comprised 255 students, from which 73 respondents were selected using the Taro Yamane formula and a stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques with the assistance of SPSS. The findings reveal that entrepreneurial knowledge has a positive and significant effect on students’ entrepreneurial intention. Similarly, attitude toward entrepreneurship has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, entrepreneurial knowledge and attitude toward entrepreneurship simultaneously exert a significant effect on the entrepreneurial intention of students at SMK Negeri 9 Wajo. These findings suggest that strengthening entrepreneurial knowledge and fostering positive attitudes toward entrepreneurship are important strategies for enhancing entrepreneurial intention among vocational high school students.

Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate and verify the magnitude of the exogenous impacts of digital marketing, direct marketing, and store atmosphere on consumer purchasing decision dynamics at Pobi Store Bireuen. A quantitative research design was implemented using multiple linear regression analysis (via SPSS) on a sample of 96 respondents. Partial test results demonstrate that digital marketing makes a positive and significant contribution to purchasing decisions (t-calculated = 4.992 > t-table = 1.662; p = 0.000). Similarly, direct marketing was confirmed to exert a positive and significant influence (t-calculated = 5.274 > t-table = 1.662; p = 0.000), followed by the store atmosphere variable, which also positively and significantly drove an increase in purchasing decisions (t-calculated = 4.191 > t-table = 1.662; p = 0.000). In the simultaneous analysis, statistical estimates confirmed that the three predictor constructs collectively exerted a significant influence on the criterion variable (F-calculated = 22.343; p = 0.000). The correlation coefficient (R = 0.649) reflects a strong linear relationship, while the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.421) indicates an explanatory power of 42.1% regarding the variability of purchasing decisions; the remaining 57.9% of the variance is attributed to exogenous factors outside the scope of this statistical model.

Abstract

This study primarily aims to examine the extent to which organizational culture, working environment conditions, and motivation drive the loyalty commitment of educators at SMA Negeri 1 Samalanga. Employing an empirical quantitative approach, the study analyzes responses from 61 subjects, which were then quantified using multiple linear regression modeling via SPSS. Individual hypothesis testing reveals that organizational culture significantly and positively influences teacher loyalty (t-calculated = 6.345 > t-table = 1.672; p = 0.000 < 0.05). A conducive working environment also demonstrates a substantial positive impact on teacher commitment (t-calculated = 3.093 > t-table = 1.672; p = 0.003 < 0.05), followed by the motivation variable, which is proven to significantly accelerate loyalty (t-calculated = 5.221 > t-table = 1.672; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Comprehensively and simultaneously, the combined effect of these three predictors is verified to significantly determine teacher loyalty, as evidenced by an F-calculated value of 28.841 (exceeding the F-table value of 2.77) at a probability level of 0.000 < 0.05. The strength of the association between these constructs is classified as very high, as reflected by the correlation coefficient (R = 0.776). Furthermore, the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.603) confirms that 60.3% of the variation in teacher loyalty is driven by the synergy of organizational culture, the work environment, and motivation, while the remaining 39.7% stems from external variables not included in this analytical framework.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of event planning and the utilization of the INSIST System on participant service efficiency at Infinity Mice Management. The study's novelty lies in examining the simultaneous roles of event planning and the use of a web-based information system in supporting participant service efficiency within an event management company. This quantitative study employed a survey method, collecting data via questionnaires from 90 respondents selected through non-probability sampling using the saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS and included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that event planning has a positive and significant effect on participant service efficiency (t = 3.157 > 1.987; p = 0.002 < 0.05). Similarly, the utilization of the INSIST System has a positive and significant effect (t = 5.164 > 1.987; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Collectively, both variables significantly influence participant service efficiency (F = 115.005 > 3.10; p = 0.000 < 0.05). An R² value of 0.726 indicates that 72.6% of the variation is explained by these two variables, while 27.4% is explained by other factors. These findings imply that strengthening event planning and optimizing the use of the INSIST System can enhance participant service efficiency.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media, particularly TikTok, has reshaped how consumers search for information and make purchasing decisions for beauty products. Brand Image and Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) are widely regarded as important factors shaping consumer behavior in this digital environment, yet previous studies have reported inconsistent findings and have paid limited attention to TikTok as a marketing channel. This study aimed to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of Brand Image and E-WOM on the purchasing decision of Glad2Glow cushion products through TikTok among consumers in South Jakarta. A quantitative associative design was applied, and primary data were collected through an online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. Ninety-six respondents were selected through purposive sampling, with the sample size determined by the Lemeshow formula. The data were analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 26 through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that Brand Image had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t = 2.362; p = 0.020), and E-WOM also had a positive and significant effect (t = 3.239; p = 0.002). Both variables simultaneously influenced purchasing decisions significantly (F = 24.335; p<0.001) and explained 34.4% of its variance, while the remaining 65.6% was explained by other factors outside the model. E-WOM contributed more strongly than Brand Image. These findings imply that Glad2Glow should strengthen its brand identity while encouraging credible user reviews, testimonials, and creative content on TikTok to drive purchases.
