Abstract

Films serve not only as entertainment but also as a medium for conveying social, political, and cultural messages. Through narrative, visual, and semiotic techniques, films have the power to evoke emotional and intellectual responses, encouraging deep reflection on social realities. The film Agak Laen was chosen for this study due to its portrayal of the dynamics of friendship. The purpose of this research is to analyze how friendship is represented in the film using Charles Sander Peirce's semiotic theory, which includes three core elements: sign, object, and interpretant. This research employs qualitative methods with a semiotic analysis approach. The results reveal that the film Agak Laen conveys messages about the meaning of friendship, as reflected through four components found in each scene: affection in friendship (friendship’s affective), social elements (sociability elements), shared and communal experiences, and the quality of the friendship.

Abstract

The move of the Energy Solutions division to Constructions and the change in leadership in January 2024 emphasize the importance of the new leadership's interpersonal communication. This research explores effective leadership communication strategies to improve employee performance throughout the company. To understand interpersonal communication strategies between leaders and subordinates at PT. Adyawinsa Telecommunication & Electrical, this research uses the case study method. A qualitative approach allows collecting data from various sources, including observations, interviews, and documents. The case study approach also allows for the collection of data from various other sources. At PT. Adyawinsa Telecommunications & Electrical, construction division, interpersonal communication between leaders and subordinates is very important. Openness, positive attitudes, empathy, support and equality are the basis of communication strategies. This approach encourages collaboration, motivation and innovation, improves employee performance and team synergy, and strengthens the company's strategic achievements. Research in the Constructions Division of PT. Adyawinsa Telecommunications & Electrical shows that interpersonal communication between leaders and subordinates increases employee productivity, performance, motivation and engagement.

Abstract

Communication is one of the important aspects of customer service; a company can be said to be a good company if it can provide quality customer service. One of the ways companies convey information to visitors is by making press releases. Malang Creative Center has problems in making press releases in two languages. As a result, Malang Creative Center does not have English-language information media aimed at foreign visitors. This research aims to develop a bilingual press release for Malang Creative Center. The press release contains information about what events are held and the latest information from Malang Creative Center. The design of this research is Design and Development Research (DDR). DDR ensures that press releases are systematically designed and developed based on empirical evidence and research findings. The method in this stage consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. At this stage, the researcher used several instruments, such as interviews and observations, to identify the problem. The researcher began to design the press release by organizing it step by step based on the information obtained. The next stage is the development stage, where researchers apply all concepts from the design stage and develop them into a press release. The next stage is the implementation stage, where the product is tested to expert validators. Then, the product is validated by expert validators, after which it is tested to the public in the evaluation stage. The results of this study are nineteen bilingual press releases published on the Malang Creative Center website that can provide information that visitors easily understand. Based on the questionnaire results, most respondents (47.5%) strongly agreed, and (52.5%) agreed that the information presented in the press releases was clear and easy to understand.

Abstract

Low academic resilience is one of the factors influenced by parental social support. The aim of this study is to describe: (1) students' resilience in learning, (2) parental social support for students in learning, and (3) the relationship between parental social support and students' resilience in learning. This research was conducted using a quantitative method with a correlational research design. The results of the study showed that: (1) parental social support at SMA Negeri 13 Padang was generally in the high category, with 82 students (35.34%), (2) academic resilience at SMA Negeri 13 Padang was generally in the moderate category, with 125 students (53.9%), and (3) there was a significant positive relationship between parental social support and students' academic resilience at SMA Negeri 13 Padang, with a correlation coefficient of 0.376 and a significance level of 0.000. Based on these findings, guidance and counseling services that can be provided to enhance parental social support and academic resilience among students include informational services, group counseling services, and group guidance services.

Abstract

This study is entitled "Child Grooming in the Drama Koi No Tsuki". This study aims to determine the factors causing child grooming in the drama Koi No Tsuki which are analyzed using the hierarchy of needs theory by Abraham Maslow, and to determine the impact of child grooming victims in the drama Koi No Tsuki which is analyzed through the psychological impact approach on children or adolescents who are victims of sexual abuse. This study focuses on the analysis of the actions and behavior of the perpetrators and victims of child grooming in the context of the drama narrative. Qualitative descriptive methods are used in this study to provide an in-depth and detailed description of child grooming and to understand the characteristics, context, and implications of child grooming in the drama Koi No Tsuki. The data source used in this study is a Japanese drama entitled Koi No Tsuki which has 12 episodes with a duration of 24 minutes per episode. The results of the analysis show that Wako Taira's basic needs for sex, job stability and stability of romantic relationships with her boyfriend, love, recognition from herself and from others are not met, so that Wako Taira seeks alternatives by exploiting vulnerable minors who can be dominated as compensation for the conditions she experiences. As a result of the child grooming, emotionally, Yumeaki Iko experiences shock, fear, depression, tantrums, and is easily angered. Cognitively, Yumeaki Iko experiences an identity crisis by choosing to work rather than go to school. In terms of behavior, Yumeaki Iko withdraws from her friends and isolates herself while at school, and behaves naughty by forcing Wako Taira to have sex.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah terhadap Literasi Sains Siswa pada Materi Ekologi dan Keanekaragaman Hayati di Kelas VII. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas yang berjumlah 60 siswa yaitu kelas eksperimen berjumlah 30 siswa dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan berupa tes bentuk pilihan ganda. Sebelum perlakuan terlebih dahulu dilakukan pretest kepada kedua sampel, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis pada kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas kontrol, kemudian dilakukan posttest pada kedua sampel. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan uji t satu pihak untuk instrument tes. Rata-rata kemampuan literasi sains siswa di kelas eksperimen selama pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen 50,3 dan rata-rata postes kelas kontrol 48,1. Setelah dilakukan pengujian hipotesis terhadap data posttest kedua kelompok diperoleh nilai dan = 1,697. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, Ha diterima yaitu atau 1,697 , maka literasi sains siswa dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih tinggi dari literasi sains siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional .

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Digital-Based Learning and Self-Regulated Learning on Learning Outcomes. The research method used is a survey, with a sample of 30 respondents who are students of the Economics and Administration Study Program at the State University of Jakarta. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS. This study shows that the relationship between Digital-Based Learning and Self-Regulated Learning on Learning Outcomes is not significant. Although theories such as Bandura (1997) and Pintrich & Zusho (2007) emphasize the importance of self-regulation in learning, the results indicate that other factors may play a larger role in determining learning outcomes. The low R² test (9.2%) and the insignificant F test (p > 0.05) indicate that there are many external factors, such as intrinsic motivation or social support, that potentially have a greater impact on learning outcomes. This research underscores the need for a comprehensive learning approach that integrates technology, interpersonal support, and the development of metacognitive skills to effectively improve students' academic outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh aktivitas volunteer dan pengelolaan waktu terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Aktivitas volunteer dianggap mampu mengembangkan keterampilan praktis dan soft skills mahasiswa, sementara pengelolaan waktu yang baik diharapkan membantu mahasiswa menyeimbangkan antara tuntutan akademik dan non-akademik, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi terhadap hasil belajar. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa dan dianalisis menggunakan berbagai uji statistik, termasuk Uji Instrumen, Uji Asumsi Klasik, Uji Hipotesis, dan Uji Koefisien Determinasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa baik aktivitas volunteer maupun pengelolaan waktu memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Uji-t menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan dari masing-masing variabel, sementara uji F dan koefisien determinasi (R² sebesar 0,707) menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel secara bersama-sama berkontribusi sebesar 70,7% terhadap variasi hasil belajar. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keterlibatan dalam aktivitas volunteer dan pengelolaan waktu yang efektif sangat penting dalam menunjang pencapaian akademik mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, universitas diharapkan dapat mempertimbangkan program-program pengembangan yang menyeimbangkan kegiatan akademik dan non-akademik guna mengoptimalkan potensi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Google Drive sebagai media penyimpanan dalam proses pembelajaran mahasiswa. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian yang sesuai, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran mendalam tentang manfaat dan tantangan Google Drive sebagai media penyimpanan dalam konteks pembelajaran, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatannya di lingkungan Pendidikan Dalam penelitian ini, populasinya adalah seluruh mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Program Studi Ekonomi dan Administrasi angkatan 2022 di Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang menggunakan Google Drive dalam proses pembelajaran mereka. Berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan, jumlah keseluruhan populasi adalah 30 mahasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini, seluruh populasi, yaitu 30 mahasiswa, dijadikan sampel penelitian untuk meminimalkan kesalahan dan menghasilkan data yang akurat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan bahwa penggunaan Google Drive secara signifikan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap proses pembelajaran mahasiswa, terutama dalam aspek aksesibilitas, fleksibilitas, kolaborasi, dan manajemen materi pembelajaran. Sebagai layanan penyimpanan berbasis cloud, Google Drive memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk menyimpan, mengakses, dan berbagi materi pembelajaran dengan lebih mudah dan efisien. Dengan adanya aksesibilitas yang tinggi, mahasiswa dapat mengakses materi kapan saja dan dari mana saja, sehingga mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih mandiri dan tidak terbatas pada lingkungan kelas fisik.

Abstract

In this research, the author discusses how an organization's communication effectively manages relationships with stakeholders to achieve long-term success. In this research, the author will dig deeper into how widely UPNTV is known to audiences outside the communication science study program, how UPNTV's strategy is to maintain a positive image in the eyes of stakeholders, and what strategic steps are taken to continue to improve branding, and how UPNTV's vertical or horizontal communication with external parties helps improve the existence and quality of the programs produced. This research uses a qualitative method with a communication ethnography study as its research design. The data collection techniques that will be used in this research are participant observation and in-depth interviews. Overall, UPNTV has succeeded in building a good existence and reputation outside the Communication Studies Program. This is proven by the many requests for cooperation from external parties both in the form of streaming services and program cooperation.
