The study was conducted using a qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method in two cycles on 34 class X TKR 4 students of SMK Negeri 2 Probolinggo. Data were collected through legal awareness knowledge tests, observations, student worksheets, and field notes. The results of the study showed an increase in students' legal awareness knowledge through the project citizen learning model through an increase in posttest results with an average class score reaching 78 and learning completeness of 84.38%, an increase in learning implementation from 76.47% to 94.12%, and high student participation in group discussions during the project implementation. This study concludes that the application of the project citizen learning model in Pancasila Education subjects is effective in improving the quality of learning, changing passive students into active ones, and achieving the expected learning objectives.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an empowerment model for Paket C learners oriented toward independence and entrepreneurial skills. Problems in equivalency education indicated that learning processes remained instructional and had not fully supported learners’ independence and potential development. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach focusing on conceptual model development and expert validation. The research stages included needs analysis, theoretical review, model design, development of syntax and indicators, and validation by community education experts and PKBM practitioners. The results produced the ICRIP Empowerment Model (Innovative, Creative, Responsive, Independent, Potential Development), which consisted of philosophical, theoretical, and conceptual foundations, operational principles, empowerment syntax, working mechanisms, and measurable empowerment indicators. The model was conceptually feasible and demonstrated strong potential to be applied as a sustainable empowerment approach in Paket C equivalency education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the role playing method in developing the social-emotional skills of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Muslimat NU 76 Baddurih Pademawu Pamekasan. The background of this study is based on the social-emotional problems found in children, such as difficulty cooperating, limited adaptability, emotional instability, and low self-confidence in interacting with peers and their environment. The role playing method was chosen because it is a learning strategy that is appropriate to early childhood characteristics, where children learn through play and direct experience. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data sources were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, school principals, and students. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested through source, technique, and time triangulation. The results showed that the implementation of the role playing method helped improve children’s social-emotional skills, including cooperation, communication, empathy, emotional control, and self-confidence. Children became more active, were able to follow rules, understand social roles, and interact positively with peers. Therefore, the role playing method is proven to be an effective, enjoyable, and meaningful learning strategy for developing early childhood social-emotional skills.

Abstract

The high dropout rate remains a serious challenge in educational development due to the complexity of social, economic, psychological, and educational governance factors influencing it. This study aims to analyze the factors causing school dropouts from the perspective of educational management and to evaluate the effectiveness of school governance in preventing dropout cases. The study employed a qualitative approach with an interpretive paradigm and a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation, and school archive studies, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through data reduction, data display, thematic coding, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that family economic conditions, low learning motivation, weak family support, psychological pressure, social environment, and limited access to education are the dominant factors contributing to school dropouts. From the educational management perspective, student monitoring, counseling services, and early dropout detection systems have not been implemented optimally or sustainably. The study concludes that strengthening student retention-based educational governance, preventive counseling services, and collaboration among schools, families, and communities are essential strategies for sustainably reducing dropout rates.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of parental support and career orientation on the decision-making process regarding further education among students at SMK Negeri 1 Tambusai. This is an associative quantitative study. The study population consists of all 308 twelfth-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Tambusai. The sampling technique used was random sampling, meaning the entire population was included in the study sample. Questionnaires were used as instruments to measure parental support, career orientation, and decisions regarding further education. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression. The results indicate a significant influence of parental support and career orientation on the decisions regarding further education among students at SMK Negeri 1 Tambusai, with a linearity test significance value (sig) of 0.000 (< 0.05). The calculated F-value of 19,531.925 indicates that both independent variables simultaneously influence the dependent variable, and the significance level (sig) of 0.000 is less than 0.05; thus, the hypothesis stating the existence of a simultaneous influence between the variables is supported. This means that the higher the level of parental support and the better the students’ career orientation, the more mature and appropriate their decisions regarding further education will be.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether John Holland's career theory is effective and how John Holland's career theory is applied to students' career choices. The research method used is descriptive quantitative involving 76 students of class XII E and XII G at SMA Negeri 6 Madiun as research samples, using purposive random sampling technique with consideration based on suggestions from BK (Guidance and Counseling) teachers to be more focused in providing follow-up. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations. The data collection method was carried out by administering Riasec tests and career choice questionnaires. The questionnaire instrument (career choice scale) used the Likert model. The analysis technique used statistical analysis with the t-test formula, to test the hypothesis whether John Holland's theory is effective in students' career choices. The results of the study showed a difference in the t-test calculation before and after being given John Holland's career test theory with a t-value of 6.408. The probability value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be stated that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that the application of John Holland's career theory is effective in students' career choices.

Abstract

This study aims to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 85 Palembang on the topic of synonyms and antonyms by implementing unplaged media for 21st-century learning and applying the information for investigation method. The study employed a classroom action research (car) design carried out in several cycles, including planning, implementing the action, observing, and reflecting. The participants were 28 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, observations of students' and teachers' activities, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively for test scores and qualitatively for learning activities. The findings indicate that the use of unplaged media combined with the information for investigation method effectively enhances students' learning outcomes. Mastery learning increases from cycle to cycle, reflected in the rise of the average scores and the proportion of students who meet the minimum mastery criterion (KKTP). In addition, students' learning activities also improved, including greater participation in discussions, improved ability to gather information from learning materials, and increased confidence in presenting investigation results. Therefore, the study concludes that applying un plaged media in 21st-century learning with the information for investigation method is effective for improving Indonesian language learning outcomes on synonyms and antonyms for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 85 Palembang

Abstract

This study examined institutional leadership in improving teacher performance in remote senior high schools. The problem addressed was the persistent gap between leadership policy and teachers' daily professional practice in schools with limited access, infrastructure, and supervisory support. A qualitative multi-site case study was conducted at SMAN 1 Singkup and SMAN 1 Marau through interviews, observation, and document analysis involving principals, vice principals, teachers, and school staff. The findings showed that institutional leadership improved teacher performance when the principal translated school vision into measurable routines, strengthened collegial supervision, protected instructional time, and mobilized local resources. The two schools demonstrated different emphases: SMAN 1 Singkup was stronger in discipline, attendance control, and structured lesson administration, whereas SMAN 1 Marau showed stronger collaborative problem solving and community-based support. The study concluded that teacher performance in remote schools was not determined only by individual competence, but by the quality of institutional arrangements that connected vision, supervision, professional learning, and contextual resource management.
