Abstract

This study aims to develop an ADDIE-based mathematics instructional design using a Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) approach to control extraneous cognitive load and facilitate students’ generative processing. This study employs the R&D method, utilizing the ADDIE model (consists: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stage). The research subjects consisted of four validators, one teacher, and 70 students selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments included a validation sheet, an SRL questionnaire, a cognitive load scale, and a test based on generative processing indicators. Data were analyzed descriptively to evaluate validity, practicality, and effectiveness, and inferentially using PLS-SEM to examine relationships among variables. The results indicate that the developed design possesses very high validity with an average score of 85.5, high practicality at 84.25%, and effectiveness as evidenced by an N-Gain score of 0.47 (moderate category). Additionally, students’ extraneous cognitive load was found to be at a low level. The SEM results reveal that Self-Regulated Learning has a positive effect on generative processing and a negative effect on extraneous cognitive load, while extraneous cognitive load acts as a significant mediating variable. Therefore, the ADDIE-based instructional design integrated with SRL is proven to be feasible and effective in improving the quality of mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of interactive media in social studies learning to support the development of the Pancasila Student Profile in elementary schools. Previous studies have highlighted the lack of student engagement in traditional social studies learning, yet few have explored the integration of interactive media specifically targeted at the Pancasila Student Profile dimensions. To fill this gap, this research utilized a qualitative descriptive approach conducted at an elementary school involving 25 fourth-grade students. Data were collected systematically through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and learning documentation. The results showed that the use of interactive media—such as animated learning videos, digital quizzes, and interactive educational applications—significantly improved students' engagement and conceptual understanding. Active student participation increased from 36% to 72%, and learning mastery improved from 40% to 68%. Furthermore, the implementation strongly supported key dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, specifically critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and global diversity awareness. The study concludes that integrating interactive media in social studies learning effectively enhances learning quality, transforms passive learning environments into active ones, and successfully supports holistic curriculum goals in elementary education.

Abstract

This study analyzes the transformation of vocational education financing governance through performance-based and BLUD-based hybrid financing in Lampung Province. Using a descriptive qualitative design with a multisite case study approach, this study examined three vocational institutions with different governance characteristics: non-BLUD, developing BLUD, and large-scale BLUD schools. Data were collected through policy documents, school financial planning documents, institutional profiles, and relevant secondary data, and were analyzed using an interactive qualitative analysis model. The findings show that conventional financing remains highly dependent on government allocations and community contributions, creating fiscal vulnerability after the abolition of school committee fees. BLUD status strengthens financial autonomy by enabling schools to retain and reinvest revenue generated through Teaching Factory activities, industry partnerships, and production-based learning units. However, the effectiveness of this model depends on entrepreneurial leadership, performance-based budgeting, industrial collaboration, and digital accountability through ARKAS and SIPLah. This study implies that regional governments should accelerate BLUD readiness, strengthen vocational school financial management capacity, and develop hybrid financing policies that maintain a balance between institutional revenue generation, educational equity, and graduate quality improvement.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group counseling using a behavioral approach with a behavior contract technique in reducing gadget addiction and improving academic self-regulation among vocational high school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group design. Participants were 40 students selected through purposive sampling and divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using a gadget addiction scale and an academic self- regulation scale. The results indicated that descriptively, the experimental group showed greater improvement compared to the control group. However, the independent sample t- test revealed that the difference was not statistically significant at the 0.05 level. Despite this, the positive trend suggests that group counseling with behavior contract techniques has potential as an intervention strategy in school counseling services to address gadget addiction and enhance students’ academic self-regulation.

Abstract

Education is an essential factor that can determine a country's progress; on the other hand, an effective curriculum is necessary to produce a high-quality generation. Curriculum transformation is one of the strategic efforts in responding to the dynamics of education in the Merdeka Belajar era, including in basic and secondary education settings. The transformation of the Merdeka Curriculum in madrasas at the primary and secondary levels represents a strategic response to the dynamics of education in the Merdeka Belajar era, as regulated in Ministry of Education Regulation No. 1 of 2026. This study aims to examine how the Merdeka Curriculum transformation is implemented in madrasas and its implications for the quality of learning. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach by reviewing various relevant scientific sources. The findings show that the transformation of the madrasa curriculum is characterized by flexibility in the learning process and the strengthening of student-centered learning. The implications of this transformation are reflected in the improvement of learning quality, as seen in students' active participation and teachers' creativity in designing more contextual learning models. However, the main challenges include human resource readiness and infrastructure availability. These implications recommend continuous teacher training and principal evaluation to optimize the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study developed and evaluated a Digital Multimodality-Based Website (DMW) for teaching English language skills at the secondary school level. Grounded in social semiotic multimodality and the multiliteracies perspective, the study employed a Research and Development design using the ADDIE model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected from five certified English teachers, two expert validators, and 45 students of a state secondary school (SMA Negeri) through needs analysis questionnaires, expert validation forms, and user satisfaction surveys. The needs analysis showed strong teacher demand for an integrated, accessible, and culturally contextualized digital platform that combines reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Validation by ICT and English Language Teaching (ELT) experts showed that the DMW achieved high feasibility scores of 87.5% and 92.5%, indicating strong technical usability and pedagogical appropriateness. The product trial further showed positive student responses across usefulness (3.30), ease of use (3.35), ease of learning (3.35), and satisfaction (3.36). These findings indicate that the DMW was relevant to classroom needs, feasible to implement, and well-received by users. The study contributes a context-sensitive model for multimodal English learning that integrates digital literacy, local cultural content, and four-skill language instruction within a single platform.
