<![CDATA[Globalization brings significant changes in various aspects of life, including education. In schools, Islamic Religious Education faces substantial challenges in the face of current globalization, which often affects local cultural values and identity. This journal aims to analyze how Islamic Religious Education can adapt and respond to the challenges of globalization in schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods and in-depth interviews with educators and educational practitioners. The results of the analysis show that P.A.I. in schools needs to integrate global values while maintaining the basic principles of Islamic teachings. The proposed strategy includes adjusting the curriculum to include international issues with an Islamic perspective, training educators to face global challenges, and developing relevant learning media. It is hoped that these findings can guide the development of educational policies and practices that are more responsive to the challenges of globalization while still maintaining the integrity of Islamic values.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to identify and describe the main dimensions of collaborative leadership that are relevant in the context of Islamic education. The background of this study is rooted in the assumption that a leader must be able to be an effective leader, with the same goal of providing guidance, setting an example, and directing members to improve while helping to solve organizational problems. In this study, the method used is qualitative research through literature study, which examines and synthesizes findings from research and theories that exist in previous scientific works. The findings indicate that collaborative leadership is a viable option for developing an Islamic education culture. With the increasing diversity of Islamic education in Indonesia, the leadership style applied must be integrated with Islamic values. As a creature of Allah SWT who maximizes the ability to allocate efforts in educational institutions, instilling Islamic character is very important and can be achieved through the implementation of daily behavior, which will ultimately shape the organizational culture. This study contributes to the understanding that the application of collaborative leadership in Islamic education has great potential to improve the quality of education and create a more inclusive and meaningful learning environment, with Islamic values such as ta'awun (mutual assistance), shura (deliberation), and ukhuwah (brotherhood) that support the principles of collaborative leadership.]]>

<![CDATA[This research focuses on the role of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in improving students' mental well-being and academic performance. The main objective of this study is to understand how the implementation of Social-Emotional Learning programs can affect students' emotional states and educational outcomes. Evaluate the extent to which the Social-Emotional Learning program can help students manage stress, anxiety, and depression, and improve academic performance. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and in-depth interviews with the head of madrasah, teachers, curriculum deputy head, student guardians, and students. Data analysis was done thematically to identify the main themes related to the effects of the Social-Emotional Learning program. The results showed that the Social-Emotional Learning program significantly improved students' mental well-being, which had a positive impact on motivation, learning focus, and academic achievement. In addition, students involved in Social-Emotional Learning programs can better recognize and manage emotions, which can reduce stress and anxiety levels. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating Social-Emotional Learning programs into the education curriculum to create a more inclusive learning environment that supports student development and achieves holistic and comprehensive education outcomes.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to evaluate the role of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in shaping students' morals and ethics in Junior High Schools (SMP). The background of this study focuses on the importance of integrating religious values in education for the development of students' character amidst the challenges of globalization and social change. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and curriculum document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the PAI curriculum significantly contributes to the formation of students' morals and ethics, with the integration of moral values in each PAI subject strengthening positive behavior and building students' character. The main contribution of this finding is to provide a basis for the development of a more effective PAI curriculum in facilitating the development of students' character and offering guidance for policy makers and educators in improving the quality of religious education in schools.]]>

<![CDATA[This study explores the leadership patterns of kiai in the effort to modernize pesantren management, with the aim of understanding how kiai leadership can combine traditional values with the demands of modern management. The main focus of this study is to identify the dual role of kiai as spiritual and managerial leaders, and their impact on the operational effectiveness of pesantren. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations in several pesantren that have implemented modern management principles. The results of the study indicate that kiai leadership that successfully combines traditional and modern aspects results in more efficient pesantren management without sacrificing the religious values that are the foundation of the institution. In addition, this leadership pattern also strengthens the identity of the pesantren amidst the flow of globalization, maintaining the relevance of the institution while maintaining its uniqueness. These findings indicate that modernizing pesantren management through kiai leadership not only increases operational efficiency but also strengthens the competitiveness and resilience of pesantren in the long term. This study makes an important contribution to understanding how pesantren can adapt to the times without losing their traditional essence, as well as opening up opportunities for further research on the application of modern management in religious-based educational institutions.]]>

<![CDATA[This research focuses on the role of Al-Qur’an literacy in deepening students’ understanding of Islamic Religious Education and developing their moral and ethical character. This research explores how Al-Qur’an literacy functions as a reading skill and a tool for developing critical, reflective thinking and a holistic understanding of Islamic teachings. This research uses qualitative methods, including interviews, observation, and documentation techniques, to explore Al-Qur’an literacy experiences, perceptions, and practices at Middle School. The research results show that Al-Qur’an literacy significantly impacts understanding Islamic Religious Education material and developing students’ character. However, this research also identified challenges in implementation, such as a need for more time allocation in the curriculum and variations in reading skill levels among students. The implications of this research emphasize the need for adaptive learning strategies and additional support to increase the effectiveness of Al-Qur’an literacy in religious education.]]>

<![CDATA[This research focuses on improving critical thinking skills through integrating independent learning in the context of continuing education in madrasah. This research explores the effectiveness of a self-directed learning approach in supporting the development of students critical thinking skills and understanding its impact on sustainable educational practices. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews with teachers and students, observation of the learning process, and analysis of curriculum documents. Research findings show that integrating independent learning significantly improves students’ critical thinking abilities, developing the ability to plan, evaluate, and reflect on their learning independently. Students who engage in independent learning improve analytical skills and creativity in dealing with problems and are better prepared to apply continuing education principles in everyday contexts. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of implementing independent learning in the madrasah curriculum to develop the critical thinking skills needed in continuing education and the challenges that need to be considered in adapting this method to the needs and learning styles of diverse students.]]>

<![CDATA[This study focuses on the role of school leadership in enhancing the performance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The primary objective of this research is to examine how effective leadership practices by the school principal can influence the professional development and teaching quality of PAI teachers. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of the dynamics within the school environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that consistent and supportive leadership significantly contributes to the improvement of teacher performance, particularly through professional development, classroom observation, and performance evaluation. The study underscores the importance of structured leadership strategies in fostering an educational environment conducive to both teacher growth and student success. The implications suggest that school leaders should adopt more systematic and frequent evaluation practices to sustain and enhance teacher performance.]]>
