Abstract

The purpose of this research is how to get students used to performing congregational dhuha prayers at MAS Plus Al-Hidayah. Can congregational dhuha prayer improve the religious character of students at MAS Plus Al Hidayah? What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of congregational dhuha prayers at MAS Plus Al Hidayah. This research method is a qualitative method using informants through interviews. The results of this study show how to get students used to performing congregational dhuha prayers at MAS Plus Al Hidayah by making congregational dhuha prayers a rule that students must obey every morning. Congregational dhuha prayer can improve the religious character of students at MAS Plus Al Hidayah. The increase in religious character can be seen from the increase in learning discipline and increased compliance with school regulations as well as the increase in learning activities and the improvement of students' morals. The supporting factor for the implementation of congregational dhuha prayers at MAS Plus Al Hidayah is the good cooperation in its implementation between the principal and teachers and the availability of congregational dhuha prayer facilities. Pay attention to the inhibiting factors, namely there are still students who arrive late and there are still those who do not bring prayer equipment

Abstract

Immersion education is a form of content-based instruction where English serves as the primary medium for teaching academic subjects rather than being taught in isolation. These programs are strategically designed to facilitate subject-matter mastery in a target language while ensuring the students' native language development remains unaffected. This study aims to synthesize existing literature regarding the implementation of immersion education within bilingual classrooms in Thailand. Adopting a qualitative library research design, the study investigates the operational procedures and the pedagogical obstacles encountered by educators in Thailand's bilingual settings. The findings highlight the current state of immersion practices and the specific difficulties faced by teachers in the field. The study concludes that while immersion education is an effective model for enhancing English proficiency among high-level students in Thailand, its primary implementation hurdle remains the teachers' limited English language competency

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the Circuit Learning Learning Model affects the learning outcomes of students of SDN 057227 Kebun Kelapa towards the grades of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 15 Sungai Liat. This type of research is a pre-experiment that only uses one class as an experimental class without a comparison class (control class) used in this type of research to determine the Effect of the Circuit Learning Learning Model , this session was attended by 25 fourth grade students. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the Effect of the Circuit Learning Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes Student learning outcomes using the Circuit Learning learning model show higher results than before in Class IV of SDN 057227 Kebun Kelapa with the subject of the theme of the area where I live . The results of the inferential test analysis with the t-test formula, the calculated t value is 73.68, with a frequency of db = 25-1, and an importance level of 0.05%, so the t- table value is 17.73. So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected while Ha is accepted. This shows that the application of the circuit learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 15 Sungai Liat on the theme of the area where I live is very influential.

Abstract

Abstract This paper presents an academic linguistic analysis of the term washing overboard in English marine insurance contracts, highlighting its semantic, pragmatic, and legal dimensions. The study examines how the Indonesian translation “tersapu ombak” narrows the original meaning, potentially undermining the protective intent of the contract for the insured. Using a combination of linguistic analysis, translation theory, and legal principles, the paper demonstrates that semantic narrowing, misguided translation, and a focus on direct evidence have led insurers to deny claims improperly, disregarding the broader causal context recognized in maritime law and industry practice. The analysis incorporates prima causa and proxima causa, showing that multiple causal factors—including natural perils such as storms, rough seas, and wind—contribute to cargo loss. The principle of contra proferentem is applied to argue that contractual ambiguities must be resolved in favor of the insured. Additionally, this study reviews authoritative sources, including Institute Cargo Clauses (ICC A/B/C), maritime dictionaries, and standard insurance texts, to support a comprehensive understanding of washing overboard. Ethical considerations in data analysis and the role of translation fidelity are emphasized, given that insured parties often cannot access or fully interpret source-language contracts. This paper provides recommendations for insurers, translators, legal practitioners, and policyholders to ensure that maritime insurance contracts maintain their protective and functional intent across languages.

Abstract

Abstract

The era of technological disruption brought massive changes that not only transformed the industrial sector, but also the order of values, culture, and character of the nation. Students as a digital native generation are at the forefront of this change, but at the same time are the most vulnerable group to exposure to transnational ideologies, individualism, and digital polarization. This research aims to analyze the real challenges faced by Pancasila Education in higher education in the era of disruption, as well as formulate strategies to strengthen the adaptive national character for students. The research method used is literature review by collecting, reducing, and analyzing data from various scientific literature, books, and related reputable journals. The results of the study show that the main challenges of Pancasila Education include the obsolete conventional learning methodology and the massive flow of foreign information that obscures local values. The recommended strategies are the reconstruction of a digital-based curriculum, the use of media-rich learning, and the internalization of Pancasila values through an interactive cyber-pedagogical approach.

Abstract

This transcendental phenomenological study examines how Generation Z university students in Bangka Belitung, a peripheral Indonesian province, experience English self-efficacy and perceive the urgency of developing proficiency for international mobility programs. While literature often focuses on metropolitan hubs, this study addresses the empirical gap in under-resourced regions by examining self-efficacy and urgency as an interacting pair. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 purposively sampled students, and data were analyzed via Colaizzi’s method. Four themes emerged: English as a "golden ticket" driving urgency; fragile self-efficacy shaped by limited local mastery; vicarious scaffolding from digital environments; and active negotiation between urgency and efficacy. The essence of their lived experience highlights a continuous negotiation between global aspirations and local constraints, managed through self-directed, digital learning. Consequently, the study introduces the model, which extends Bandura's framework by integrating a digital pathway and framing urgency as both a motivational catalyst and a psychological pressure. The findings offer key practical implications for higher education in peripheral regions.

Abstract

The massive penetration of smartphones among elementary school-aged children demands the strengthening of the role of homeroom teachers as the primary companions of students in the school environment. This study aims to analyze the role of homeroom teachers in addressing the negative influence of smartphones on upper-grade elementary school students in Cluster 1 Labuhan Ratu. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a population of all upper-grade homeroom teachers (grades IV, V, and VI) in Cluster 1 Labuhan Ratu, totaling 72 people. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling of 36 homeroom teachers, and data were collected using a questionnaire instrument. The results showed that the role of homeroom teachers in addressing the negative influence of smartphones was in the moderately influential category, with 64% (23 of 36 respondents) of homeroom teachers in that category, while 28% were in the influential category and 8% were in the less influential category. This finding confirms that the role of homeroom teachers is already running but is not optimal, so strengthening the competence of homeroom teachers in accompanying students in facing digital risks in the smartphone era is still needed.
