Abstract

Instructional media is a fundamental component of educational activities, serving as teaching tools that assist educators in enhancing the teaching and learning process. It contributes in clarifying the information conveyed by teachers, thereby facilitating the achievement of educational objectives. This study aims to design an Arabic comic based on local wisdom as a medium for learning the Arabic language and to evaluate its feasibility. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, in which each development stage is systematically evaluated. The resulting product is a learning medium for the Al-Mihnah (professions) material. Validation results indicate that the comic received a score of 91.76% from material experts and 98.57% from media experts. A trial conducted on 12 fifth-grade students yielded a score of 89.5%, indicating that the Arabic comic based on local wisdom is highly suitable for use as a learning medium for the Arabic language. The findings imply that Arabic comics based on local wisdom can serve as effective and engaging instructional media, supporting language learning while promoting cultural values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the swarm-based learning management model in enhancing the quality of Arabic language learning, focusing on the development of collaboration, communication, adaptation, flexibility, critical and creative thinking skills, as well as the integration of digital technology in the Arabic learning process. The research employs a library research method using a literature review approach to analyze data and information related to swarm-based learning management in enhancing Arabic learning quality. The findings indicate that swarm-based learning management is implemented through the following stages: The first stage involves determining the components of swarm-based learning management, which include setting learning objectives, grouping students, organizing the learning environment, utilizing digital technology, scheduling, and evaluation. The second stage involves defining the steps of swarm-based learning management, including initiation, grouping, task organization, supervision, and evaluation. The third stage involves establishing strategies for swarm-based learning management, including project-based learning strategies, research-based learning strategies, and case-based learning strategies. The results of this study are expected to provide new insights for educators and educational practitioners in the field of Arabic language education to develop more relevant and effective learning strategies in the current era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This study investigates the problem of limited vocabulary mastery among students, which is often caused by teachers’ minimal use of engaging learning media. To address this challenge, the researcher implemented Arabic domino cards as a learning tool to improve students’ vocabulary acquisition. The research employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test post-test method, conducted with 17 fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School 23, North Aceh. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using the N-Gain Score and T-Test with SPSS 29. The results revealed that student activities while learning with Arabic domino cards reached a highly effective level, with an adjusted N-Gain Score of 78.34%. The T-Test analysis showed a significance value of 0.01 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery. Based on these findings, the study concludes that the use of Arabic domino cards is an effective instructional medium for enhancing vocabulary mastery among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of the Guided Composition Method in teaching Arabic sentence writing to second-year students at Ulumuddin Islamic Junior High School, Uteunkot Cunda, Lhokseumawe. The research was motivated by the need to strengthen students’ written expression skills through an instructional approach that facilitates accurate sentence construction in Arabic. A descriptive-analytical design was adopted, employing multiple data collection techniques, including classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of students’ written work following the implementation of the method. The qualitative analysis focused on students’ engagement with the method and the progression of their writing proficiency. Findings revealed notable variation in student responses: while several students demonstrated positive engagement and marked improvement, others encountered difficulties in comprehending certain concepts. The study concludes that the Guided Composition Method constitutes an effective pedagogical strategy when applied with flexible instructional practices that accommodate individual learning differences. Accordingly, the method holds significant potential to enhance students’ proficiency in Arabic writing when integrated into a well-structured teaching framework.

Abstract

Vocabulary constitutes a fundamental component of language, as mastery of vocabulary enhances comprehension of both written and spoken texts. Achieving fluency in Arabic likewise depends greatly on the acquisition of an extensive vocabulary. Hence, the purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of employing the Educandy game in improving vocabulary mastery among first-grade students at the State Islamic Senior High School 2 of Lhokseumawe. The researcher adopted a quantitative approach through an experimental study, utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group and administering both pre-tests and post-tests. The research population comprised all first-grade students of the school (87 students), while the sample consisted of 59 students. Results of the Mann–Whitney test yielded a significance value of 0.000, which is lower than the threshold of 0.05, indicating rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Furthermore, the N-Gain score for the experimental group reached 62%, reflecting a moderately effective category. Accordingly, the findings of this study suggest that the application of the Educandy game is effective in enhancing vocabulary mastery among first-grade students at the State Islamic Senior High School 2 of Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

The science of nahwu is one of the fundamental branches of knowledge in Arabic, therefore, studying it is essential. Without Nahwu, one cannot fully understand Arabic. However, it is often perceived as difficult, particularly for beginners. Mastery of Nahwu is also crucial in reading classical texts known as Kitab Kuning. To address this issue, an appropriate method is needed to help students understand and memorize grammatical rules through the use of rythm. This study applies the rhythm methods as a learning strategy. The aim of this thesis is to determine the influence of the rhythm method on learning nahwu. The research employed a quantitative experimental approach, specifically a pre-experimental one group design. The population used was 15 students, all of whom were included. Data were collected using pre and post tests. The findings indicate that the rhythm method significantly improves learning nahwu outcomes, as evidenced by the Wilcoxon test result (p= 0.001 < 0.05), which supports the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Furthermore, the N-Gain Score test was 81. It can be concluded the use of the rhythm method has an influence on learning the rules of nahwu.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is one of the main challenges in learning Arabic at the madrasah level. Therefore, attractive and effective learning media are needed to enhance students’ understanding. This study aims to develop picture card media with letter arrangements as a learning tool for Arabic vocabulary (mufradat) among seventh-grade students at MTsN Lhokseumawe. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research population was 215 students, with a sample of 32 students. Data were collected using expert validated questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the picture card media received a score of 91% from media experts (very good category) and 100% from material experts (highly feasible). Student responses were also positive, with a percentage of 89%, indicating that this media is effective, engaging, and feasible for use in Arabic vocabulary learning.
