Abstract

Family planning is an attempt to spacing or planning the number of children and the length of pregnancy using contraceptives. Family planning, namely limiting the number of children in a family where only two children are allowed. Family planning that is allowed is an effort to regulate or restrict births or an effort to prevent pregnancy temporarily based on the agreement of the husband and wife due to certain situations and conditions for the benefit of the family, society, or the state. In implementing the family planning program, it is very necessary to have a major contribution that plays a role in it, namely the Family Planning Field Officer (PLKB), which is the vision of the BKKBN organization, namely the institutionalization of happy and prosperous small family norms and creating quality families. To achieve this is needed as a driving factor for behavior someone, and the driving factor is none other than a need and desire of someone to carry out an activity. If someone wants something, he will be motivated to do certain activities to get what he needs. This is a qualitative research with a descriptive-qualitative approach. This study used a qualitative method design which is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. The aim is to analyze the Self Motivation of Family Planning Field Officers in Implementing the Family Planning Program (KB) in the P2AP2KB Office of North Nias Regency. This research was conducted by presenting information from 4 sub-districts of in-depth interview data collection techniques, it was concluded that the self-motivation of Family Planning Field Officers in implementing the Family Planning program, a lot of knowledge, especially training sent to the field of PLKB self-motivation is directly related to their performance in implementing the program. family planning, lack of field extension officers in every village, problems and obstacles faced by PLKB, the community is still less interested in becoming family planning acceptors, human resources in family planning services are still lacking, understanding of PLKB related to reporting is not good and cooperation between health facility midwives and village heads not good.

Abstract

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is one of the foodstuffs with sufficient antioxidant content, which are lycopene, polyphenols and vitamin C. Antioxidants can protect the human body from repairing damage caused by reactive oxygen and other free radicals. The purpose of this study was to formulate the tomato juice in solid soap form, determined its moisturizing effectiveness, and the quality assessment of solid soap based on Indonesian National Standard. The preparation of solid soap was started from blank formula (F0) and the addition of simplicia in various concentrations of 5% (F1), 10% (F2) and 15% (F3). Physical stability testing of preparations included of irritation test and hedonic on volunteers’ skin, and skin moisture test. Inspection of solid soap quality based on Indonesian National Standard which are pH, foam height, free alkali and free fatty acid. The result of this study is tomato juice could be formulated into solid soap did not irritate volunteers’ skin. Soap containing exfoliant with 15% concentration (F3) moisturize the skin the most, with 40,80% moisture increased. The solid soap also fulfilled the Indonesian National Standard, their pH were 9.61-9.83, stable foam, 0.08% free alkali, and 0,765% free fatty acid. Solid soap preparations containing tomato juice with 15% concentration gave the best effectiveness to moisturize the skin and fullfiled the Indonesian National Standard.

Abstract

Background: Employee performance is influenced by several factors including leadership style, work culture and motivation that will affect the quality of service provided to the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership style, work culture and motivation on nurse performance at the Bantuan Hospital 01.08.01. Purpose: This study aims to describe the influence of leadership style, work culture and motivation on nurse performance at Bantuan Hospital 01.08.01. Method: This type of research is an explanatory research, the study was conducted in March-August 2018, the population and sample in this study were all nurses at the Hospital Assistance 01.08.01. Kisaran, North Sumatra Province as many as 37 people. Results: Situational leadership style, work culture and motivation partially have a positive and significant effect on the performance of nurses at Bantuan Hospital 01.08.01. Discussion and Conclusion: Simultaneously, the leadership style is the most dominant factor that greatly influences the performance of nurses in the Sub-Hospital 01.08.01. Where a good leadership style has a 24,404 times greater chance of a nurse's performance compared to a bad leadership style. this study are expected to make Hospital Leaders ranging from the director's supervisor to the head of the room need to apply leadership style that leads to a partisative style so that nurses are more responsible in carrying out services to patients and provide salary and salary bonuses in accordance with the nurse's performance and also give awards for good performance achievements such as promotion or other matters as well as making training - training so that nurses are able to increase knowledge in order to achieve effective and efficient performance.

Abstract

Background: Several types of basic immunizations are given when babies require a booster dose to increase their immunity, one of which is through the provision of follow-up immunizations at the age of 18 months. Nationally, one of the booster immunization programs is the measles booster immunization. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of audio-visual media on the knowledge and attitudes of mothers of infants 0-24 months about giving measles booster immunization in the Hutapaung Health Center Work Area. Method: This research is a quantitative research in the form of pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The population of this study were all mothers who had babies 0-24 months (baduta) and 180 people had not done measles booster immunization to their children. The sampling technique in this study was using a random sampling technique using the Slovin formula as many as 64 people, then to determine the number of mothers under the age of five who were sampled in each village, the proportional stratified random sampling technique was used. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet. Results:  The results obtained p-value = 0.000 for both the knowledge variable and the attitude variable. Discussion and Conclusion: The conclusion is that there is an effect of audio-visual media on the knowledge and attitudes of mothers of infants 0-24 months about giving measles booster immunization. So it is necessary to develop health counseling activities both outside the building and inside the building using audio-visual media in order to improve the knowledge and attitudes of mothers for the better.

Abstract

Background: Farmers have long used pesticides in an effort to control pests in vegetable and fruit crops. The use of pesticides aims to increase production in the hope that plants will avoid pests and diseases. In the highlands the use of pesticides on vegetable and fruit plants is considered too intensive, because hams and plant diseases in cool climate conditions with high rainfall and humidity are good conditions for breeding. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship age, spraying technique, spraying time with health complaints to farmers spraying pesticides in the community in Ajinembah Village, Brand District, Karo Regency. Method: This type of research is descriptive and quantitative in nature and uses a cross-sectional approach. The research population consisted of 67 farmers who were interviewed. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with chi-square test statistics. Resutls: The results of statistical tests show that the relationship between age and health complaints in Ajinembah Village has a p-value of 0.039 where the value is <0.05 which means that there is a relationship between age and health complaints. The relationship between the time of spraying and health complaints in Ajinembah Village has a p-value of 0.013 where the value is <0.05 which means that there is a relationship between the time of spraying and health complaints. The relationship between spraying technique and health complaints has a p-value of 0.000 where the value is <0.05 which means that there is a relationship between spraying technique and health complaints. Discussion and Conclusion: It is hoped that farmers will spray according to the direction of the wind to reduce health complaints.

Abstract

Backgorund: Diabetes mellitus is diabetes or blood sugar disease which belongs to the group of chronic diseases characterized by increased blood sugar levels. To improve the quality of life of type II DM patients, it can be done through the implementation of five pillars, namely education, fulfillment of nutrition, exercise, pharmacological therapy and monitoring of blood sugar levels. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between implementation of the five pillars and quality of life in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Method: The research method used is using a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study was accidental sampling, which consisted of 40 samples. The research instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of a five pillar implementation questionnaire with 15 statements and a quality of life questionnaire with 12 questions. Results: The results showed that the majority of respondents had a good implementation of the five pillars totaling 23 respondents (57.5%) and a good quality of life for the majority of them amounting to 32 respondents (80%). The results of the research data used the Spearman Rho test which showed that there was a relationship between the implementation of the five pillars and the quality of life in patients with diabetes mellitus type II at the Batang Beruh Health Center with pvalue = 0.003 p <0.05 with a value of r = 0.455, thus it can be concluded that the better the implementation five pillars, the better the quality of life of type II diabetes mellitus patients. Discussion & Conclusion: Therefore, this research is expected to encourage patients to carry out the implementation of the five pillars so that the quality of life of type II diabetes mellitus patients is good.

Abstract

Background: Pregnancy for women is a meaningful experience. During pregnancy, women experience physical, hormonal and physiological changes. These changes include body shape, daily habits, cravings or pica, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and discomfort that arise due to pregnancy, Purpose: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of lemon oil aromatherapy in reducing nausea and vomiting of pregnant women in the first trimester. This type of research is an analytical study with a quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted at Mariana Clinic, Bah Jambi Village, Simalungun Regency. The study population was all pregnant women in the first trimester with a gestational age of 4-16 weeks, with a total sample of 26 people. Method: Data collection was carried out by giving the PUQE instrument before and after being given lemon oil aromatherapy to pregnant women. Then proceed with the data analysis stage using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The study showed that the degree of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester before being given lemon oil aromatherapy was mostly heavy as many as 14 people (53.8%), and after being given lemon oil aromatherapy the majority was mild as many as 17 people (65.4%). There was a difference in the degree of nausea and vomiting before and after being given lemon oil aromatherapy with a p value = 0.000. Discussion and Conclusion: Thus, pregnant women should do lemon oil aromatherapy, because giving lemon oil aromatherapy can reduce the intensity of nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women so they don't become dehydrated

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze hypertension during pregnancy and premature rupture of membranes (PROM) with the incidence of neonatorium asphyxia at R. Method: This type of research is analytic observational research using a case-control research design. The population in this study were all mothers who had just given birth to a baby at RSU Full Betesda  for the period January-December 2021, totaling 284 people with a sample consisting of 37 samples for the case group and 37 samples for the control group. Collecting data with secondary data and analyzed with the chi Square statistical test with a confidence level of 95%. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between hypertension during pregnancy and the incidence of neonatorium asphyxia at RSU Full Betesda  and there was a relationship between premature rupture of membranes and neonatal asphyxia at RSU Full Betesda. Discussion and Conclusion:  It is suggested to RSU Full Betesda  to improve human resources by providing training on the management of hypertension during pregnancy and premature rupture of membranes, so that service providers, especially midwives, can handle emergencies properly, thereby reducing complications from their actions and for midwives in order to provide more health services. based on professional standards in providing comprehensive midwifery care services and can improve abilities, skills so that the handling of newborns with asphyxia is adequate.

Abstract

Purpose: Stunting is one of the problems that hinder human development globally. Stunting is a nutritional problem that must be considered for the sake of an advanced nation's generation. Adverse effects that can be caused by stunting are disruption of brain development, intelligence, impaired physical growth, and metabolic disorders in the body, decreased cognitive ability and learning achievement, decreased immunity so that you get sick easily, and a high risk of developing diabetes, obesity, heart disease and blood vessels, cancer, stroke and disability in old age. This will reduce the quality of Indonesia's human resources, productivity and competitiveness of the nation. The province of North Sumatra, the prevalence of stunting, is 30.11% and the district of Humbang Hasundutan, the prevalence of stunting under five is 41.3%. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the risk factors for stunting in toddlers in the working area of the Kampung Baru Health Center in Medan City in 2021. This research is an analytical research with a cross-sectional approach carried out in the working area of the Kampung Baru puskesmas, during January - December 2021. The population is mothers who have toddlers. Method: The sampling method was carried out by total sampling, namely the entire population was used as the research sample. The type of data is primary data through direct interviews guided by a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out in stages including univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and stunting in toddlers (p value = 0.015). There is a relationship between parenting style and the incidence of stunting in toddlers (p value = 0.0347). There is no relationship between access to sanitation and the incidence of stunting in toddlers (p = 0.716). There is a relationship between socio-economic and Stunting Incidents in Toddlers (p value = 0.022). Disscusion and Conclusion: There is a relationship between socio-economic and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The most dominant factor related to the incidence of stunting is knowledge.

Abstract

Purpose: Quality of service is a form of patient assessment of the level of service received with the expected level of service. Quality service gives satisfaction to its users. Patient satisfaction is a form of reaction as an attitude that arises as a result of the evaluation process within the individual which then provides conclusions on the stimuli that can be in the form of good or bad, positive, negative, pleasant or unpleasant or emotional ratings related to the quality of services provided by the Puskesmas and patient expectations of the service. This study aims to determine the relationship between the quality of health services and the satisfaction level of outpatients at the Kenangan Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency in 2022. Method: The correlation analytic study design used a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were outpatients at the Kenangan Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency, from January to May 2022, with an average of 869 patients per month. The sampling technique used the Purpose Sampling technique so that the number of samples in this study were 90 people. The instruments used were questionnaires, the data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that the quality of outpatient services at the Kenangan Health Center in Deli Serdang Regency in 2022 assessed the quality of health services as not good at 51.1% with a total of 46 respondents and outpatient satisfaction at the Kenangan Health Center in Deli Serdang Regency in 2022 which assessed patient satisfaction was not satisfied by 53.3% with a total of 48 respondents, there is a significant relationship between the relationship between the quality of health services and the level of outpatient patient satisfaction at the Kenangan Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2022 (p value = 0.000 <0.05). Disscusion and Conclusion: Suggestions to the Kenangan Health Center in Deli Serdang Regency for service workers to further increase empathy for patients so that patients feel really cared for by officers so they feel satisfied with the services provided.
