Abstract

As information technology develops, the utilization of the internet as a business platform has increased significantly, allowing companies to promote their products and services more widely and efficiently. This research explores the development of a mobile website for a homeware company in Batam, which currently relies on online platforms such as Shopee and Tokopedia. This dependency causes limitations in reaching customers optimally. Therefore, this research proposes the development of mobile web-based promotional media using the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of need analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This method was chosen to ensure a systematic approach in designing and developing a responsive and appropriate website. Using Unified Modeling Language (UML) in system design possibly allows clear visualization and effective stakeholder communication. The implementation conducted by employing PHP, MySQL, and CodeIgniter framework resulted in a website which is expected to be able to fulfil the functional and non-functional needs of the company. The results show that developing this mobile web-based promotion system can potentially increase the company's market reach and operational efficiency as well as provide easy access for customers. This research provides an innovative model for similar companies to adopt digital technology to improve their business competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based application for Internal Quality Audit at Universitas Ibnu Sina, replacing the conventional audit process which is currently in use. The previous manual audit process resulted in inefficiencies and increased the risk of errors. Key challenges identified include limitations in human resources, time, and funding, as well as the low effectiveness of the audit process. In order to address these issues, the proposed information system facilitates the distribution of online checklists and document uploads, thereby expediting the verification and reporting audit results. This research adopts the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach in its development, utilizing methods that include use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and database design. These methods enhance interaction and workflow within the audit team. Testing results indicate that the system functions to the expected specifications. Furthermore, this study demonstrates that implementing a web-based system can accelerate reporting, improve the structure and documentation of audits, and support efforts to enhance academic quality at the university. Implementing this system is expected to increase efficiency and accuracy in the academic quality audit process at Universitas Ibnu Sina.

Abstract

This study aims to develop android-based interactive learning media for Electrical Lighting Installation subjects by using Adobe Animate CC. The research was conducted in response to the limited variation of learning media, which has affected student engagement and motivation in technical subjects. The Research and Development (R&D) model, adapting a 3D out of 4D model (Define, Design, Develop) was referred to develop interactive media designed for vocational students. The media integrates audiovisual elements to enhance students' learning experiences and promote independent learning outside the classroom. The validation process utilized questionnaires, interviews, and observations from content experts, media experts, and students. The media was validated by experts in two stages. In the first stage, the media achieved a feasibility score of 68%, categorized as "fairly good." After revisions, the second validation showed an improvement with a feasibility score of 85.33%, categorized as "very good". The results indicate that the Android-based learning media potentially enhance the learning process of Electrical Lighting Installation subjects effectively, providing a more engaging and flexible tool for students. This innovation significantly contributes to improving the quality of technical education by offering an accessible and interactive learning resource. It also addresses the challenges of limited learning media variation and encourages independent learning, possibly serving as a model for the development of similar media in other technical subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media to improve student interest at SMKN 1 Kuantan Mudik. AR, which integrates virtual objects into the real world, is expected to enrich the learning experience through innovative visual and interactive elements. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) which includes preliminary research, prototype creation, student response assessment, and systematic reflection. The AR-based learning media prototype was developed using Assemblr Edu software and evaluated by media experts, content specialists, and students. The validation results indicate that the media is highly viable, receiving a score of 92.7% from content experts and media specialists. Student trials produced ratings of 88.9% for effectiveness and 90.3% for engagement. The findings demonstrate that AR-based learning media significantly enhance student interest and involvement in the learning process. This study concludes that augmented reality learning media substantially improve educational experiences in vocational settings, showing potential for broader implementation across various subjects. However, this research is limited to expert validation processes and primarily focuses on student responses rather than measuring learning outcomes. This study is anticipated to provide a foundation for developing more comprehensive and effective learning media.

Abstract

The development of a web-based e-learning at SMK Negeri 4 Padang was initiated by the absence of a structured e-learning system at the school. This study aims to design and implement e-learning using the Chamilo Learning Management System (LMS) platform, ensuring its validity and practicality. The study employs Research and Development (R&D), adapting 3 stages of the ADDIE model, including analyzing, designing, and developing. The results of the validity test, assessed by three lecturers as media validators, show a score of 91.84%, categorized as very valid. The practicality test results show that 92.31% of teachers and 82.34% of students rated the system on the very practical category. Based on this data, the developed e-learning system at SMK Negeri 4 Padang is considered valid and practical. However, this study has not been through the broader implementation and evaluation. Therefore, it is suggested for further researchers conducting the similar studies to get it come to the whole stages of ADDIE model, confirming its effectiveness.
