Abstract

Indonesia is included in the third country with the highest prevalence in the South-East Asia Region (SEAR). The average prevalence of stunting of toddlers in Indonesia in 2005-2017 was 36.4%. The data on stunting toddlers in Tangerang Regency was 23.2%. This study at to determine the factor analysis of stunting at the Caringin Public Health Center, Tangerang Regency in 2021. The type of research used was an analytical observational study with a case control study design. The sample in this study was 75 for each group of cases and controls using simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire for primary data and an MCH handbook for secondary data. Data analysis has been done by a chi square test. Out of 150 respondents, it was found that mothers with a history of CED during pregnancy were 24%, mothers with a history of anemia during pregnancy was 56.7%, a history of LBW was 8.7%, a history of not exclusive breastfeeding was 55.3% , and a history of infectious diseases was 40.7%. Nutritional status of pregnant women (p-value = 0.000, OR = 7.667), HB levels in pregnant women (pvalue = 0.008, OR = 2.563), history of exclusive breastfeeding (pvalue = 0.009, OR = 2.545) were factors associated with stunting. There was a relationship between the nutritional status of pregnant women, HB levels in pregnant women, and a history of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of stunting. The factor most related to the incidence of stunting was the nutritional status of pregnant women (OR = 7,667). It is hoped that health workers will further increase the provision of additional food and IEC regarding the importance of FE tablets for pregnant women as a program for improving nutrition for pregnant women

Abstract

Introduction: Anxiety disorders have a high incidence rate in the elderly, with the most significant factor being thinking about the disease they are suffering from. This requires therapeutic communication to build a nurse-patient relationship with the elderly to adapt to psychological disorders, including anxiety, to relieve and make elderly patients feel comfortable, ultimately speeding up their recovery. Goals: Aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic communication in reducing anxiety levels in the elderly. Method: A review article was conducted based on research issues and methodology, with article searches using the PICO framework strategy using the Google Scholar, Springer, ResearchGate, and Semantic Scholar databases. Results: The results of the study show that anxiety is a common problem often experienced by the elderly during the aging process. Some factors that trigger anxiety in the elderly include health issues and a lack of social interaction due to death or relocation. The research indicates that therapeutic communication can help reduce anxiety levels in the elderly. Good therapeutic communication by healthcare professionals has a positive impact on reducing patient anxiety. Discussion: In this regard, the researcher highlights the importance of therapeutic communication in reducing anxiety in the elderly. Both verbal and nonverbal therapeutic communication is considered a key element in nursing care. Additionally, the researcher emphasizes the importance of adopting different approaches when applying therapeutic communication techniques to the elderly. Unstable emotional reactions and communication barriers pose specific challenges in interacting with the elderly.

Abstract

ASEAN data in 2022 stated that 76,543 postpartum mothers experienced breast engorgement. 17.2 million postpartum mothers worldwide experience breast pain problems while breastfeeding. In Indonesia, the incidence of breastfeeding mothers experiencing breast engorgement reached the highest figure of 37.2% and 16% of working breastfeeding mothers experienced breast engorgement. Breast engorgement is interpreted as increased venous and lymph flow in the breasts to prepare for lactation. This is due to overdistension of the lactation ducts, causing breast swelling pain, and breast engorgement accompanied by an increase in body temperature. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest two-group design. The sample consisted of 30 postpartum mothers who experienced breast engorgement pain and were divided into 2 intervention groups, namely aloe vera compresses and cabbage compresses, the intervention was carried out for 14 days. The instrument used was the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Data were analyzed using the Paired T-Test and Independent T-Test. In the Independent Sample T-Test, the p-value of the VAS scale for the aloe vera group was 0.019 <0.05 with an average score of 2.0 and the VAS scale for the cabbage group was 0.037 <0.05 with an average score of 1.87.
