Abstract

Work design is a key element in human resource management that focuses on designing and organizing tasks to improve employee performance and organizational results. This research conducted a systematic review of 20 international articles to investigate and understand concepts, theories and practices related to work design and their impact on employee performance, job satisfaction and organizational outcomes. The review results show that key elements in work design, such as skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy, and feedback, significantly increase employee motivation and engagement. Job characteristics theory, demand-control theory, and socio-technical systems approach are the main frameworks used in previous research to explain how work design can influence various aspects of work. In addition, new approaches such as job crafting and smart work design also show great potential in adapting work to individual employee needs and leveraging modern technology to create a more flexible and adaptive work environment. This research concludes that holistic and integrated job design can improve employee performance and well-being, as well as achieve better organizational outcomes. However, it is important for organizations to consider the balance between the benefits of technology and its impact on employee wellbeing. By understanding and implementing effective work design principles, organizations can create a productive and satisfying work environment, which ultimately supports overall business success.

Abstract

This study focuses on scholarship recipients because they have greater responsibility in managing personal finances. This is due to the funding coming from government or private budgets for education, and not all underprivileged students can enjoy it. Management students are already familiar with economic and financial concepts learned during lectures. This research uses an explanatory method and is conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong. Data is collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 25 and multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Data quality tests include validity and reliability tests, while classical assumption tests include normality tests, autocorrelation tests, multicollinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. The t-test is used to measure the influence of an independent variable on the dependent variable, while the coefficient of determination (R²) is used to predict the contribution of independent variables to the dependent variable. This study aims to determine the influence of academic ability, financial literacy, and self-control on personal financial management and to see the differences in personal financial management between economics and non-economics students.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of green banking and bank efficiency (BOPO) on profitability in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia during the 2019-2023 period. The data used is secondary data from sharia commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), with a sample consisting of 7 sharia banks selected through a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using the multiple regression method on panel data using Eviews 12 to understand the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The research results show that partially, green banking has a significant positive effect on Return on Assets (ROA), while BOPO has a significant negative effect on ROA. Simultaneous testing found that the implementation of green banking as measured by GCR and BOPO together had a positive and significant influence on ROA. These findings indicate the importance of implementing green banking and operational efficiency in increasing the profitability of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the value chain on competitive advantage in Coffee Shops in Mataram City. The value chain is considered crucial in achieving competitive advantage in business. The study collects primary data through a questionnaire involving 40 respondents who are coffee shop owners in Mataram City. To examine the impact of the value chain on competitive advantage, this study utilizes regression analysis with PLS 4 as the analytical tool. The findings of this study suggest that the value chain does not significantly influence the competitive advantage of coffee shops in Mataram City. This implies that improving the coffee value chain in Mataram City does not necessarily enhance its competitive advantage. Additionally, the study indicates that the value chain alone is not the sole determinant of competitive advantage. Therefore, coffee business owners in Mataram City should focus on enhancing other strategies such as marketing, menu innovation, excellent customer service, meeting local consumer preferences, and adapting to evolving market trends and customer preferences.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of forensic accounting skills on fraud detection through an auditor's self-efficacy. Additionally, the study introduces CAATTs as a moderating variable. Hypotheses were tested using SPSS. The research finds that forensic accounting skills, including technical and analytical skills, psycho-social skills, and accounting and auditing skills, have a positive and significant impact on auditor self-efficacy. Conversely, effective communication skills were found to have no significant influence on auditor self-efficacy. Furthermore, self-efficacy and CAATT were found to positively and significantly influence fraud detection. However, CAATT was found unable to moderate the influence of self-efficacy on fraud detection. These findings imply the need for auditor in BPK RI to focus on enhancing technical and analytical, psychosocial, and accounting and auditing skills to boost their confidence in detecting fraud within audited entities. Future research is recommended to broaden the scope beyond investigative units to encompass all units within the BPK RI to explore broader variables impacting fraud detection as part of anti-corruption efforts.
