Unnes Civic Education Journal {UCEJ} is a peer-reviewed journal that covers the fields of scientific knowledge or academic that civics education studies. The UCEJ is an academic journal centered in citizenship studies i.e. civic education {curriculum, teaching, instructional media, and evaluation}, political education, law education, moral education, and multicultural education. Contributions are welcome in any suitable form, including critical essays, reviews of significant topics, case studies, theoretical and empirical articles, and statistical analysis. It has been published biannually since 2012 with the registered number p-ISSN 2252-6293 and e-ISSN 2549-0400. UCEJ was published by Civic Education Program, Universitas Negeri Semarang and this is an open-access journal and also available in print.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan efektif dan menyebabkan partisipasi peserta didik dan tingkat keikutsertaan dalam kegiatan belajar berkurang sehingga berakibat negatif pada hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan, menguji kelayakan, dan menguji keefektifan media pembelajaran interaktif e-komik berbasis aplikasi Canva untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila kelas VII B SMP Negeri 19 Seamarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Analisis data meliputi kelayakan produk, analisis data awal dan akhir (uji t dan uji N-Gain). hasil penelitian menunjukkan media ini sangat layak dan valid berdasarkan penilaian ahli media (100%) dan ahli materi (71,76%). Tanggapan guru dan peserta didik juga sangat positif (masing-masing 100% dan 92,5%). Hasil analisi uji t berpasangan menunjukkan sig (2-failed) 0,000 < 0,05 dan hasil N-gain menunjukkan nilai 0,73. Dari data tersebut dapat dikatakan terjadi peningkatan secara signifikan dengan kategori “tinggi”.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of political recruitment in the Nasdem Party in the 2024 General Election in Kudus Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out about political recruitment and the advantages and disadvantages of political recruitment patterns in the Nasdem Party in the 2024 General Election in Kudus Regency. This research uses a qualitative method. Data sources used primary and secondary sources with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The validity technique uses source triangulation techniques. Data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the DPD Nasdem Party organized political recruitment in the form of recruitment of Nasdem Party members or cadres, recruitment of legislative candidates, and recruitment of candidates for regents and deputy regents. Political recruitment in the DPD Nasdem Party of Kudus Regency is carried out with an open system using a selection system through cooption, and is carried out using a lateral pattern. The advantages of political recruitment patterns in the DPD Nasdem Party of Kudus Regency are (1) Open Political Recruitment System, (2) No Dowry Politics, and (3) DPD Nasdem Party of Kudus Regency helps in completing the administrative requirements for legislative candidates. The weaknesses of the political recruitment pattern in the DPD Nasdem Party of Kudus Regency are (1) Candidates for legislative members do not understand the procedures for completing administrative requirements and (2) Candidates for legislative members easily resign.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi perlindungan kelompok minoritas di Indonesia serta mengkaji peran hukum adat sebagai mekanisme alternatif dalam mendukung perlindungan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur, yang mengintegrasikan sumber teoretis berupa jurnal ilmiah dan sumber empiris berupa laporan serta berita terkait pelanggaran terhadap kelompok minoritas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlindungan minoritas di Indonesia masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama akibat keterbatasan hukum formal yang bersifat normatif dan kurang kontekstual terhadap dinamika sosial masyarakat. Dalam kondisi tersebut, hukum adat sebagai living law memiliki potensi signifikan karena memiliki legitimasi sosial yang kuat dan mampu menawarkan pendekatan yang lebih restoratif. Namun demikian, penerapan hukum adat juga memerlukan penyesuaian agar selaras dengan prinsip hak asasi manusia. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan pluralisme hukum menjadi relevan melalui integrasi antara hukum negara dan hukum adat, sehingga dapat menciptakan sistem perlindungan yang lebih efektif, kontekstual, dan berkeadilan. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat kajian pluralisme hukum serta memberikan rekomendasi konseptual bagi pengembangan kebijakan perlindungan minoritas di Indonesia.

Abstract

Fulfilling nutritional needs is a fundamental human right essential for achieving a healthy and prosperous life. In Cemoro Village, Temanggung Regency, some residents continue to consume Oyek, a traditional corn-based staple food, as part of their daily diet despite the increasing preference for rice due to its convenience. This study aims to analyze community perceptions of fulfilling food and nutrition rights through Oyek consumption and identify the social, cultural, and dietary factors influencing these perceptions. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using interviews, observations, and documentation involving Oyek consumers, village officials, Posyandu cadres, and nutritionists. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that Oyek contributes to fulfilling nutritional needs and reflects local wisdom while supporting household food security. Community perceptions are shaped by sociological, anthropological, geographical, nutritional, and human rights perspectives, as well as local culture and generational differences. Based on Social Cognitive Theory, Oyek consumption results from interactions among personal, environmental, and behavioral factors. Older generations primarily maintain Oyek as a cultural heritage and energy source, whereas younger generations tend to consume it for health and dietary reasons. Overall, Oyek remains a valuable local food that supports nutrition, food security, and cultural preservation in rural communities.

Abstract

Technological developments have driven the transformation of learning evaluation  from conventional systems to digital ones through Computer-Based Testing (CBT).  Consequently, MTsN 1 Wonosobo, through its policy, has implemented ZYA-CBT-based  summative assessment in the madrasah, specifically for the subject of Pancasila  Education, to enhance the practicality of summative assessment and ensure student  integrity. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research..  Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then  analyzed via data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, utilizing  triangulation of sources and techniques to ensure data validity. The results of the study  indicate that the implementation of summative assessment using ZYA-CBT proceeded  effectively and systematically through the planning, implementation, and evaluation  stages. Thus, the use of ZYA-CBT at MTsN 1 Wonosobo can improve effectiveness,  efficiency, and objectivity, as well as strengthen students’ character of honesty through  direct supervision and via the system, although its implementation still faces challenges  related to the system, internet connectivity, and students’ device readiness.
