Abstract

This community service project, a collaborative effort between the government, the local community, and the tourism awareness groups, aims to provide development strategies for achieving sustainable tourism in Undisan Village. The main focus of the initiative is on our collective roles as facilitators, regulators, and motivators in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the area. The primary issue identified is the unsustainable economic development of the local community. The optimal utilization of Tangkup Waterfall in Undisan Village as a tourist destination is also a key concern. The results of this community service project indicate that the government, local community, and tourism awareness groups play a crucial role as facilitators in improving the supporting infrastructure and facilities for tourism in Undisan Village. As regulators, the government is responsible for designing regulations and policies that support sustainable tourism management. However, the government's role as a motivator has yet to be fully realized, necessitating efforts in socialization, training, and allocating stimulant funds to further develop tourism management in the area. In conclusion, the government has a strategic role in achieving the SDGs in Undisan Village through sustainable tourism development. Implementing strategies that align with the region's needs and potential is expected to make positive contributions to the economic, ecological, and socio-cultural aspects.

Abstract

The Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan tourist attraction is one of Bali's ecotourism destinations, offering educational and recreational experiences in a mangrove forest area. The increasing number of visitors poses potential negative impacts on the environment and society. This service aims to analyze sustainable tourism management at Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan. The findings show that sustainable tourism management at Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan is still not optimal. The ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects need to be better integrated. The ecological aspect has yet to be fully implemented in waste management, wastewater treatment, and carrying capacity. The economic aspect could have been more optimal in increasing local income and equitable economic benefits. The socio-cultural aspect has yet to be fully applied in local community empowerment and cultural preservation. Based on the findings, several strategies are recommended to improve sustainable tourism management at Ecomangrove Ulamsari Kedonganan:1. Implementing better waste and wastewater management systems, 2. Developing more creative and innovative ecotourism, 3. Increasing local community participation in ecotourism management, 4. Strengthening education and awareness for tourists about ecotourism

Abstract

The village regulations (awig-awig) of Tenganan Pegeringsingan Traditional Village are supported by the 1945 Constitution and the Provincial Regulation of Bali, thus giving them clear legal authority. These regulations serve to organize, protect, resolve conflicts, and guide the entire community, as well as to develop cultural values that align with local traditions. Although traditional villages are generally seen as social organizations based on the Kahyangan Three and the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, Tenganan maintains a strong adherence to the Rwabhineda philosophy, which originates from the pre-Hindu era. The authority of the traditional village demonstrates a claim of superiority over autonomous power. This autonomy is essentially a reflection of an anthropological construct that has evolved over centuries. Additionally, such regulations automatically provide social control for the Tenganan Pegeringsingan Traditional Village, both preventively and curatively. Organizationally, Tenganan Pegeringsingan has its own leadership mechanism characterized by authenticity and seniority, which fosters a democratic climate. Although seniority is the basis for determining positions, the traditional council does not act arbitrarily. There is a mechanism called "sangkep" or monthly deliberation, which allows all village members to express their opinions. This mechanism automatically creates a collective leadership style, ensuring that power and authority are always based on the regulations (awig-awig) and collective decisions.

Abstract

This KKN-PPM (Student Community Service) program was conducted in Ubung Kaja Village, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City, from July 22 to August 24, 2024, with the theme "Strengthening Ecotourism to Improve the Quality of Life of the Community." This theme highlights efforts to build a sustainable tourism village through creativity in Ecobricks, English language proficiency, and concrete actions in environmental conservation. The theme integrates these three elements in a complementary way, positively impacting the community and the environment. Ecobricks, as a creative recycling product, can become a symbol of the environmentally-conscious tourism village. They can be used to create unique handicrafts with high commercial value while reducing plastic waste. Proficiency in English is crucial for promoting the tourism village to international tourists. Students, as the future ambassadors of the village, can create promotional materials, such as brochures or videos in English, to attract tourists. Environmental Cleanliness: Cleaning activities are a concrete effort to preserve nature and improve the community's quality of life. A clean environment makes the tourist village more attractive and comfortable for visitors. The overarching theme of this program is "sustainability." Activities such as creating eco-bricks, learning English, and cleaning the environment are concrete efforts to realize a sustainable tourism village. These activities provide not only economic benefits but also social and environmental advantages.

Abstract

Environmental awareness among MSME actors in the Dauh Puri Kangin Village area is important to consider as it can positively impact the environment and public health. Here are some key points regarding the environmental awareness of MSME actors: 1. Applying business environmental ethics can reduce the negative impact of MSME production and create business sustainability. 2. Understanding and awareness among MSME actors are necessary for waste management. 3. The government needs to assist MSMEs by facilitating waste management, such as ensuring the operation of wastewater treatment facilities. In addition to environmental awareness, MSME actors also need to pay attention to other issues, such as limited business capital, licensing problems, financial management, lack of product innovation, and difficulties in business development. Digital marketing mechanisms for MSMEs in the Dauh Puri Kangin Village area can be implemented using digital technology and online platforms to achieve marketing goals. Some digital marketing strategies that MSMEs can adopt include: 1. MSMEs can create their own sales website to design the layout, ambience, product catalogue, and promotions. The website should be mobile-friendly for easy access via smartphones. 2. MSMEs can leverage social media as a promotional tool for sales. They can create special groups on platforms like WhatsApp and Line to send product catalogues to loyal customers. 3. MSMEs can collaborate with marketplaces to sell their products. Marketplaces like Shopee and Tokopedia provide security for MSMEs regarding payments. 4. MSMEs can implement email marketing as an online marketing strategy. 5. MSMEs can provide responsive and effective customer service through digital channels such as email, social media, and online chat. Important principles in digital marketing include understanding the target market and consumer behaviour in the digital space, identifying digital platforms that align with the target audience, and analyzing data to measure marketing performance.

Abstract

Marga Dajan Puri Village is located in the Marga District of Tabanan Regency. The livelihoods of the village residents are quite diverse, with the majority engaged in agriculture and plantations. Based on the initiative of several villagers, they formed a group to cultivate Organic Seedless Israeli Lemon, consisting of 13 farmers led by Mr. I Made Suastika. The products they produce include lemon fruit, grafted seedlings, and organic fertilizer. There are several issues related to the management of this business, namely the lack of financial record-keeping, the absence of a promotional system to market their products, and production equipment that is already in disrepair. The activities conducted to assist this lemon farmer group include providing training and support for simple financial record-keeping, creating an online marketing promotion strategy, and procuring some new equipment. The goal of this service activity is to enhance the partners' understanding of business financial record-keeping and marketing, as well as to improve their production capacity. The expected outcomes of this activity include the implementation of simple bookkeeping, increased business turnover, production volume, and market share. The targets to be achieved are: enhanced competitiveness, increased turnover and added value for UMKM, application of science and technology in UMKM, publication in national/international journals, online media publication, and uploading videos on YouTube channels

Afghanistan, a country that has experienced decades of war, political instability, and economic crises, faces significant challenges in healthcare. The main objective is to identify the important issues within the healthcare system and propose sustainable solutions to enhance the quality of health services. Using a mixed-method approach (qualitative and quantitative), data were collected through semi-structured interviews with experts and a review of credible scientific sources. The findings indicate that a lack of healthcare infrastructure, a shortage of specialized human resources, and management issues are among the primary challenges facing Afghanistan's healthcare system. Additionally, opportunities such as international support and utilizing modern technologies in healthcare have been identified. The study concludes that investment in infrastructure, human resource training, and strengthening international collaborations is essential to improve the healthcare situation in Afghanistan.
