Abstract

This Community Service activity focuses on the digitalization of village administration in Waiheru Village, Baguala District, Ambon City, to enhance public service efficiency. Through digitalization, village administrative processes are expected to become faster, more transparent, and more accurate. The implementation of digital systems enables the community to access public services online, reducing reliance on manual systems that are slow and prone to data errors. However, the digitalization process faces several challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy among village officials, and the digital divide within the community. Proposed solutions include digital literacy training, technological infrastructure enhancement, and public outreach initiatives. The expected outcomes include increased community participation in public services, improved accountability, and greater transparency at the village level. This digitalization effort is envisioned as a model for other villages, fostering a more efficient and responsive village governance system that meets the needs of its residents.

Abstract

Education is currently experiencing a decline due to the frequent imbalance between general education and religious education, especially Islamic religion, resulting in the emergence of educational dichotomy. This research was made with the aim of examining and understanding the dichotomy problems that occur in Indonesia. The type of research used is qualitative using literature review, while the method used is the documentation method. So it can be explained that the dichotomy of education is a problem that is considered quite complicated because the dichotomy of education that is now happening in Indonesia has spread to various educational sectors. The historical roots of this dichotomy began with the entry of Dutch colonizers into Indonesia and changed the existing education system. On the basis of these problems, a solution is needed to overcome the dichotomy of education. The integral and integrated principle is the right solution in overcoming this problem, which with this principle can provide harmony between religious and general sciences.

Abstract

The public service standards outreach program in Ohoi Faan, Kei Kecil Subdistrict, Southeast Maluku Regency, aims to improve service quality for the community in line with excellent service principles. These standards include transparency, accountability, responsiveness, fairness, and effectiveness. Transparency emphasizes the importance of the village office providing clear, accessible, and open information, such as the types of services, process flow, and the rights and responsibilities of the public. It ensures the community understands the services they receive. Accountability requires service providers to take responsibility for their actions and decisions, adhere to established procedures, prevent discrimination, and maintain integrity. Responsiveness demands that staff respond promptly and appropriately to community requests and complaints, enhancing public satisfaction by meeting their needs efficiently. Fairness ensures that all residents receive equal services without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or social status, fostering social justice. Effectiveness and efficiency focus on optimizing resources to deliver quality services while saving time and costs for both service providers and recipients. The outreach program also encourages active community participation in evaluating services by providing constructive feedback and suggestions. Service providers are expected to respond positively to feedback to achieve continuous improvement. By understanding public service standards, village officials can deliver services more professionally and responsibly, while the community feels valued and gains greater trust in the local government. This outreach initiative strengthens the relationship between the government and the community, creating a better service environment.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of community-based development (CBD) initiatives in rural Afghanistan, focusing on the National Solidarity Program (NSP) and the Citizens' Charter National Priority Program (CCNPP). These programs, designed to empower rural communities through participatory decision-making and infrastructure development, have played a critical role in post-conflict reconstruction. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research combines quantitative data from surveys and program reports with qualitative insights from interviews and focus groups to assess the programs' impacts, challenges, and sustainability. Key findings reveal that while the NSP and CCNPP have significantly improved access to basic services and fostered community participation, they face persistent challenges such as fragmented social structures, security constraints, and gender disparities. The study highlights the importance of context-specific approaches, enhanced local governance capacities, and greater gender inclusion to ensure equitable and sustainable outcomes. Additionally, the study addresses the implications of recent political changes, including the Taliban's return to power, on the future of CBD initiatives in Afghanistan. By providing a comprehensive analysis of the NSP and CCNPP, this research contributes to the broader understanding of CBD in conflict-affected settings and offers actionable recommendations for policymakers and development practitioners. The findings underscore the need for adaptive strategies that address Afghanistan's unique socio-political dynamics, ensuring that future CBD programs are more inclusive, resilient, and effective.

Abstract

This community service program discusses a bullying prevention program at an Elementary School in Peguyangan Kaja Village, Denpasar, which aims to increase students, teachers, and parents' awareness of the negative impacts of bullying on child development. Bullying can damage mental and social health, so it requires comprehensive educational intervention. The program successfully increased students' understanding of bullying from 45% to 85% through interactive approaches such as simulations and role-playing. Parent and teacher involvement was also strengthened through training that provided insight into how to detect and handle bullying situations. In addition, one school successfully developed a clear anti-bullying policy, including reporting and handling mechanisms. Although the program showed positive results, there were still challenges, such as students' perceptions of joking as bullying and parents' limited time to get involved. Therefore, ongoing support is needed from all parties to create a safe and harmonious learning environment. This program proves the importance of collaboration between schools, families, and the community in addressing bullying problems for optimal child development. Through ongoing education, it is hoped that bullying can be reduced and students' characters can be formed positively.

Abstract

Public service is an important aspect of the government system that aims to effectively, efficiently, and transparently meet the community's needs. The Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), an institution under the Ministry of Religion, is central to providing religious services, including marriage administration, religious guidance, and family consultation. This study aims to evaluate the quality of service at the KUA Arungkeke District based on the SERVQUAL theory approach, which includes five dimensions: physical evidence, reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study results indicate that services at the KUA Arungkeke District have generally run well, as seen by adequate facilities, employee responsiveness, and friendly and professional attitudes toward serving the community. However, several obstacles affect the quality of service, such as limited administrative equipment, delays in issuing marriage certificates due to incomplete files, and a Lack of public understanding of service procedures. However, driving factors like comfortable service spaces, reliable administrative procedures, and information transparency also increase public trust and satisfaction with the services provided. This research is expected to be used as evaluation material for the Arungkeke District KUA and provide recommendations for improving the quality of public services in the religious sector.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted to support the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), specifically Anasera, a beaded accessory craft business located in Tabanan Regency, Bali. Anasera sells its handmade products through offline art shops in the Tanah Lot tourist area but faces challenges in product design innovation and lacks an effective digital marketing strategy. These limitations reduce the business's ability to compete and grow, especially in the increasingly digital marketplace. The program focused on two main areas: (1) improving product design by providing training on color composition, trend adaptation, and uniqueness in handmade accessories, and (2) enhancing digital marketing skills through workshops on content creation, the use of social media platforms, and basic e-commerce management. After the implementation, Anasera demonstrated improved product presentation, created engaging promotional content, and began utilizing digital platforms to reach a wider audience. This initiative highlights the importance of combining creative design development with digital marketing to empower local MSMEs, particularly in tourism-driven areas, to improve their sustainability and competitiveness in both offline and online markets.

Abstract

Gold mining also affects the education sector of local children, one of which is Lele Village, located in Lolong Guba Sub-district, Buru Regency. This problem is presented through qualitative research with descriptive methods that aim to describe the conditions and situations related to the impact of waste gold mining in Lele Village. The analytical methods used are participatory problem analysis and stakeholder analysis. The waste of gold mining in Lele Village is significant enough to affect the community's income. However, the impact on education can be that children experience a setback because children who participate in work tend to ignore school. When faced with economic problems, they have no choice, especially since working in this waste gold mine is quick to make money. Therefore, it requires the attention of the local government as well as indigenous peoples to care about resolving the phenomenon of children working in mining areas, as well as school-age people who do not continue their education.
