Abstract

Research has been carried out "Description of the Quality of Liquid Smoke from Pyrolysisof Coconut Shell with Continuous Air Flow Method". This study aims to describe the quality ofthe results of the separation of coconut shell liquid smoke by filtration and distillationmethods. The liquid smoke used is 600 mL which has a pH value of 2.99, acetic acid contentof 2.48% and a total phenol content of 3.16% which is filtered to produce a pH value of 2.98,acetic acid content of 2.5% with phenol content. a total of 4.03% then followed by distillationas much as 350 mL and obtained a distillate with a pH value of 2.96. The method used todetermine the acetic acid content of the liquid smoke distillate was the titration method andthe total phenol content was determined by the Folin-Ciocalteu method. Liquid smokedistillate has an acetic acid content of 2.51% with a total phenol content of 4.91%.

Abstract

Research has been carried out with the title "Analysis of the Nutrient Content of Noodles from a Mixture of Kano Bulb Flour (Dioscorea alata L.) and Seaweed Flour (Eucheuma Spinosum) from Wakatobi". This study aims to make noodles from a mixture of canoe tuber flour and seaweed flour by knowing the ratio composition of the best noodle raw materials and to determine the nutritional content of noodles, both fat, ash, and water. The samples of this study were canoe tubers (Dioscorea alata L) and seaweed (Eucheuma spinosum). This research was conducted using proximate and organoleptic analysi methods. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the noodles were made with several types of comparisons of canoe tuber raw materials and seaweed flour, namely 95:5, 90:10, 85:15, 80:20, and 75:25. Noodles made with various comparisons were then carried out organoleptic tests with the results of hedonic test analysis from 20 panelists of noodles with the best quality being noodles with a ratio of 95:5. The results of the analysis of the nutritional content of noodles from the best organoleptic analysis are 95:5, dry noodles contain water of 4.19% and wet noodles have water and fiber contentof 35.44 % and 11,58%.

Abstract

Research on the Antiradical Activity of DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil) Combination of Javanese Wood Leaf (Lannea coromandelica Hout Merr) and Salam Leaf (Syzygium polianthum Wight) infusion has been carried out. This study aims to determine the comparison of the combination of steeping DKJ and DS powder which shows antioxidant activity close to 50% and to determine the optimal concentration of the combination of steeping DKJ and DS in counteracting DPPH radicals. The antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method. The combination of DKJ and DS steeping powders that showed antioxidant activity close to 50% was in the ratios A3, A4, A5, A6, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6, F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 and F6 from 36 combinations.

Abstract

Total Phenol and Antioxidant Activity Of Soni Skin Steeping Extract (Dillenia serrata Thunb). This study aims to find out phenolic levels and antioxidant activity of Soni Stem Skin Steeping (Dillenia serrata Thunb). The total levels of phenolics contained in soni stem skin steeping are determined by the reagent folin cioelteau, sodium carbonate with gallic acid as a comparison, while its antioxidant activity with the DPPH method. The skin of the soni stem used is the skin of the dried soni stem that has been smoothed. As much as 20 g of soni stem bark powder brewed with hot water dispenser, brewing is done 3 times with the first brewing volume of 80 mL, secondly 60 mL, last 20 mL using solvents sourced from the dispenser. Powder extract from steeping the skin of the soni stem is then collected so that the volume of the soni stem steeping sample is obtained as much as 150 mL. Extract results in steeping of soni stem skin, determined by total phenolic level and antioxidant activity. The total phenolic level of stem skin is 17.06 AGE/gram. Soni bark steeping extract has very weak antioxidant activity with IC50 value of 2,377,5925 ± 0.2031 ppm.

Abstract

Research on Phytochemicals and Antiradical Activities of DPPH Stew of Javanese Wood Leaves (Lannea coromandelica) has been carried out. This study aims to determine thephytochemical description of the infusionof Javanese leaves (L. coromandelica), todetermine the operating time in determining the anti-radical activity of the infusion of Javanese leaves (L. coromandelica) and the description of the anti-radical activity of DPPH steeped of Javanese leaves (L. coromandelica). The method used to test the secondary metabolites of Javanese wood leaves are phytochemicals and antiradical with the DPPH method. Javanese wood leaves used are dried Javanese wood leaves that have been mashed. A total of 5 g of Javanese wood leaves were brewed with 3 repetitions with gallon water as solvent. The extracts were then tested for phytochemicals and antiradical. The results of the phytochemical test showed that the steeped extract of the leaves of Java wood contained saponins, flavonoids and polyphenols. Operating Time results show 30 minutes. The steeping extract of Javanese wood leaves has a very weak antiradical with an IC50 value of 408, 95 ± 0.0752 ppm.

Abstract

Toxicity Test of Soni (Dillenia serrata Thunb) Bark Bark Ethanol Extract has been conducted using the BSLT (Brine Shrimph Lethality Test) Method. This study aims to determine the toxicity of the Soni (Dillenia serrata Thunb) Bark Ethanol Extract extract. The secondary metabolites contained in the ethanol extract of Batang Soni Bark were determined by the phytochemical method, while the toxicity of the extract was determined by the BSLT method. Soni bark used is dry soni bark that has been mashed. A total of 500 g of soni bark was macerated for 3x24 hours with 96% ethanol solvent that had been distilled. The filtrate was then collected and concentrated to obtain a thick extract of 80.05 g. Soni bark ethanol extract was tested for phytochemical and toxicity. Phytochemical test results showed that the ethanolic extract of soni bark contains flavonoids, steroids, triterpenoids, polyphenols, and tannins. Soni bark ethanol extract has a very strong toxicity with an LC50 value of 18.62 ppm

Abstract

Sintesis metil ester sulfonat (MES) dari minyak biji mahoni (Swietenia macrophylla K.) menggunakan reagen natrium bisulfit (NaHSO3) telah berhasil dilakukan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase hasil MES, karakteristik MES, hasil identifikasi MES menggunakan spektrofotometer FTIR.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sokletasi untuk mengekstrak minyak. Minyak mahoni murni diesterifikasi menggunakan metanol dengan perbandingan mol minyak:metanol (1:6). Langkah selanjutnya yaitu transesterifikasi menggunakan metanol dengan perbandingan mol (1:15) memberikan persen hasil sebesar 57,89%. Metil ester disulfonasi dengan NaHSO3 PA dengan rasio mol 1:1,5 selama 4,5 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persen hasil MES sebesar 52,27%, stabilitas emulsi sebesar 77,5% dan densitas rata- rata sebesar 1,1g/mL. Karakterisasi MES menggunakan spektrofotometer FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus O-H, S=O dan gugus S-O pada bilangan gelombang 3464,15cm-1; 1172,72 cm-1; 840,96 cm-1 dan 725,23 cm-1.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa praktikan terhadap kualitas penyelenggaran praktikum di laboratorium unit kimia dasar Universitas Halu Oleo tahun 2021. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan angket yang memuat 12 pertanyaan dengan maksud untuk mengamati respon terhadap aspek layanan yang meliputi prosedur praktikum, pelayanan asisten secara keseluruhan, kondusifitas penyelenggaran praktikum di laboratorium, video praktikum saat praktikum dilaksanakan online serta ketersediaan alat dan bahan di laboratorium. Angket sendiri mengukur persepsi mahasiswa yang kemudian dinyatakan dalam skala likert dengan persepsi paling tinggi diberi nilai 4 dan persepsi paling rendah dinilai 1. Hasil angket lalu dianalisis dengan CSindeks. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan dua aspek layanan yakni prosedur praktikum serta ketersediaan alat dan bahan di laboratorium yang mendapatkan respon berturut-turut 50,91dan 55,95 masuk kategori sangat rendah. Dua aspek lainnya yakni pelayanan asisten dan kondusifitas di laboratorium mendapatkan respon berturut-turut 83,18 dan 82,26 termasuk katergori memuaskan. Sementara itu, respon terhadap video praktikum saat praktikum dilaksanakan online mendapatkan persepsi luar biasa yaitu respon positif sebesar 90,38. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan praktikum kimia dasar masih memerlukan pembenahan khususnya dalam hal pengadaan alat dan bahan. Adapun prosedur praktikum diketahui mendapatkan respon rendah karena sebagian praktikum dilaksanakan on-line.

Abstract

Research on Phytochemicals and Antiradical Activities of DPPH infusion of Salam Leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) has been carried out. This study aims to determine the phytochemical description of infusion of bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight), to determine the operating time in determining the antiradical activity of infusion of bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) and to describe the anti-radical activity of DPPH steeped bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight). The methods used to test the secondary metabolites of bay leaf are phytochemical and anti-radical test with DPPH. A total of 5 grams of bay leaves were then extracted by infusion method with 3 repetitions in a row using water as a solvent. The filtering results were collected and the volume of bay leaf steeping was 90 mL with the extracted sample concentration of 1,264,835 ppm. The extract was then tested for Phytochemical, operating time test and anti-radical test. The results of the phytochemical test showed that the infusion of bay leaves contained flavonoids, saponins, tannins and polyphenols. The operating time test results showed that the time for the active compound in the sample and the DPPH radical to interact perfectly was at 30 minutes which gave a stable absorbance of 0.449. The results of the antioxidant activity test using the DPPH method showed that the infusion of bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum Wigh) was classified as very weak with an IC50 value of 259.058 ppm.

Abstract

Research Description of the Quality of the Final Semester Exam Questions for the 2019/2020 Academic Year for Chemistry Subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Wakorumba Selatan. This research was conducted to determine the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, discriminatory power, standard error of measurement, distribution of questions based on language subjects and learning indicators, and level of difficulty based on Bloom's taxonomy, in the odd semester class X chemistry subjects. The object of research includes all items and a list of grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Wakorumba Selatan who have taken the 2019/2020 end of the odd semester test with a total of 78 students. The data collected by the documentation technique that will be analyzed are (1) the 2019/2020 Odd Semester Final Test Questions, the validity of the items is 100% valid with 0.1876 > 0.8843; (2) The reliability coefficient is in the range of r11 = 0.90 r < 1.00 (3) The level of difficulty is in the range of 0.58 – 1.00 which is classified as moderate; (4) 0.43 < DB 0.62 ie 4 items and 3 items between 0.32 < DB 0.40 (enough); (5) The results of the measurement standard error with a value of 0.98, thus all items have moderate or sufficient quality; (6) The distribution of questions contains 3 questions that are not appropriate in the subject matter and learning indicators in the RPP Class X Chemistry subject for the 2019/2020 Academic Year of SMA Negeri 1 Wakorumba Selatan; and (7) The difficulty level based on bloom's taxonomy consists of C1=20%, C2=15%, and C3=15%.
