Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to insulin secretion, insulin action or both. This disease is a disease that is widely suffered by the community and continues to grow in Indonesia. Periodontal disease is a dental and oral health problem that has a fairly high prevalence in the community where periodontal disease occurs in all age groups in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine periodontal disease in patients with diabetes mellitus at the Bara-Barayya Health Center. This type of research is a descriptive study with a sample of 60 people taken using the total sampling technique. Samples were examined using the gingival index and CPITN index assessment criteria. The results showed that those who experienced periodontitis with a score of 4 were the highest, namely 18 people (44%), and subjects who experienced a score of 2 were the fewest, namely 8 people (19.5%). While those who experienced gingivitis were the highest, namely severe gingivitis, as many as 10 people (52.6%) and the fewest were those who experienced mild gingivitis, as many as 5 people (26.3%). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the most common periodontal disease found in diabetes mellitus patients at the Bara-Barayya Health Center is periodontitis, namely 41 people (68.3%) and the least is gingivitis, namely 19 people (31.7%).

Abstract

Sectio caesarea is an artificial birth that is carried out by making an incision in the abdominal wall and uterine wall. After a caesarean section operation, the mother will feel pain and have an impact that will limit the mother's mobility. One way of non-pharmacological management to reduce post-cesarean section pain is by doing endorphin massage. To determine the results of the implementation of endorphin massage on the level of pain in post partum mothers with a history of caesarean section delivery in the Cempaka ward of RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen. This research is a descriptive study in the form of a case study which was carried out on 2 respondents who were mothers post caesarean section by doing endorphin massage for 3 consecutive days with a frequency of 1x a day for 20 minutes. The assessment of the pain scale for the two mothers post sectio caesarea on the first day was on a moderate pain scale and on the third day after implementing endorphin massage, the respondents' pain scale decreased to a mild pain scale. There was a decrease in pain levels before and after endorphin massage was given to mothers post caesarean section in the Cempaka RSUD dr Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen.

Abstract

Hypertension is a Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) characterized by elevated blood pressure above the normal value of 140/90 mmHg. Evaluation of antihypertensive drug use aims to ensure rational and effective medication use in hypertensive patients. Improper medication use can lead to treatment failure. The objective of this study is to evaluate the pattern of antihypertensive treatment among hypertensive outpatients at the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) of Sumberlawang Sub-District, Sragen in 2023. The research was descriptive observational with a cross-sectional study design. Sample selection used purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instrument for this study utilized medical records data of hypertensive outpatients at the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) Sumberlawang, Sragen from January to December 2023. Results from the study involving 100 hypertensive patients showed that the majority were female (78%), aged between 51-61 years (40%), with amlodipine being the most frequently used antihypertensive medication (62%), and Calcium Channel Blockers being the most commonly prescribed class of antihypertensive drugs (60%). Evaluation of antihypertensive treatment patterns among 100 patients revealed percentages indicating appropriate indication (100%), patient suitability (100%), correct drug selection (97%), and correct dosage (97%).

Abstract

Work motivation is the desire or desire that influences nurses' behavior in order to improve performance. There are several factors related to the work motivation of inpatient nurses at Tanjungpinang City Regional Hospital, namely responsibility, recognition, achievement, working environment conditions, interpersonal relationships and supervision. This research was conducted in the inpatient room of Tanjungpinang City Hospital, Riau Islands Province. The type of research used is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all inpatient nurses at the Tanjungpinang City Regional Hospital, namely 85 people and the number of samples in this study was 85 respondents using a total sampling technique. The statistical test used is the chi square test. The results of the research show that what influences work motivation are: Responsibility 98.87 Recognition 80.7 Achievement 83.59 Work environment conditions 51.87 Interpersonal relationships 97.64 Supervision 89.49. The results of statistical tests formulate a relationship between motivation and: Responsibility, the P value is 0.353. Achievement of P value recognition P value 0.028. Interpersonal relationships P value 0.547. Working environmental conditions P value 0.521. Supervision P value 0.334. It is hoped that the results of this research can increase the work motivation of nurses at the Tanjungpinang City Hospital.

Abstract

Background: Postpartum hemorrhage is the main cause of maternal death in both developed and underdeveloped countries, followed by hypertension and infection. The decline in. Reducing maternal mortality must be carried out by implemnting SDGS, which is one of the targets that will be achieved. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of oxytocin injection in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. Methods: This type of research is a descriptive study using a retrospective case control study design that aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of oxytocin injection in the treatment of post partum bleeding at Latersia Hospital Binjai District Binjai, Binjai City North Sumatra Province In 2024. part of the entire object under study and is considered to represent the entire population. In other words, the elements of the population are selected based on their ability to represent them (Setiadi 2016). This sampling uses a total sampling of 30 people. Data collection techniques use questionnaire sheets and respondent observation sheets. The data analysis technique used the Mann Whitney Test. Results: Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney test, it was obtained that p-value was 0.000 because p-value <0.05, it can be concluded that oxytocin injection is more effective in handling Post Partum Bleeding compared to no injection. Abstract

Appendicitis is inflammation that occurs in the Appendix vermicularis where Appendicitis generally occurs due to an inflammatory process of bacteria. This disease is the most common acute abdominal surgical case. Appendicitis can affect all age groups, 16-year-old female patients with complaints of lower right abdominal pain since 2 days ago. The patient was diagnosed with Acute Appendicitis. The procedure is in the form of surgery, namely Appendectomy. The most common complication found in acute appendicitis is appendiceal perforation, either in the form of free perforation or perforation in the appendix which has been affected (infiltrates) in the form of a mass consisting of a collection of appendices, cecum and small intestine. If a perforation has occurred, then the possibility of peritonitis.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a condition where systolic blood pressure exceeds 140 mmHg and/or diastolic pressure exceeds 90 mmHg. One non-pharmacological method to reduce blood pressure is the recitation of Quranic verses. Method: The method used in this research is quantitative, employing a case study approach by comparing pretest and posttest results. Objective: This study aims to describe the effectiveness of murottal therapy in reducing blood pressure in clients with hypertension. Results: The application of Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman murottal therapy for 11 minutes at a volume of 41-60 dB on two respondents showed a decrease in blood pressure from 161/94 mmHg and 164/100 mmHg to 140/85 mmHg and 145/90 mmHg, respectively. This study discusses an intervention focused on auditory therapy. Conclusion: There is a reduction in blood pressure following the application of Al-Qur’an Surah Ar-Rahman murottal therapy.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by increased blood glucose (hyperglycemia). The aim of the case study is to describe the application of jogging to reduce fasting blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The research used descriptive research with jogging carried out 3 times during 3 consecutive days for 30 minutes by checking fasting blood sugar before and after jogging. Researchers used 2 clients whose inclusion did not have dangerous diseases such as heart disease, kidney failure, asthma. Have a history of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for more than 2 years, age more than 45 years, no diabetes mellitus wounds on the legs, fasting blood sugar measurement results before the procedure 126mg/dl – 200mg/dl. Subject 1's results from measuring pre-test fasting blood sugar levels were 175 mg/dl and post-test results were 166 mg/dl. The results of subject 2 from measuring pre-test fasting blood sugar levels were 134 mg/dl, and the post-test results were 127 mg/dl, the results of both subjects experienced a significant decrease in fasting blood sugar levels. The results of this case study are the basis for further case studies, especially those related to jogging or other physical activities for people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Background: The elderly are more likely to suffer from gout with symptoms of pain and swelling in the joints. Pain that is not handled properly can trigger a prolonged stress response, which will reduce the body's resistance. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be given to gout sufferers is a warm compress from Moringa leaves. Warm compresses from Moringa leaves are a technique for applying compresses to joint areas that experience pain due to gout. Objective: To determine the results of differences in pain intensity before and after applying a warm Moringa leaf compress to Lanisa. Method: This research used a descriptive research design with a case study approach on 2 respondents in Pucangsawit Village, Jebres, Surakarta who experienced joint pain due to gout, carried out once every morning for 3 consecutive days within 20 minutes. Results: there was a decrease in the intensity of gout pain after giving therapy to Mrs. Y from a pain scale of 6 to a pain scale of 3 and in Mrs. M from a pain scale of 5 to a pain scale of 2. Conclusion: the application showed that after applying a warm compress on Moringa leaves there was a change in the intensity of pain in both respondents.

Abstract

Background: Elderly is an aging process with increasing age which is characterized by a decrease in the ability of organ functions and an increase in the loss of active tissue, which makes the body more susceptible to various types of diseases. One of the diseases that elderly people often suffer from is hypertension or high blood pressure. One non-pharmacological treatment that can be done is the foot reflexology massage method..Purpose: To describe the results of comparing blood pressure before and after applying the foot reflexology massage method to elderly hypertensive people. Method: his study used a descriptive design on 2 elderly respondents with hypertension, which was carried out 3x a week with a frequency of 1x a day for 15-20 minutes. Results: There was a decrease in blood pressure after applying the foot reflexology massage method to Mrs. Y went from stage I hypertension to still being in the stage I hypertension category but has experienced a decline and Mrs. S from stage II hypertension to stage I hypertension.. Conclusion: Application of the foot reflexology massage method can reduce blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension.
