Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pemberian tepung daun kelor yang dikombinasikan dengan enzim Non-Starch Polysaccharides (NSP) memengaruhi tingkat konsumsi pakan harian serta produksi massa telur puyuh. Studi ini berlangsung selama 45 hari di Poncokusumo, Kabupaten Malang bertujuan menguji kelayakan kelor sebagai bahan pakan alternatif untuk menggantikan ransum komersial (basal). Studi ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RALF) yang terdiri dari dua faktor perlakuan, yaitu 2 jenis daun kelor (daun kelor utuh dan pucuk 5 teratas daun kelor) serta dosis enzim NSP (0 unit, 5.000 unit/g, dan 50.000 unit/g) yang dianalisis menggunakan uji F (ANOVA) Kemudian dilanjutkan Uji Duncan jika terdapat pengaruh.  Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara jenis daun kelor dan dosis enzim memberikan pengaruh yang sangat signifikan (P < 0,01) terhadap konsumsi pakan dan produksi telur. Serat kasar dan enzim NSP yang tinggi pada daun utuh menghambat penyerapan nutrisi, sehingga massa telur yang dihasilkan menurun. Sebaliknya, kombinasi antara pucuk daun kelor dan enzim NSP pada ransum terbukti lebih efektif. Formulasi ini mampu menekan laju konsumsi pakan harian namun secara bersamaan meningkatkan produksi massa telur mendekati hasil dari ransum basal. Pucuk daun kelor yang diproses dengan penambahan enzim NSP merupakan kandidat kuat pengganti ransum basal. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa dalam penggunaan kelor sebagai pakan unggas, pemilihan bagian tanaman dan strategi pengolahan (seperti suplementasi enzim) sangat menentukan efisiensi produksi dan keberlanjutan usaha peternakan sehingga mendukung sistem produksi unggas yang lebih efisien dan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci : Daun kelor, Enzim NSP, Konsumsi pakan harian, Produksi massa telur, Coturnix coturnix                japonica THE EFFECT OF ADDITION OF MORINGA OLIEFERA LEAVES WITH NON-STRATCH POLYSACHARIDES (NSP) ENZYME TREATMENT ON THE PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE OF COTURNIX-COTURNIX JAPONICA QUAIL EGG AbstractThis study was conducted to analyze how the administration of moringa leaf powder combined with the Non-Starch Polysaccharides (NSP) enzyme affects daily feed intake and egg production in quail. The study, conducted over 45 days in Poncokusumo, Malang Regency, aimed to test the feasibility of moringa as an alternative feed ingredient to replace commercial (basal) rations. The study used a factorial completely randomized design (RFRD) consisting of two treatment factors: two types of moringa leaves (whole moringa leaves and the top five shoots of the leaves) and the NSP enzyme dosage (0 units, 5,000 units/g, and 50,000 units/g). These factors were analyzed using the F-test (ANOVA), followed by a Duncan test if an effect was found. Data analysis showed that the interaction between the type of moringa leaf and the enzyme dosage had a highly significant effect (P < 0.01) on feed intake and egg production. The high crude fiber and NSP enzyme content in whole leaves inhibited nutrient absorption, resulting in decreased egg production.  In contrast, the combination of moringa leaf shoots and NSP enzyme in the ration proved more effective. This formulation was able to reduce daily feed consumption while simultaneously increasing egg mass production, approaching the results of the basal ration. Moringa leaf shoots processed with the addition of NSP enzyme are a strong candidate to replace the basal ration. These findings confirm that in the use of moringa as poultry feed, the selection of plant parts and processing strategies (such as enzyme supplementation) are crucial for production efficiency and the sustainability of the livestock business, thus supporting a more efficient and sustainable poultry production system. Keywords: Moringa leaves, NSP enzyme, daily feed intake, egg mass production, Coturnix coturnix japonica

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh umur, berat badan, dan skor eksterior terhadap harga jual kambing. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda untuk menguji pengaruh variabel independen terhadap harga jual kambing, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Data diperoleh dari observasi lapangan langsung dan wawancara dengan pedagang dan peternak kambing. Variabel yang dianalisis meliputi umur, berat badan, dan skor eksterior sebagai variabel independen, dan harga jual kambing sebagai variabel dependen. Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak Microsoft Excel dan SPSS. Sebelum analisis regresi, data diuji menggunakan uji asumsi klasik, termasuk uji normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan autokorelasi, untuk memastikan model regresi memenuhi kriteria kelayakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat badan dan skor eksterior berpengaruh signifikan terhadap harga jual kambing, sedangkan umur memiliki pengaruh yang relatif lebih kecil. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel tersebut berpengaruh terhadap harga jual kambing. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa harga jual kambing di Pasar Kabupaten Tegalsari dipengaruhi oleh faktor fisik—terutama berat badan sebagai faktor yang paling dominan—serta faktor pasar seperti jenis kelamin kambing, musim penjualan, dan saluran distribusi. Disarankan agar peternak meningkatkan bobot badan dan skor penampilan luar kambing serta memanfaatkan musim permintaan tinggi. Pedagang dan kolektor sebaiknya menerapkan penetapan harga yang lebih transparan menggunakan timbangan, sementara penelitian lebih lanjut dapat menambahkan variabel lain dan dilakukan di lokasi yang berbeda untuk hasil yang lebih komprehensif. kata kunci: harga jual kambing, bobot badan, umur kambing, skor eksterior. ANALYSIS OF FACTORS THAT AFFECT THE DETERMINATION OF THE SELLING PRICE OF GOATS IN TEGALSARI DISTRICT, BANYUWANGI REGENCY AbstrackThis study aims to analyze the effect of age, body weight, and exterior score on goat selling prices. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis to test the influence of independent variables on goat selling prices, both partially and simultaneously. Data were obtained from direct field observations and interviews with goat traders and breeders. The variables analyzed included age, body weight, and exterior score as independent variables, and goat selling price as the dependent variable. Data processing was performed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. Prior to the regression analysis, the data were tested using classical assumption tests, including normality, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests, to ensure the regression model met the eligibility criteria. The results showed that body weight and exterior score significantly influenced goat selling prices, while age had a relatively smaller effect. Simultaneously, all three variables influenced goat selling prices. The conclusion of this study states that goat selling prices in Tegalsari Regency Market are influenced by physical factors—especially body weight as the most dominant factor—as well as market factors such as goat sex, selling season, and distribution channels. It is recommended that breeders increase goat body weight and exterior appearance scores and take advantage of high demand seasons. Traders and collectors should implement more transparent pricing using scales, while further research can add other variables and be conducted in different locations for more comprehensive results.Keywords: goat selling price, body weight, goat age, exterior score.

Abstract

Natural Growth Promotor (NGP) menjadi trend penggunaannya pada broiler setelah ada pelarangan penggunaan Antibiotic Growtg Promotor (AGP). Bawang Dayak (Eleutherine bulbosa) merupakan tanaman herbal kandidat NGP. Penggunaan pada broiler non vaksin untuk memastikan potensi imunomodulator  sebagai NGP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi immunomodulator nanoherbal Bawang Dayak sebagai NGP terhadap aktivitas Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), kadar Malondialdehid (MDA), dan jumlah eritrosit broiler non vaksin. Metode penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 100 ekor broiler non vaksin. Perlakuan ada 5 yaitu P0 : kontrol negative ; P1: kontrol positif (broiler divaksin+vitamin) ; P2: pemberian nanoherbal bawang dayak 1% ; P3 : 2%; P4 : 3%. Masing-masing perlakuan mempunyai 4 ulangan. Perlakuan diberikan pada broiler umur 15 hari selama 21 hari. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dilanjutkan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Nanoherbal Bawang Dayak berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap aktivitas SOD, MDA, dan eritrosit. Aktivitas SOD tertinggi perlakuan P4 (26,11 ± 2,48 ng/ml), kadar MDA terendah pada P4 (6,45 ± 0,49 mmol/ml), dan jumlah eritrosit terendah pada P4 (6.35 ± 0.12× 10¹²/L). Kesimpulan adalah Nanoherbal Bawang dayak berpotensi sebagai NGP pada broiler non vaksin dengan dosis optimum yaitu 3%.Kata Kunci: Nanoherbal, Bawang Dayak, NGP, Broiler, Non VaksinTHE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE NATURAL GROWTH PROMOTER NANOHERBAL DAYAK ONION (Eleutherine bulbosa) ON SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE ACTIVITY, MALONDIALDEHYDE LEVELS, AND ERYTHROCYTES IN UNVACCINATED BROILERS AbstractNatural Growth Promoters (NGPs) have become increasingly popular in broiler production following the ban on Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGPs). Dayak Onion (Eleutherine bulbosa) is a candidate herbal plant for use as an NGP. Its use in unvaccinated broilers aims to assess its immunomodulatory potential as an NGP. This study aims to analyze the immunomodulatory potential of Dayak Onion nanoherbal extract as an NGP on Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) activity, Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, and red blood cell count in unvaccinated broilers. The research method was quantitative, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The study was conducted on 100 unvaccinated broilers. There were five treatments: P0: negative control; P1: positive control (vaccinated broilers + vitamins); P2: administration of 1% Dayak Onion nanoherbal; P3: 2%; P4: 3%. Each treatment had four replicates. The treatments were administered to 15-day-old broilers for 21 days. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by the BNT test. The results showed that the administration of Dayak Onion Nanoherbal had a highly significant effect (P<0.01) on SOD activity, MDA levels, and erythrocyte count. The highest SOD activity was observed in treatment P4 (26.11 ± 2.48 ng/ml), the lowest MDA level was in P4 (6.45 ± 0.49 mmol/ml), and the lowest erythrocyte count was in P4 (6.35 ± 0.12 × 10¹²/L). The conclusion is that Dayak Onion Nanoherbal has the potential as an NGP in non-vaccinated broilers at an optimal dose of 3%.Keywords: Nanoherbal, Dayak Onion, NGP, Broiler, Non-vaccinated

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh bobot albumin, nilai pH, dan indeks putih telur puyuh ketika diberi pakan tepung pucuk daun kelor yang disuplementasi dengan enzim NSP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah penambahan tepung pucuk daun kelor dalam pakan, dan faktor kedua adalah penambahan enzim NSP pada pakan. Riset ini menggunakan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, dimana terdapat lima ekor ternak percobaan pada setiap perlakuan. Berat albumin, nilai pH, dan indeks putih telur puyuh merupakan variabel yang diamati. Analisyst of Variance (ANOVA) digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Jika hasilnya berpengaruh nyata, Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) digunakan untuk investigasi lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bobot albumin dan indeks putih telur berpengaruh nyata (P <0,05) oleh penambahan tepung pucuk daun kelor. Tidak ditemukan dampak signifikan (P>0,05) pada bobot albumin, nilai pH, dan indeks putih telur ketika enzim NSP ditambahkan sendiri atau bersamaan dengan tepung pucuk daun kelor. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu pemberian tepung pucuk daun kelor sebesar 5%/kg pakan efektif meningkatkan bobot albumin dan indeks putih telur, namun penambahan enzim NSP sebesar 30g/kg pakan serta pakan kombinasi tidak memperbaiki bobot albumin, nilai pH, dan indeks putih telur. Kata Kunci : tepung pucuk daun kelor, enzim NSP, bobot albumin, nilai pH, indeks putih telur, burung puyuh  THE EFFECT OF MORINGA (MORINGA OLEIFERA) LEAF MEAL SUPPLEMENTED WITH NSP (NON-STARCH POLYSACCHARIDE) ENZYMES ON ALBUMEN WEIGHT, pH VALUE, AND EGG WHITE INDEX OF QUAIL EGGS AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of albumin weight, pH value, and egg white index of quail when fed kelor leaf shoot flour processed with NSP enzyme. This study used a RALF (Completely Randomized Factorial Design) experimental design. This experiment had four treatments and three replications, with five experimental animals in each treatment. The first factor was the addition of kelor leaf shoot flour in the feed, and the second factor was the addition of NSP enzyme in the feed. Albumin weight, pH value, and egg white index of quail were the characteristics observed. Investigation of Variance (ANOVA) was used to test the data. If the results were statistically significant, the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test was used for further investigation. The results of this study showed that albumin weight and egg white index were significantly affected (P <0.05) by the addition of kelor leaf shoot flour. No significant effect (P>0.05) was found on albumin weight, pH value, and egg white index when NSP enzyme was added alone or together with kelor leaf shoot flour. The conclusion of this study is that the administration of kelor leaf shoot flour at 5%/kg of feed effectively increases albumin weight and egg white index, but the addition of NSP enzyme at 30g/kg of feed and combination feed does not improve albumin weight, pH value, and egg white index.Keywords: moringa oleifera leaf meal, NSP enzymes, albumen weight, pH value, egg white index, quail

Abstract

Transportasi adalah faktor stres utama dalam manajemen produksi ayam broiler yang berpotensi menurunkan performa fisiologis dan menekan sistem imun melalui aktivasi poros Hypothalamic–Pituitary–Adrenal (HPA) serta peningkatan sekresi kortikosteron. Kondisi ini dapat memicu gangguan homeostasis, stres oksidatif, dan perubahan morfometri organ imunitas seperti limpa, timus, dan bursa Fabricius. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengaruh pemberian minuman isotonik alami terhadap bobot relatif organ imunitas broiler pasca transportasi sejauh 65 km. Materi penelitian adalah 75 ekor broiler umur 21 hari. Metode penelitian adalah ekperimental. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari P0 (air putih/kontrol), P1 (air gula merah 10 g/L), P2 (air garam 3 g/L), P3 (air kelapa 250 ml/L), dan P4 (Coconichick: campuran air gula merah, air garam, dan air kelapa).  Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dengan 5%. Variabel yang diukur adalah bobot limpa, timus, dan bursa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian minuman isotonik air gula merah, air kelapa dan coconichik berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot relatif limpa, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot relatif timus dan bursa fabricius. Rata rata bobot (g) limpa adalah perlakuan kontrol 0.20± 0.08 b, air gula 0.10± 0.00 a, air garam 0.16± 0.02 a, air kelapa 0.07± 0.02 a, coconichik 0.08± 0.02 a. Rata rata bobot (g) timus pada perlakuan  kontrol 0.21±0.08, air gula 0.21±0.00, air garam 0.17± 0.01, air kelapa 0.20± 0.03, dan coconichik 0.23± 0.01. Sedangkan rata rata bobot (g) bursa pada perlakuan kontrol 0.11± 0.03, air gula 0.10± 0.00, air garam 0.11± 0.00, air kelapa 0.10± 0.01 dan coconichik 0.10± 0.01. Kesimpulan adalah minuman isotonik alami air kelapa dan coconichick efektif dalam membantu pemulihan organ imun limpa pasca transportasi berdasarkan penurunan bobot organ.Kata Kunci : broiler, stres transportasi, minuman isotonik, organ imunitas. THE EFFECT OF ISOTONIC DRINK PROVISION ON BROILER IMMUNITY ORGANS POST-TRANSPORTATION AbstractTransportation was a major stress factor in broiler chicken production management because it had the potential to reduce physiological performance and suppress the immune system through activation of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis and increased corticosterone secretion. This condition triggered homeostasis disorders, oxidative stress, and morphometric changes in immune organs such as the spleen, thymus, and bursa of Fabricius. This study aimed to analyze the effect of natural isotonic drinks on the relative weight of broiler immune organs after 65 km of transportation. The study used 75 broilers aged 21 days. The research method was experimental and the design used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (water/control), P1 (brown sugar water 10 g/L), P2 (salt water 3 g/L), P3 (coconut water 250 ml/L), and P4 (Coconichik a mixture consisting of brown sugar solution, salt solution and coconut water). Data were analyzed using ANOVA at a 5% significance level. The variables measured were the relative weights of the spleen, thymus, and bursa of Fabricius. The results showed that the administration of brown sugar water, coconut water, and Coconichick had a significant effect (P<0.05) on spleen weight, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on thymus and bursa of Fabricius weights. The average spleen weight (g) was 0.20±0.08 in the control treatment, 0.10±0.00 in the brown sugar water treatment, 0.16±0.02 in the salt water treatment, 0.07±0.02 in the coconut water treatment, and 0.08±0.02 in the Coconichick treatment. The average thymus weight (g) was 0.21±0.08 in the control treatment, 0.21±0.00 in the brown sugar water treatment, 0.17±0.01 in the salt water treatment, 0.20±0.03 in the coconut water treatment, and 0.23±0.01 in the Coconichick treatment. The average bursa weight (g) was 0.11±0.03 in the control treatment, 0.10±0.00 in the brown sugar water treatment, 0.11±0.00 in the salt water treatment, 0.10±0.01 in the coconut water treatment, and 0.10±0.01 in the Coconichick treatment.Keywords: broiler, transportation stress, isotonic drinks, immune organ.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan minyak Hermetia tersuplementasi Selenium dalam ransum terhadap analisis ekonomi pemeliharaan Broiler. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental kuantitatif dengan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial (RALF) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yaitu M0S0 (ransum tanpa minyak Hermetia dan tanpa Selenium), M0S1 (ransum tanpa minyak Hermetia dengan suplementasi Selenium), M1S0 (ransum dengan minyak Hermetia tanpa Selenium), dan M1S1 (ransum dengan minyak Hermetia tersuplementasi Selenium), dengan setiap ulangan menggunakan 5 ekor Broiler. Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini meliputi Total Variabel Cost (TVC), Total Fixed Cost (TFC), Total Cost (TC), Pendapatan, Keuntungan, dan Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap TVC, TC, pendapatan, dan keuntungan, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap TFC. Perlakuan M1S1 (ransum dengan minyak Hermetia tersuplementasi Selenium) menghasilkan nilai pendapatan dan keuntungan tertinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan minyak Hermetia yang dikombinasikan dengan suplementasi Selenium dalam ransum mampu meningkatkan efisiensi ekonomi pada usaha pemeliharaan Broiler. Kata Kunci : Broiler, Minyak Hermetia, Selenium, Analisis Ekonomi. ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF BROILER CHICKEN FARMING THROUGH THE USE OF HERMETIA BASED FEED SUPPLEMENTED WITH SELENIUMAbstractThis study aimed to evaluate the effect of Hermetia oil supplemented with selenium in the diet on the economic performance of broiler production. A quantitative experimental method was applied using a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (CRFD) consisting of four treatments and three replications: M0S0 (diet without Hermetia oil and selenium), M0S1 (diet without Hermetia oil with selenium supplementation), M1S0 (diet with Hermetia oil without selenium), and M1S1 (diet with Hermetia oil supplemented with selenium). Each replication consisted of five broilers. The observed variables included Total Variable Cost (TVC), Total Fixed Cost (TFC), Total Cost (TC), revenue, profit, and Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). The results indicated that the treatments had a highly significant effect (P < 0.01) on TVC, TC, revenue, and profit, but no significant effect on TFC. The M1S1 treatment resulted in the highest revenue and profit among all treatments. These findings suggest that the inclusion of Hermetia oil combined with selenium supplementation in the diet improves the economic efficiency of broiler production. Keywords: Broiler chickens, Hermetia Oil, Selenium, Economic analysis, Business profitability.
