Abstract

Child-friendly education is a crucial approach in primary education aimed at creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that respects children’s rights and encourages their active participation. Primary schools play a strategic role as the foundational stage of formal education in shaping students’ cognitive, social, and emotional development. However, despite its growing recognition, the implementation of child-friendly education in primary schools continues to face various challenges at both policy and practice levels. This article aims to systematically examine the challenges of implementing child-friendly education within a global context, particularly at the primary school level. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by analyzing peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2015 and 2025 and indexed in relevant academic databases. The review process involved the application of clear inclusion and exclusion criteria, systematic literature searches using predefined keywords, and thematic synthesis of research findings. The results indicate that the major challenges in implementing child-friendly education include inadequate supporting facilities and infrastructure, limited teachers’ understanding and competencies regarding child-friendly education principles, weak policy implementation and monitoring, and insufficient parental and community involvement. Furthermore, the persistence of violence and bullying in school environments suggests that child-friendly education has not been optimally implemented. This study is expected to contribute both theoretically and practically by providing a comprehensive understanding of the existing challenges and offering insights for policymakers, educators, and stakeholders to strengthen the sustainable implementation of child-friendly education in primary schools. Abstract

The quality of a country's human resources is largely determined by its basic education. Each nation establishes an educational system that is specific to its unique social, cultural, and national political environment. Although Indonesia is still working on educational reforms to enhance the quality of learning at the foundational level, Finland is well-known throughout the world for having one of the greatest education systems. Through a literature review with a global viewpoint (Kemdikbud, 2020; Law No. 20 of 2003), this article aims to analyze and contrast the fundamental education systems in Finland and Indonesia. A number of variables will be contrasted, such as the curriculum, the role of instructors, instructional strategies, the learning environment, assessment procedures, and educational policy. According to the results of this research, the implementation of basic education in both nations is significantly impacted by differences in social context and policy. Indonesia continues to struggle with issues related to quality equity, curriculum load, and learning evaluation, whereas Finland prioritizes high-quality equity, trust in teachers, and student-centered learning. The goal of this research is to serve as a guide for the creation of fundamental education policy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Arabic is one of the essential languages within the context of Islamic education. However, student motivation to learn the language is often low due to the perception that Arabic is a difficult subject, coupled with learning methods that lack variety and tend to be conventional. This low motivation results in a lack of active participation, interest, and confidence among students in using Arabic orally. Therefore, a method capable of increasing motivation for learning Arabic is required. This study aims to enhance student motivation in learning Arabic through the Student Language Festival (SLF) using a creative and competitive approach. This study employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The respondents of this research are Al Azhar IIBS students participating in SLF activities. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive triangulation methods to determine the increase in student motivation. The results show that SLF strategies including creative content preparation, inter-class competitions, and digital technology integration significantly increased students' intrinsic motivation through enjoyable and collaborative learning experiences. Students reported an increase in self-confidence and a sustained interest in the Arabic language. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that SLF activities can enhance students' learning motivation in Arabic and can serve as an innovative and interactive alternative learning strategy.

Abstract

The Kanjuruhan Tragedy is one of the most devastating humanitarian incidents in the history of Indonesian football, resulting in significant loss of life and numerous injuries. This event not only caused physical harm but also deep psychological trauma for the victims and their families. This study aims to analyze how justice for victims is understood and implemented through a victimological perspective in handling the Kanjuruhan Tragedy case. The research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that the handling of this case still faces various challenges, particularly in fulfilling victims’ rights such as restitution, rehabilitation, and guarantees of non-repetition. A victimological perspective emphasizes the importance of placing victims at the center of the justice process (victim-centered justice), focusing not only on punishing perpetrators but also on the comprehensive recovery of victims. Therefore, more comprehensive efforts are required from the state and law enforcement authorities to ensure substantive justice for victims, including through policy reforms and more effective victim protection mechanisms.

Abstract

The rapid growth of information and communication technology has increased the use of social media, but it has also contributed to the rise of cybercrime, particularly online fraud. This study aims to analyze online fraud on social media from a victimological perspective and to examine legal protection for victims in Indonesia. The research uses a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results show that victims are often vulnerable due to low digital literacy, high trust in perpetrators, and lack of information verification. Victims experience both financial and psychological harm. Legal protection remains inadequate, as it focuses more on punishing offenders than restoring victims’ rights. Although regulations exist under the Criminal Code and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, their implementation faces challenges. Therefore, stronger regulations, improved digital literacy, and enhanced victim protection mechanisms are needed

Abstract

The phenomenon of secondary victimization is a serious problem in the criminal justice system, resulting in continued suffering for crime victims. Secondary victimization occurs due to insensitive treatment by law enforcement officers and legal mechanisms, resulting in additional trauma. In this context, advocates have a strategic role in providing responsive legal assistance to prevent secondary victimization. This study aims to analyze the responsibility of advocates in preventing secondary victimization of victims through legal assistance oriented toward protecting victims' rights. The research method used is normative legal research with a statutory and conceptual approach. The results indicate that advocates have not only a legal responsibility but also a moral responsibility to ensure victims receive optimal protection during the legal process. Responsive, humanistic, and victim-oriented legal assistance is key to minimizing secondary victimization and realizing a just criminal justice system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity on the tendency to engage in academic and professional fraud among accounting students. The phenomenon of academic fraud, which is still common, indicates a gap between the moral values believed in and the actual behavior of students. This study used a qualitative approach with the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method through a search of various relevant scientific articles in the Google Scholar, SINTA, and Scopus databases. The results of the study indicate that religiosity plays a significant role in suppressing fraudulent tendencies, particularly through the internalization of moral values and self-control. However, formalistic religiosity without a deep understanding is not always effective in preventing fraudulent behavior. This study concludes that religiosity plays a significant role as an internal control mechanism in shaping the ethical behavior of accounting students. Therefore, substantive strengthening of religious values is necessary to shape prospective professionals with integrity.

Abstract

Domestic violence is a type of human rights abuse that often happens in Indonesia and has serious effects on victims physically, mentally, and socially. This problem is not just about laws but also includes tricky social, cultural, and economic aspects. This study aims to look at legal protection for victims of domestic violence from a victim-focused viewpoint and see how well the Indonesian criminal justice system has delivered justice for victims. The research method used is a normative legal study with legal and conceptual approaches. The results show that even though laws are in place, their application is still not effective, especially in meeting victims' rights like compensation, support, and ongoing protection. A victim-focused viewpoint highlights the importance of putting victims at the heart of the justice system to achieve real justice. Thus, stronger roles from the state, law enforcement, and legal aid organizations are needed to give complete protection for victims.
