The main objective of the publication is to create a platform to publish original articles, researches results, case studies and book reviews related to the field of Islamic Studies. Focus: This journal should coverage Islam both as a textual tradition with its own historical integrity and as a social reality which was dynamic and constantly changing. The journal also aims at bridging the gap between the textual and contextual approaches to Islamic Studies; and solving the dichotomy between ‘orthodox’ and ‘heterodox’ Islam. So, the journal invites the intersection of several disciplines and scholars. In other words, its contributors borrowed from a range of disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences. Scope: Qur’anic and Hadith Studies, Arabic Language and literature, Islamic Education, Islamic Economics, Islamic Civilization, Islamic Thought, Islamic law, Islamic Theology, Muslim Societies and Politics, Islam and the Muslim World, Anthropology, Sociology.

Abstract

Islamic civilization has a rich history with various traditions and practices that have contributed significantly to scientific, cultural, and religious developments. However, with the passage of time and social changes, many traditions have been forgotten or given little attention in modern society. This article examines several traditions that have simply been lost, from classical science and wisdom to art, manners and ethics in Islam. This research aims to explore Islamic traditions, describe their values ​​in the current context, and remind them of the importance of preserving them for future generations. The method used in this research is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. The results and conclusions are that Islamic traditions are faced by the influence of globalization, modernization, as well as a lack of interest or understanding among the younger generation. By understanding, respecting and maintaining Islamic traditions, Muslims can maintain the cultural and spiritual riches that have been passed down from time to time.

Abstract

The Tafsir Al-Misbah is a high-value tafsir that was born of the Indonesian Tafsir figure, M. Quraish Shihab. This work is said to be a relatively complete tafsira and tries to prioritize the value of relevance of the Quran with life in accordance with its times. This paper aims to describe the model of presenting the Qur'an chosen by M.Quraish Shihab in Tafsir Al-Misbah by applying qualitative research methods that are considered to have relevance in the study of the Quran and tafsir. Using appropriate library data sources and subsequently analyzed with content anlysist approach. This study found that there are at least three models of presentation of the Qur'an in the Tafsir Al-Misbah, namely without or by mentioning the Quran and comparing the difference between one Quran and another according to the needs of interpretation

Abstract

The Qur'an is a guidance book for mankind of all ages, which has an extraordinary aspect of magnificence. It's supported by no human being capable of confronting it. The purpose of this article is to discuss further how the editing of the Qur'an about khamar and the beauty of taxyri' contained in it, to deepen th e knowledge of the problem of khamar in the Quran and to investigate how the scientific beauty of the ban khamar exists.

Abstract

The writer is interested in discussing the meaning of the message in the Qur'an using a thematic method (maudhu'i), because not many can explain the meaning in a comprehensive way. Then the focus of this discussion is on the message spread in ten verses, namely: Al Maidah verses 67, Al An’am verses 124, Al A’raf verses 62, 68, 79, 93, 144, Al Ahzab verses 39, Al Jin verses 23 and 28. After conducting research and analysis of the interpretation of several mufasirs. It is clear that they do not differ in the meaning of the message in the Qur'an. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of all the people. All these messages are from God, and their primary purpose is to invite people to worship God and not to associate with Him.

Abstract

Competence is an absolute thing that must be possessed by teachers, because teachers have a big share in the educational process, especially in achieving educational success. One of the Muslim leaders who has explained the concept of competence that must be owned by the teacher is Al-Zarnuji in the book of Ta'lim al-Muta'allim, then this study aims to determine the concept of teacher competence according to Al-Zarnuji in the book of Ta'lim al-Muta'allim. To determine the competencies of teachers according to law No.14 of 2005 on teachers and lecturers. To determine the relevance of teacher competence according to Al-Zarnuji in the book of Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim with law No.14 of 2005 on teachers and lecturers. The approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach to the type of library research (library research). Primary sources in this study is the book of Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim by Al-Zarnuji and Law No.14 of 2005 on teachers and lecturers and secondary sources are writings and research on teacher competence. Data collection techniques in this study is the library. Data analysis techniques in this study is to use the data analysis model “Content Analysis". The results of this study are, according to Al-Zarnuji in the book of Ta'lim Al-Muta'allim competence of teachers, among others, first, al-a'lam (more pious), second, more wara’, and third, al-asanna (older or experienced) and fourth, polite, then the thought of Al-Zarnuji is still relevant to the competence of teachers listed in law No. 14 of 2005 on teachers and lecturers, among others, first, pedagogical competence, second, personality competence, third, professional competence and fourth, social competence.

Abstract

With the development of social media, performance becomes faster, more precise and accurate, which ultimately increases productivity. One of the current social media users is students. The reason is, social media allows students to easily communicate at close or long distances without having to meet face to face. Not only is social media important for students to stay informed, it can also improve critical thinking and develop work-related skills and creativity. The aim of this research is to determine the use of social media as a learning medium. This research uses a data analysis method that focuses on library research by reading, studying and surveying books and literary materials that are closely related to the research questions. The use of social media in learning media can further improve the quality of learning if used as comprehensively as possible. However, this does not mean that social media will have a negative impact if its use is not controlled and the information is not filtered. Mistakes may occur during the learning process if teachers do not use social media as a teaching medium properly.

Abstract

Solving problems using the rules of fiqhiyyah, and showing that the rules of fiqhiyyah is one of the disciplines, does not stand alone in its themes and studies. As a derivation of jurisprudence or Islamic law, the rules of fiqhiyyah are common nodes of some problems of Islamic law that can be used by laypeople and fuqaha in finding solutions to legal problems that arise in the community in various themes both worship, muamalah, and contemporary Islamic legal issues. This study aims to determine the application of the rules of fiqhiyyah Al-Dhararu Yuzal in solving problems of Islamic law. The method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. The result and Conclusion is that the rule of Al-Dhararu Yuzal (الضرر يزال) is one of the five qawaid fiqhiyyah kulliyah kubra, and has several branch rules.

Abstract

Early childhood education is generally unavoidable from the activities of drawing in the learning process. There is a history of the Hadith that prohibits a person from drawing, and the prohibition is accompanied by a severe punishment. Of course this is a special thought for artists of painting or painting and those engaged in the activities of drawing, including early childhood educators. So this article is meant to trace the understanding of the hadith about the prohibition of drawing and try to contextualize that understanding with early childhood education. This research combines the research of the library that is analyzed with the content alaysist approach through the understanding of fiqh al-hadis.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to determine patriarchy and gender equality in classical and contemporary interpretations. This research is a library research. Primary data is obtained from classical and contemporary interpretations. The data collection technique used is the documentation technique. Furthermore, the collected data is grouped and arranged systematically, and analyzed critically using deductive and inductive methods. So that the results of this study can produce accurate and accountable conclusions. The results of the study indicate that patriarchy is a term that places men above women both in the family and society. While gender equality is a view that equates men and women to obtain opportunities and rights and obligations as human beings. The concept of gender emphasizes more on the aspects of masculinity or femininity of a person. There are several verses of the Quran concerning the equality of "men" and "women", namely QS An Nisa: 124, An Nahl verse 97, and Al-Hujurat verse 13. Several classical scholars of interpretation such as Ibn Kathir, Asy Syaukani, and At Tabari interpret the Quran Surah Ali Imran 14 as a warning to men not to be fooled by the charm of women. Men are considered as subjects and women as objects. However, Contemporary Scholars of Interpretation have paid attention to gender equality such as Quraish Shihab, Muhammad Syahrur, and Faqihudin Abdul Qodir.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini memberikan kajian terkait dinamika sosial keagamaan yang terjadi serta peranan masjid sebagai faktor mendasar meingkatnya nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam basis masyarakat Islam. Penelitian ini termasuk pada penelitian kualitatif lapangan yang mengkaji bagaimana pola keagamaan dan dinamika sosial masyarakat pasca gerakan 30 september, unsur agama menjadi sesuatu hal yang sangat sensitif dikalangan masyarakat pada saat itu. Terutama agama Islam yang mayoritas menjadi keyakinan agama masyarakat Indonesia, seperti halnya di Kabupaten Klaten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya suatu hasil peradaban Islam baru dalam perspektif sosial beragama masyarakat Islam melalui perkembangan sarana ibadah yang menjadi faktor utama dalam pengembangan pola peradaban Islam sebelum dan sesudah kemerdekaan Indonesia.
