Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago nation with a diverse population of racial and cultural backgrounds. This makes Indonesians rich in expression culture, considered valuable, and plays an important role in representing the self-nation of Indonesia. Culture is very tightly related to religion. The majority of Indonesians are Muslims; therefore, Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. Religion and culture are closely related; one example is the Indonesian custom of eating ketupat on Eid Al-Fitr. Ketupat is made from two plant-derived ingredients: coconut leaves as a wrapper and sticky rice as the main ingredient. Young coconut leaves have become the identity of the ketupat because they are used to wrap the contents of the ketupat by forming specific shapes, for example, diamonds. Sunan Kalijaga, an Indonesian theologian and significant figure for Muslims in Java, is credited with introducing ketupat to the region. However, over time, the custom of eating ketupat exclusively during Eid Al-Fitr will fade. Every Indonesian region started to develop a unique culture for making and serving ketupat.

Abstract

In regions where fertilizer subsidies for crucial elements like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are severely limited for farmers, accessing necessary inputs for maize farming becomes a significant challenge. To address this, leveraging local resources such as feedlot waste emerges as a promising solution. This research uses a Random block design to implement this research within three replications. This research uses factorial treatments that are: 1) Without compost and biochar (control), 2) 10 ton/ha compost and biochar,  3) 10  ton/ha compost and biochar and one time application/week, 4) 10 ton/ha compost and biochar one time application/2 week. Replication of all the treatments in this research is three replications. This research aims to assess the economic value of feedlot waste, particularly in its conversion to compost, biochar, and biourine, serving as locally generated inputs for maize production in dryland farming systems. The objectives of this research are to know the economic value of feedlot waste that farmers save and to know the capability of input production from feedlot waste to produce maize in managing dryland farming systems. The result of this research is farmers can save their money for buying input production by managing the waste of feedlots to compost, biochar, and biourine and use it as quality input production.

Abstract

Character is a form of behavior of a person that is related to actions, words, feelings, attitudes, thoughts, environment, social, self, and relationship to God based on current regulations. Religious character is the behavior shown to a person to carry out what is commanded in Islam and stay away from all forms of His prohibitions. In another context, Indonesia is a Pancasila country, where the first principle explains "Belief in One Almighty God". Education at school can be used as a madrasa for children to deepen their religious knowledge, so that religious character can be formed from these activities. The aim is to analyze the management of character education through religious habituation in junior high schools. The research method uses qualitative research with a literature review approach. The results obtained by character education are one of the forms of education that must be implemented at the secondary education level. Religious values are one of the values that students can familiarize themselves with as a form of character education management. In implementing religious habits, teachers have various roles, especially in character education managementReligious habits in implementing character education can be influenced by several factors, including infrastructure, school environment, student interests, and student background.

Abstract

Marriage holds great significance for the Batak community, which follows the traditional Dalihan Na Tolu system. In the Toba Batak tribe, a gift called Sinamot is given as a tribute to the bride-to-be's family. The research conducted for this study utilized various data collection methods from relevant and up-to-date journal sources. The findings of the study suggest that the Sinamot tradition within the Toba Batak tribe serves as a means to reinforce the connection between two kinship groups. This tradition is a necessary condition for the legitimacy of marriage under the custom and involves various objects and stages. This event is marked by the presence of various objects that hold significant meaning, such as goldfish, meat, money, and ulos cloth. The preparation process involves various stages, including Marhori-hori walls and Marhusip, which are designed to ensure the continuity and success of the event. The implementation of Sinamot requires careful planning and discussion from both the bride and groom's families, and it is viewed as a way to pay tribute to traditional Batak kings and their families. Ultimately, Sinamot is a symbol of respect for Batak culture and traditional family values.

Abstract

The use of animated visuals to enhance the learner experience is referred to as animation in e-learning applications. Animation can be used to explain complex concepts, make learning more interactive, and improve user comprehension. A good animation can visually capture the user's attention. For example, animated page entries or element transitions can make users focus more on the content, as well as improve the aesthetics of the application, making it look more professional and attractive. In the ever-evolving app design landscape, user engagement has become an important metric for evaluating the success of an app. This research explores the impact of animation on user engagement in web user interface/user experience (UI/UX) design. Animation is well-known as a design element, but its impact on user engagement remains unexplored. Through user testing and analysis of websites with and without animation, this research seeks to provide insight into how animation affects user behavior and interaction.

Abstract

Solar energy is one of the renewable energy sources that has great potential to replace conventional energy sources that have a negative impact on the environment. Solar power plants (PLTS) are technologies that utilize solar energy to generate electricity by converting sunlight into electric current. PLTS can be divided into two types, namely photovoltaic (PV) and concentration (CSP). PV is a PLTS that uses solar cells to directly convert sunlight into electricity, while CSP is a PLTS that uses mirrors or lenses to focus sunlight to a point and generate heat that is used to drive turbines. Both types of PLTS have their own advantages and disadvantages, depending on factors such as location, climate, cost, and land availability. This study discusses the development, challenges, and prospects of PLTS as a renewable energy source for the future. This study also provides an example of Likupang PLTS in North Sulawesi, which is one of the largest PLTS in Indonesia. It can supply electricity to several regions around it with an installed capacity of 21 MWp. This study shows that PLTS has economic, social, and environmental benefits and can contribute to achieving national and global renewable energy targets.

Abstract

The problem that occurs in the distribution of zakat is poverty data, which can hinder the process of zakat distribution, causing individuals who are not eligible to receive zakat to feel a lack of social justice. Social justice in Islam, especially through the concept of zakat, is a crucial focus for Muhammad Iqbal. Zakat is not just a ritual obligation but also an instrument to reduce social injustice and strengthen societal solidarity. Iqbal sees it as a practical step to create a more just and balanced society, viewing zakat as a moral and social foundation. This writing aims to explore the realization of zakat as a manifestation of social justice from the perspective of Muhammad Iqbal. The research approach used in this study is qualitative, employing a literature review method to gather data from various sources such as books such as the book “Introduction to Islamic Economics and History of Islamic Economics”, and International journals, sinta 2 and sinta 5, which are relevant to the research as well as other sources that can support the research. The method used in this research involves the analysis of several articles. The results of the research indicate that, according to Muhammad Iqbal, zakat is not only a religious obligation but also a tangible tool for creating a more humane society with social justice.
