This research aims to examine the application of Shopee's e-commerce business ethics based on Maqashid al-Syari’ah according to Ash-Syathibi's thought. This research uses a qualitative approach using library research methods. Namely, data is collected by reviewing books and journals that are appropriate to this research, using the phenomenological method, namely data mining that discusses the specifics of this research, and also relies on critical analysis of primary and secondary sources related to this research. The results of this research are that business ethics based on Maqashid al-Syari’ah, according to Asy-Syathibi's thoughts, has a good impact on the sustainability of Shopee's business. By maintaining customer trust and implementing rules in accordance with Maqashid al-Syari’ah, Shopee is increasingly developing and being trusted by the public as a safe and trustworthy e-commerce platform. Abstract

In the Acehnese community, childbirth holds sacred significance. This sacredness is reflected in specific rituals to introduce a newborn to the world. These rituals are seen as both a continuation of the Prophet Muhammad's actions and a way to maintain communication and exchange across generations. The rituals not only honor the birthing process but also provide physical and mental support to the mother after childbirth. This study focuses on the specific ritual of bathing a newborn baby, practised in the village of Blangporoh, South Aceh. Using interviews and field observations, the study reveals that this ritual continues to serve as a symbolic gesture of welcoming and integrating the baby into society. Additionally, the tradition of animal sacrifice (Akikah) often accompanies the bathing ritual. The sacrifice (akikah) for "redeeming" the child for Allah was performed "as one would redeem mortgaged land" after the ritual bathing. The guardians are in the red to Allah for a child, and this penance counterbalanced that obligation. Additionally, it established a bond between the child's parents. The author emphasizes the crucial role both rituals play in introducing the baby to the community's socio-cultural values from the very beginning of life.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate two customary funerals conducted by the Dane-zaa First Nation of Northeastern British Columbia, known as the Doig River First Nation. Both funerals included a lot of drumming, singing, and dancing around the fire in keeping with the Dane-zaa custom. Still, there was one key distinction between the two rituals. The funeral held in 2019 for Janice Askoty was a hybrid service that included a Christian liturgy and customary rituals. Such a ritual highlighted the conflicts that already existed among community members over faith and belief systems. There were no conflicts throughout the Christian service that was part of Annie Oker's 2020 funeral. In this paper, the researcher use the notion of syncretism and my observations to illustrate how Christian practices have been merged with indigenous cultural practices, symbols, and beliefs to create new blended practices. Simultaneously, the researcher highlight how certain customs (such as drumming, singing, and dancing around the fire) have endured to this day because they have not been altered by outside forces. Finally, the researcher discuss how the history of colonialism continues to show itself in funerary celebrations and how the community members view, confront, and resist it.

Abstract

This study analyzes Madrasah Aliyah (MA) accreditation in Indonesia, drawing upon data sourced from the Ministry of Religion. The results illuminate optimistic trends, showcasing substantial proportions of MAs achieving Accreditation B (51%) and Accreditation A (43.9%). Notably, regional variations accentuate diverse educational priorities, with private MAs consistently outpacing their public counterparts in accreditation levels. Despite overall alignment with infrastructure standards, it is imperative to address the 26% of MAs with Accreditation C and the 1% lacking accreditation. The strategic distribution of laboratories and facilities underscores a resolute commitment to providing comprehensive learning experiences. In conclusion, Indonesia’s MA system has attained commendable achievements, yet there exists a pressing need for concentrated efforts to rectify regional disparities, enhance public school accreditation, and elevate facility quality, thereby enriching the overall educational landscape. A call for continuous monitoring and targeted interventions is sounded, urging stakeholders to actively engage in sustained improvement initiatives. Through such dedicated endeavors, the Indonesian MA system can fortify its foundations and uphold its commitment to delivering quality education across diverse regions.

Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of global mortality, encompassing heart disease, strokes, and related conditions. To combat this public health concern, monitoring vital indicators like heart rate and blood pressure plays a pivotal role in early detection, preventive care, treatment assessment, fitness tracking, and post-surgery care. This study aims to assess the effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on heart rate and blood pressure, exploring its potential role as a therapeutic intervention to optimize cardiovascular system health. This study examines the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) on heart rate and blood pressure in patients who receive multiple treatments. The research includes 113 participants undergoing HBOT at different frequencies over 2 weeks. This study used specific statistical tests to analyze the effects of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) on heart rate and blood pressure. For nonparametric data, the Wilcoxon test will be employed, and for normally distributed data, the Paired T-test will be used. To determine the most influential HBOT frequencies group, the Kruskal- Wallis test will be applied due to the delta heart rate categorized as ordinal. The statistical analysis revealed a significant difference in heart rate before and after HBOT treatment with frequencies of two, three, and five times a week with the details p = 0.008, p < 0.001, and p < 0.001, respectively. As for heart rate alterations, HBOT should be administered at least three or five times a week, which led to notable reductions in heart rate. The correlation values on systole and diastole before and after treatments are 951 and 916 respectively. This data shows that hyperbaric oxygen therapy does improve the blood pressure quality of hypertensive patients. By examining the effect of HBOT on heart rate and blood pressure, this study seeks to contribute valuable insights to the field of cardiovascular system health and provide evidence for the use of HBOT in promoting healing and well-being.

Abstract

Jackfruit seeds have excellent nutritional quality, so they can help obtain healthy and nutritious food products. In this research, some wheat flour was replaced with jackfruit seed flour as the base ingredient for waffle cone ice cream. The amount of wheat flour added to the dough is the same as the amount of jackfruit seed flour added. Jackfruit seed flour was added after the effectiveness of using response surface methodology in the batter base for waffle ice cream. The waffle ice cream cone was made from 100% wheat flour, was considered a control, and was used to compare the waffle ice cream cone supplemented with jackfruit seed flour. Replacing wheat flour with jackfruit seed flour affects the nutritional content and characteristics of the waffle cone cream for protein content, ice cream permeability density, crunchiness, and overall acceptability. Protein content increased (14.55%) after adding jackfruit seed flour to 80% of the control level. The cone added with 60% jackfruit seed flour resulted in higher overall crunchiness and acceptability scores than other waffle ice cream cones because jackfruit seed flour has a high water/oil absorption capacity, jackfruit seed flour can be used to make other value-added food products as a substitute for wheat flour in whole or part.
