Abstract

AI has transformed the way companies manage data, make decisions, and conduct operations. Machine learning, predictive analytics, and natural language processing enable information systems to adapt automatically. AI can process large amounts of data quickly and accurately, create intelligent digital environments, and provide strategic recommendations for business decision-making. Through service automation, AI implementation also improves data security and user experience. However, issues such as ethics, data privacy, and dependency on technology remain key concerns. Overall, the digital transformation towards efficiency, innovation, and global competitiveness is driven by the use of AI in contemporary information systems.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes to how organizations manage and evaluate their performance. Data management technologies such as management information systems, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) have become strategic tools for supporting data-driven decision-making processes. This article aims to examine the role of data management technology in measuring organizational performance effectively and efficiently. Through a descriptive qualitative approach using literature studies, the research finds that the implementation of data management technology not only improves the accuracy of performance measurement but also accelerates the analysis process and enhances organizational transparency. The results indicate that organizations utilizing data-driven technologies are able to establish performance measurement systems that are more adaptive to changes in the business environment.

Abstract

The development of educational information systems has become an essential requirement for enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall quality of the teaching and learning process. Through the implementation of such systems, educational institutions are able to manage academic data, administrative processes, and institutional communication in an integrated manner. This article aims to analyze the concepts, methods, and outcomes of implementing information system development within the context of modern education. Using a qualitative approach based on a literature study, the research identifies various forms of information system innovations applied in educational institutions and examines their impact on the quality of educational services. The findings reveal that the implementation of information systems in educational settings has produced significant positive effects, particularly in accelerating data management processes, thereby enabling administrative activities to run more efficiently and systematically. Transparency has also improved because academic and managerial information is presented openly and can be easily accessed by all stakeholders. Moreover, institutional accountability is strengthened through more organized documentation systems that allow clear tracking of every process. Ultimately, the effectiveness of learning is enhanced through digital support that enables educators and learners to access materials, assessments, and academic services in a more structured and purposeful manner.

Abstract

 The rapid advancement of information technology has fundamentally transformed the ways in which organizations operate, communicate, and make strategic decisions. This article aims to analyze the degree of organizational dependence on information systems in the modern era and examine its impact on operational effectiveness and competitive sustainability. Using a literature study method, this research reviews various empirical and conceptual findings regarding the role of information systems in enhancing work efficiency, strengthening inter-unit integration, and accelerating decision-making processes. The findings indicate that organizational dependence on information systems continues to increase in line with the growing complexity of data needs and the dynamic demands of the market. The analysis further reveals that information systems play a significant role in improving process speed, information accuracy, and internal coordination, while also introducing risks such as cyberattacks, system failures, and user resistance to technological changes. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of implementing risk management strategies, strengthening information security, and developing adaptive human resources to ensure that this dependence becomes a source of organizational strength rather than vulnerability. Thus, information systems are not merely operational support tools but have become a strategic foundation for organizational sustainability, resilience, and competitive advantage in the digital era.

Abstract

Learning Islamic Cultural History (SKI) within the pesantren environment requires an approach that not only emphasizes cognitive aspects but also integrates the cultural values that characterize the institution. However, SKI learning at Darul Qur’an Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School Junior Secondary (MTs) still faces challenges, particularly low student engagement and the dominance of lecture-based methods that do not sufficiently encourage critical thinking. This study aims to implement and analyze the effectiveness of Inquiry Learning based on Islamic Boarding School cultural values in improving the quality of SKI instruction. The research employed a qualitative approach using classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The theoretical framework draws on the concept of Inquiry Learning integrated with Islamic Boarding School values such as exemplary behavior, independence, deliberation, and learning etiquette. The findings indicate that implementing Inquiry Learning grounded in Islamic Boarding School culture enhances students’ active participation, critical thinking skills, and conceptual understanding of SKI material. Furthermore, improvements were observed in the quality of the learning process, as reflected in more dynamic classroom interactions and stronger relevance between the material and students’ daily lives as santri. The study concludes that inquiry-based learning incorporating Islamic Boarding School cultural values is an effective alternative for improving SKI learning at Darul Qur’an Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School Junior Secondary (MTs).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the character education values contained in Kitab Al-Hikam by Ibn ‘Athaillah as-Sakandari and to explore their integration within the context of modern Islamic schooling. The background of this research stems from the ongoing moral and spiritual crisis among students, highlighting the need for a spiritual and Sufi-based approach to character formation. Using a qualitative descriptive method through library research, this study analyzes the wisdom texts (hikmah) of Al-Hikam along with relevant literature on Islamic character education. The findings reveal that the core character values in Al-Hikam encompass three main dimensions: tauhid, which nurtures spiritual awareness and sincerity; akhlaq/ta’dzim, which instills respect, humility, and empathy; and worship (ibadah), which develops discipline and devotion in religious practice. The integration of these values can be implemented through hidden curricula, religious learning, spiritual activities, and teacher role modeling. The study concludes that Al-Hikam offers significant relevance for strengthening holistic Islamic character education aimed at fostering a generation that is faithful, knowledgeable, and morally upright.

Abstract

This study examines the relevance of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan’s educational thought in developing character education as a strategy to prevent bullying in schools, both in direct physical interactions and within digital spaces that increasingly serve as arenas for symbolic violence. Employing a literature review with descriptive analysis, this research investigates primary sources on Dahlan’s ideas alongside contemporary studies on bullying phenomena, students’ psychosocial dynamics, and character-based pedagogical approaches. The findings indicate that Dahlan’s educational philosophy offers a comprehensive framework: the integration of religious knowledge and modern science strengthens students’ holistic worldview; moral cultivation serves as an ethical foundation that fosters moral sensitivity; teacher exemplarity plays a central role in shaping a humanistic school climate; and well-designed social engagement activities nurture empathy while reducing tendencies to demean others. Moreover, Dahlan’s emphasis on ethical media literacy becomes increasingly relevant in the digital era, where cyberbullying represents a form of violence that is difficult to detect yet has profound psychological impacts on students. Overall, this study affirms that the corpus of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan’s educational thought provides not only normative principles but also practical guidance that can be operationalized as a comprehensive preventive strategy to reduce bullying and to cultivate students’ character, empathy, and capacity to build dignified social relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate an integrative conceptual model of Islamic Education as implemented at SMA Nurul Ulum Demak. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews with subject teachers, and analysis of school documents. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify key themes within the school’s integrative Islamic education practices. The findings indicate that the integrative model of Islamic education strengthens students’ emotional regulation, motivation, social interaction, and moral behavior. Teachers serve as exemplars, mentors, and learning facilitators who harmonize Islamic educational values with psychological principles to support students’ holistic intelligence and character. The integration of Islamic pedagogical traditions such as ta‘lim, tarbiyah, ukhuwah, ihsan, and tazkiyah forms a comprehensive framework for student development. The main challenges in implementing this model include teachers’ limited understanding of students’ psychological development and the strong influence of the surrounding social environment. Therefore, further integration is required through enhanced teacher training and greater involvement of families and communities to ensure the success of Islamic education in the modern era.

Abstract

This paper originates from a student internship program conducted as part of the implementation of the Merdeka Mengajar Curriculum at SMP Swasta Cinta Rakyat 2 Pematangsiantar. The study aims to describe the internship experience and analyze how local wisdom is utilized to strengthen students’ literacy and numeracy skills. Drawing on classroom observations, documentation of learning activities, interviews, and daily reflective journals, the study demonstrates that Rumah Bolon and the traditional game Marsitekka function as effective pedagogical media for stimulating students’ understanding of space, symbols, patterns, and combinatorial reasoning. The findings indicate that the integration of local wisdom not only enhances students’ attention and participation but also enriches their numeracy thinking through contextual and enactive learning experiences. Rumah Bolon strengthens cultural literacy while deepening mathematical understanding, whereas Marsitekka provides space for students to develop strategies, logic, and problem-solving skills spontaneously. Overall, the internship program affirms that integrating local wisdom to enhance cognitive aspects of literacy and numeracy within the Merdeka Curriculum framework is essential for meaningful learning.

Abstract

This article examinea the thought of Theodor W. Adorno as a central figure of the frankfrut school in the development of critical theory. The study focuses on Adorno’s critique of instrumental rationality, the concept of negative dialectics, and the notion of the culture industry as a from of domination within modern capitalism. Employing a qualitative approach with a philosophical-analytical method, this research analyzes Adorno’s major work such as Dialectic of Enlightenment, Negative Dialectics, and his writing on the culture industry. The findings indicate that Adorno views modernity not merely as progress, but as a paradox get generates new forms of domination through distorted rationality. The concept of thr culture industry revelas how mass culture functions aa a mechanism of social control by producing false consciousness and weakening critical awarness. Adorno’s ideas remain highly relevant in contemporary contexts, particularly in addressing issues of digitalization, environmental crisis, and cultural homogenization. Therefore, Adorno’s critical theory offers an important reflective framework for fostering critical consciousness and human emancipation amid global capitalist domination.
