Abstract

This paper aims to outline the views of the imams of the madhhab regarding the concept of nikah tahlil, which is one of the controversial issues in Islamic law. Using the literature study method, this study collects primary sources from books by imams of madhhab as well as secondary data from journal articles and books. The results of the study show that nikah tahlil has become a debate among scholars of madhhab, both Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanafi, and Hanbali, each of whom has an understanding based on clear postulates and arguments of legal principles. This paper emphasizes that the practice of tahlil marriage should be avoided, because the majority of scholars (jumhur) recommend the prohibition of this form of marriage. Thus, it is hoped that the results of this study can contribute to the development of Islamic law and public understanding of the issue of tahlil marriage.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the communication of school principals through the implementation of effective communication in schools. This study uses a literature study method with a data triangulation approach, reviewing relevant literature on organizational communication theory, educational leadership, and previous research on the communication practice of school principals. Primary and secondary data were obtained from relevant previous research studies. The results of the study show that effective communication in schools can strengthen the relationship between principals, teachers, and students, as well as improve teacher motivation and performance. However, there are several challenges that hinder the implementation of effective communication, such as structural barriers, unequal opportunities for participation, and lack of transparency in decision-making. This study suggests the application of two-way communication that builds constructive feedback and increases participation

Abstract

This research aims to explore the legal system in Indonesia which is formed from various legal sources. The main issues raised are how this diverse legal system can maintain social order and provide legal certainty, as well as how the current positive law (ius constitutum) can adapt to ongoing social changes. This study uses a literature study method with an approach to Indonesian legal history, which traces the development of the legal system from the colonial period to the modern era. Data was obtained from primary and secondary literature, such as laws, books, journal articles, theses, and relevant news. The analysis was carried out with the stages of data triangulation to ensure the accuracy and validity of the research results. The findings of this study show that the legal system in Indonesia is a dynamic and complex system. Positive law has a central role in providing legal certainty, but challenges arise when the applicable law is no longer relevant to the needs of society. Therefore, it is important to carry out adaptive legal reforms, strengthen law enforcement, and increase public legal awareness so that the Indonesian legal system is able to present justice and order in accordance with the times.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the understanding and interpretation of Wasathiyah Islam according to two mufassirs Ibn Katsir and Hamka, who have different scientific backgrounds and social contexts. Ibn Kathir, as a classical scholar, emphasizes the meaning of wasathiyah as an attitude of fairness and balance in being a witness for humanity, while Hamka, with his contextual approach, highlights the importance of balance between worldly life and ukhrawi in every aspect of Muslim life. The method used in this study is thematic (maudhū'ī) which then analyzes Qur'anic verses related to wasathiyah interpreted by the two scholars. The results of the study show that despite the differences in approaches, both agree that Wasathiyah Islam is the key to maintaining the integrity of the ummah, reducing extremism, and building a social life based on justice and wisdom. This research makes an academic and practical contribution in understanding the relevance of the wasathiyah concept in facing various challenges of modern life.

Abstract

The da'wah movement carried out by the Majelis Tafsir Al-Qur’an (MTA) has shown significant development, but this development is inseparable from the rejection of the community, especially against the MTA of North Sumatra. The rejection by the community is based on the existence of the Prophet's hadith which prohibits interpreting the Quran. The community's view that MTA has violated the command contained in the hadith. This research discusses the view of the MTA congregation on the hadith of the prohibition of interpreting the Quran. To understand the theme, this study asks the question of how the views of the MTA representatives on the hadith of the prohibition of interpreting the Quran. To answer the research question, qualitative research method is used with the approach of interview, observation, and documentation. The source of data comes from pilgrims who are members of the MTA. Data analysis is done by data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. The findings of this study explain that the view of the MTA Representative of the hadith of the prohibition of interpreting the Quran is contextualist. The prohibition of interpreting the Qur'an in question is interpreting the Qur'an with the mind that follows lust without following the applicable rules. Finally, it can be emphasized that the view of the MTA on the hadith of the prohibition of interpreting the Qur'an is in accordance with the explanation of the scholars of hadith. So that this can make a good contribution to the community in order to avoid negative assumptions about the MTA representatives that have occurred so far, and can maintain good Muslim brotherhood.
