The aim of this research is to produce a water quality monitoring system in shrimp ponds based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and to find out the results of testing the development of the system using the ISO 25010 standard. This development involves the application of ESP32, Relay, Toa Siren, DS18b20 Temperature Sensor, pH Sensor Module 4502C, Water Salinity and Turbidity Sensor which allows users to get real-time pond water quality monitoring information via the Telegram application. The test results for the reliability aspect have met the fault tolerance sub-characteristic standards because the percentage of measurement error obtained for the temperature sensor was 0.10%, pH 0.54%, salinity 1.19%, and turbidity 1.00%, still within the permitted tolerance limits. Functionality suitability testing shows that this tool obtains a percentage of 100%, indicating that the system is suitable for use. This tool also meets the portability aspect because it can be used on various devices with different operating systems. Apart from that, the usability evaluation results from user responses are in the very good category with an average of >4.2.

Abstract

The Circuit Breaker (PMT) plays a very important role in the substation system because the PMT is the equipment responsible for disconnecting the load current during a disturbance. This study aims to determine the results of insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, and simultaneity of the Circuit Breaker (PMT), evaluate the quality of the PMT, and determine the results of the NGR (Neutral Grounding Resistor) testing at the Panakkukang Substation. This research employs a quantitative method using an ex post facto research design. The research was conducted at PT. PLN (Persero) Panakkukang Substation, with the object being the 150 kV transformer bay Circuit Breaker (PMT). The results obtained from this study show that the insulation materials and contact components of the Circuit Breaker installed in transformer bay 2 are still in good and safe condition. The Circuit Breaker can trip according to normal simultaneity performance. The quality of the PMT is still in safe and operational condition, and the NGR (Neutral Ground Resistor) test results for transformer bay 2 indicate that it is still in good and safe condition.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an IoT-based prototype system for monitoring soil moisture and controlling irrigation in chili plants using the Blynk platform. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a prototypedevelopment model. The system integrates a capacitive soil moisture sensor (Soil Moisture Sensor Capacitive V1.2) to measure soil moisture levels and automate irrigation decisions. The system's effectiveness was evaluated through 56 trials, achieving a 98.15% success rate, indicating high reliability in providing real-time soil moisture data. The usability assessment showed that all respondents rated the system positively, with functionality reaching 100% feasibility and usability rated at 86.3%, categorized as very good. However, further analysis is needed to validate the questionnaire used in usability testing and assess whether training is required for farmers to operate the system efficiently. In terms of reliability, the system recorded a 5% sensor accuracy deviation, highlighting the need for additional calibration and comparative testing with alternative sensors. Overall, this system has the potential to enhance agricultural productivity and optimize water usage, reducing dependence on manual irrigation. Future research should focus on improving system connectivity, refining sensor accuracy, and expanding the system's application to various crops and environmental conditions to promote sustainable and technology-driven farming practices.

Abstract

This study analyzes the reliability of the control system at the UPDK Tello Gas Power Plant (PLTG) with a focus on critical components that affect systemperformance. The evaluation was conducted using three main indicators: availability, Mean Time to Failure (MTTF), and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), andtheir impact on operational efficiency. Quantitative descriptive research method was applied through Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) analysis, direct observation, and maintenance document study. The results showed variations in reliability between components. In GE#1, the TCDA card has the highest RPN value of 156, availability 0.9995435874, MTTF 13139.99999 hours, MTTR 5.999999999 hours, reliability 0.1353352832, and operationalefficiency 99.95431704%. At GE#2, the exhaust thermocouple has the highest RPN of 192 with a reliability of 0.04978706857, while the 1.5 A fuse has the lowest availability of 0.9994675591, MTTF of 26279.99999 hours, MTTR of 14 hours, and operational efficiency of 99.94672755%. The average operational efficiency at GE#1 and GE#2 are 99.9866758% and 99.98731608% respectively. The results show that the system still meets operating standards although there are significant differences between the RPN values and other reliability indicators. Components with high RPN do not always have the lowest availability or operational efficiency. This research emphasizes the importance of a multi-indicator approach in reliability analysis as well as the need for customized maintenance strategies for each critical component.

Abstract

Lighting plays a crucial role in hospital environments, directly impacting the efficiency of medical staff and the comfort of patients. This study aims to analyze the light intensity in various rooms of Syekh Yusuf General Hospital, Gowa District, South Sulawesi Province, and evaluate its compliance with the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2016. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through observations, direct measurements using a lux meter, and documentation. Measurements were conducted in 51 rooms, including inpatient rooms, delivery rooms, laboratories, emergency rooms, polyclinics, and the lobby. The results indicate that 46 rooms (90%) meet the required lighting standards, while five rooms do not due to factors such as dim or unclean light fixtures and poorly maintained luminaires. The findings align with previous studies emphasizing the importance of optimal lighting in healthcare settings to reduce eye strain, enhance productivity, and improve patient recovery. The study highlights the need for regular evaluations and a structured maintenance program to ensure consistent lighting quality. Implementing automated lighting systems and tailored illumination for specific hospital functions is recommended to enhance both medical efficiency and patient well-being.
