Abstract

The capital market serves as an important instrument for companies to obtain funding. On the other hand, investors are often in a weaker position due to limited access to information and the high risk of market misconduct. This condition creates a strong need for clear legal protection. This study focuses on two main issues, namely the legal framework governing investor protection in Indonesia and the role of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in carrying out its supervisory function. The research applies a normative juridical approach by examining relevant laws, regulations, and literature. The findings show that although existing regulations, such as the Capital Market Law and the OJK Law, provide a foundation for investor protection, challenges remain in their implementation. Weaknesses are found in supervisory practices and in the low level of financial literacy among the public. Therefore, strengthening regulations and optimizing the supervisory role of OJK are necessary to ensure more effective investor protection in the Indonesian capital market.

Abstract

This study examines the moral messages contained in the lyrics of the song "Diri" by Tulus through Charles Sanders Peirce's Semiotics approach. It is motivated by the phenomenon of moral decadence in the digital era, where popular media such as music holds great potential as a communication tool for spreading positive values. The song "Diri" was chosen for its deep, reflective, and humanistic lyrics. The research aims to answer two research questions: (1) What are the moral messages contained in the lyrics of the song "Diri" by Tulus through Charles Sanders Peirce's Semiotics analysis? and (2) How is the interpretation of moral messages related to introspection, self-acceptance, and universal spirituality contained in the song's lyrics? The method used is a literature review with a Charles Sanders Peirce's Semiotics analysis approach. The research data were collected from the lyrics of the song "Diri" and various literature related to morality, psychology, and semiotics. The results show that the lyrics of the song "Diri" contain diverse moral messages, such as increasing self-awareness, forgiveness, self-acceptance, developing qana'ah, and seeking inner peace. These messages are interpreted into three main themes: introspection (as a process of self-reflection), self-acceptance (as the acceptance of one's value and dignity), and universal spirituality (as the search for inner peace).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles at PT BPR Supra Artapersada based on the 2024 governance report using a qualitative approach through secondary data analysis. The TARIF principles (Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independence, and Fairness) serve as the analytical framework to assess the quality of the company’s governance. The findings show that transparency, accountability, and responsibility have been well implemented, as reflected in information disclosure, organizational clarity, and compliance with laws and social programs. However, the company still faces challenges such as family-dominated ownership structures, conflicts of interest in affiliated transactions, and ongoing legal cases. This study concludes that the implementation of GCG at PT BPR Supra Artapersada is relatively good but requires stronger independence and fairness to align governance practices with best practice standards in the microfinance banking sector.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed the way society interacts socially and economically, including in the field of transportation, which is currently largely served by Limited Liability Companies through online applications such as Gojek and Grab. This study aims to examine the forms of consumer protection and the legal responsibilities of Limited Liability Companies in online transportation services, referring to Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Constitutional Court Decision Number 41/PUU-XVI/2018. The method used is normative juridical with an approach that includes legislation, concepts, and case studies. The research findings indicate that although the Consumer Protection Law provides a legal basis for consumer protection, its implementation in the field shows an imbalance of responsibilities, where companies often evade accountability by placing the blame on driver partners. Constitutional Court Decision No. 41/PUU-XVI/2018 emphasizes that the providers of transportation services Online platforms not only function as technology mediators but also must be legally responsible for the losses suffered by consumers. Therefore, regulatory alignment between the Consumer Protection Law (UUPK), the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE), and the Limited Liability Company Law (UU PT) is necessary to create justice, legal certainty, and effective consumer protection in the digital economy era.

Abstract

Elections and regional elections are essential parts of Indonesia's democratic system that involve active public participation. The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) plays a key role in enhancing public participation in election and regional election oversight. This study aims to analyze the role of Bawaslu in Manggarai Barat Regency in promoting public participation and identifying factors that hinder it in the 2024 General Election and Regional Election. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, the research reveals that although there are programs designed to increase participatory oversight, there is a gap between planning and implementation on the ground. Factors such as limited access to information, low political awareness, and political culture influence are major barriers. Nevertheless, the increase in the number of public reports in the 2024 Regional Election indicates a rise in participation. The study provides recommendations to strengthen the capacity of supervisors and socialization strategies to achieve more effective and democratic oversight.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, with a focus on the regional tax and retribution sector. Optimizing PAD is crucial for regional fiscal independence and sustainable development financing.Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings show that PAD optimization in Ngada Regency is influenced by several key factors. Tax system innovation through digitalization (V-Tax application) has improved efficiency and transparency, although its implementation remains uneven due to infrastructure and digital literacy limitations. A humanistic yet firm collection program has proven effective in increasing compliance, but requires more accurate performance data to measure its impact. Tariff policies based on local economic conditions and periodic adjustments need greater transparency and stronger involvement of business actors. Tax education and socialization should be broadened and tailored to the characteristics of local communities. Collaboration with third parties (banks, digital service providers) has facilitated payment, yet must be balanced with improved internet access in remote areas. The study concludes that optimizing PAD in Ngada Regency requires a comprehensive approach that includes strengthening digital infrastructure and improving public digital literacy; enhancing the capacity of Bapenda human resources through training and development; conducting regular evaluations of program and policy effectiveness; increasing transparency and public participation in policy formulation; and expanding cooperation with various stakeholders to reach all segments of society.

Abstract

The struggle for gender equality in Indonesia is still constrained by perspectives that associate women primarily with domestic roles, thereby limiting their participation in the public sphere. This study aims to analyze the implementation and model of gender equality in public office at the Office of Population Control and Family Planning (DP2KB) of Kupang City, an institution with a balanced composition of employees—50% men and 50% women. The research applies a qualitative-descriptive method with a case study approach. Research informants consisted of 11 key individuals (ranging from the Head of Office to Section Heads) selected purposively. The analysis focuses on six indicators of female leadership: Direction Setting, Influencing Ability, Team Building, Risk Taking, Motivation, and Emotional Intelligence. The findings reveal that DP2KB Kupang City has achieved significant progress through female leadership in strategic positions. The leadership model practiced is proven to be transformative, inclusive, and adaptive. Specifically, this leadership is characterized by: Direction Setting through collaboration and inclusive team involvement; Influencing Ability based on empowerment; and the use of Emotional Intelligence (empathy and flexibility) as a key factor in fair decision-making. The presence of women in leadership positions at DP2KB represents a successful model that breaks down cultural and structural barriers while strengthening the organization’s commitment to gender equality in public bureaucracy.

Abstract

Financial Feasibility Analysis of a Business is essential to determine an investment plan by comparing the costs incurred with the benefits obtained. This assessment includes the availability of funds, cost of capital, the business’s ability to repay the investment within a certain period, and the prospects for future business development. Sensitivity analysis is conducted to determine the extent to which changes in key variables affect the feasibility of the business. This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of compost fertilizer enterprises managed by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Tebing Tinggi District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, as well as to examine the business sensitivity toward key variables. The research method used is a survey method, with primary data obtained through interviews and questionnaires, and secondary data derived from BUMDes financial reports. Financial feasibility analysis was conducted using the criteria of Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP). The results of the study indicate that the compost fertilizer businesses operated by the four BUMDes Karya Bersama, Sumber Rezeki, Gerbang Nusantara, and Mandiri Sejahtera are financially feasible. This is shown by the positive NPV values of Rp 1,068,698,769 (Karya Bersama), Rp 458,576,404 (Sumber Rezeki), Rp 272,435,240 (Gerbang Nusantara), and Rp 302,157,163 (Mandiri Sejahtera); Net B/C ratios greater than 1 (3.67, 10.17, 7.81, and 7.71 respectively); and IRR values far above the discount rate of 7% (86%, 248%, 190%, and 187%). The sensitivity analysis revealed that business feasibility is highly influenced by changes in selling price, production cost, and sales volume. BUMDes with larger production capacities tend to achieve higher fixed-cost efficiency per unit compared to those with smaller capacities.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the marketing channels, margins, and marketing efficiency of duck eggs in Air Hangat District, Kerinci Regency. This research was motivated by the marketing condition in which long distribution chains cause farmers to receive a lower share of the selling price. The study used a survey method with a census approach involving the entire population of duck farmers and duck egg traders as respondents. The data consisted of both primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews with farmers and traders regarding production quantity, buying and selling prices of duck eggs, and the income earned. Secondary data were collected from related institutions and previous studies. Data analysis was conducted using marketing margin, farmer’s share, and marketing efficiency calculations. The results showed that there were two marketing channel patterns: (1) farmer → consumer, and (2) farmer → collector → retailer → consumer. The total marketing margin was IDR 1,172.49 per egg, with farmer’s share values of 100% and 65.77% for each channel, respectively. The marketing efficiency values were 0% for channel I and 3.07% for channel II. These findings indicate that channel I is the most efficient and provides greater benefits to farmers. It is recommended that farmers utilize shorter marketing channels or sell directly to consumers to increase their income.
