Abstract

Sexual violence against children and adolescents is a growing concern because it can cause long-term physical, psychological, emotional, and social impacts. Cases of sexual violence occur not only in public settings but also in environments considered safe and religious, such as houses of worship, Al-Quran Education Centers (TPQ), Islamic boarding schools, and other religious educational institutions. This situation demonstrates the importance of education and prevention efforts involving children, adolescents, parents, and the community. This community service activity aims to increase public understanding and awareness of the dangers of sexual violence and preventive measures. The activity was held on June 1, 2026, at the Ar-Rahman Mosque, Lingkar Barat Village, Bengkulu City, involving approximately 30 participants consisting of children, adolescents, and parents. The method used was participatory socialization and education through material delivery, discussion, and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the forms of sexual violence, its impacts, the importance of self-protection, and reporting mechanisms in the event of sexual violence. This activity is expected to be a preventive measure in creating a safe environment and supporting the protection of children from various forms of sexual violence.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the ability to read the Qur'an for the elderly is an important form of religious guidance in order to improve the spiritual quality of the community. This study aims to describe the implementation of a program to strengthen the ability to read the Qur'an for the elderly at the Ar-Rahman Mosque, Lingkar Barat Village, Bengkulu City using the Qiroati method. The Qiroati method was chosen because it is considered effective in helping elderly participants understand and pronounce the hijaiyah letters properly and correctly according to the rules of tajwid. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with a total of 10 elderly participants. The main resource person in this activity was an informant with the initials S as a teacher in the program. The results of the study indicate that the Qiroati method is able to gradually improve the ability to read the Qur'an in the elderly, despite obstacles such as limited memory and learning speed. However, with a patient approach, repetition of the material, and consistent guidance, participants showed positive developments in reading the Qur'an. This program is expected to continue as a form of religious empowerment for the elderly in the community.

Abstract

This study examines the concepts of habitus and cultural capital of students in Pierre Bourdieu’s perspective within the educational context. The background of this research is based on educational inequality that is not only influenced by academic factors but also by social structures shaping students’ dispositions and the distribution of cultural capital within families and schools. The aim of this study is to analyze how habitus and cultural capital are explained in Bourdieu’s perspective, how both operate in educational practices, and to identify research gaps and contributions from previous studies. The method used is a literature review with a systematic literature review approach of relevant journals and books published between 2016–2026. The findings indicate that habitus is formed through long-term internalization of social experiences, while cultural capital serves as a cultural resource influencing students’ achievement, aspirations, and positions within the education system. Education is understood as a field that both reproduces and transforms social structures through the distribution of cultural capital. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that educational inequality is the result of interactions among habitus, cultural capital, and school structure. The recommendation suggests further empirical studies exploring students’ habitus in more specific local contexts and considering contemporary social factors such as digital capital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the variations of qirā’āt in QS. Al-Baqarah verse 205 and to examine the meaning of fasād contained within it, as well as its relevance to contemporary environmental issues. This research employs a qualitative method based on library research, using thematic interpretation (mawḍū‘ī) and linguistic approaches to Qur’anic exegesis. The data were collected from the Qur’an, classical and contemporary tafsīr works, as well as literature on qirā’āt and environmental studies. The findings reveal that there are variations in the readings of yuhlika (active) and yuhlaku (passive), along with differences in the grammatical position (i‘rāb) of al-ḥarth and al-nasl. These variations produce complementary meanings, where the active form emphasizes human beings as the agents of destruction, while the passive form highlights the widespread consequences. The concept of fasād in this verse encompasses not only moral and social corruption but also carries a strong ecological dimension. In the contemporary context, the concept of fasād is highly relevant to environmental issues such as deforestation, overexploitation of natural resources, and global ecological crises. The integrative analysis of qirā’āt and tafsīr demonstrates that the Qur’an provides a comprehensive conceptual framework for understanding destruction both as an action and as a consequence. Therefore, this verse can serve as a normative foundation for developing environmental awareness and ethics based on Qur’anic values.

Abstract

This research examines the variations in qirā’āt (canonical recitations) of Surah Al-Mā’idah verse 95, focusing on the phrase fajazā’un mithlu mā qatala mina al-an‘ām and its implications for meaning construction and legal interpretation. The diversity of qirā’āt in this verse presents not only phonological differences but also variations in syntactic and semantic structures, particularly regarding the position of the word mithl, which can be interpreted as an adjective (na‘at), a genitive construction (iḍāfah), or a direct object (maf‘ūl bih). These distinctions influence the understanding of the concept of mithliyyah (resemblance) in determining kaffārah (expiation) for violations of iḥrām. Using a qualitative approach based on library research, this study analyzes qirā’āt data from classical tafsīr and qirā’āt texts, correlating them with legal constructions across various schools of Islamic jurisprudence (madhāhib). The findings indicate that each qirā’ah provides nuanced meanings: some emphasize general resemblance, others highlight more specific equivalence, and some underscore the implementational aspect of the penalty. These differences lead to two primary tendencies in jurisprudence: the approach of physical resemblance (al-mithliyyah al-ṣūriyyah) and the approach of value equivalence (al-qīmah). This study concludes that the diversity of qirā’āt does not alter the fundamental substance of the law but rather enriches the scope of ijtihād in determining fair forms of compensation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) cooperative learning model in the eighth-grade Hindu Religious Education course at Madyama Widyalaya Jnana Dharma Sastra, Buleleng. The research background stems from a monotonous, teacher-centered learning process that results in suboptimal student participation and interaction. Therefore, an innovative participatory learning model is highly needed to facilitate student cooperation and active engagement within groups. This research employs a qualitative approach to thoroughly investigate the dynamics of learning implementation. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth teacher interviews, and documentation studies. The analysis focuses on the planning, execution, learning interactions, and evaluation processes of STAD. Furthermore, the study examines the obstacles educators face and their problem-solving efforts in managing heterogeneous learning groups. The findings indicate that implementing the STAD model positively creates a more active, collaborative, and student-centered classroom atmosphere. Through heterogeneous group discussions and individual quizzes, students' courage to express opinions and their learning responsibilities have significantly improved. Teachers successfully overcame class management obstacles by developing specialized STAD-based lesson plans and providing more contextual learning media.

Abstract

Hindu teachings are derived from the Vedas, which are challenging for students to understand, believe in, and practice. Therefore, relevant methods are needed to enable students to grasp them, such as storytelling. One traditional story for building student character is the story of Arjuna Tapa, which depicts Arjuna's spiritual journey to achieve holiness and a deeper understanding of himself, the world, and his relationship with God. The purpose of this research is to determine the structure, function, and meaning of the Arjuna Tapa story as a medium for Hindu religious education and character education to strengthen the disciplined character of class X students at SMK N 3 Sukawati. The results of this study are: 1) The structure of the Arjuna Tapa story consists of an introduction (premise and purpose of asceticism), the process of asceticism and sacrifice, the granting of gifts and forms of teaching, and the application of teachings in everyday life. 2) The function of the Arjuna Tapa story includes learning about challenges and sacrifices in the asceticism process, perseverance in facing tests, consistency in carrying out tasks, achievement through discipline and sacrifice, and being an example for others. 3) The meaning of the Arjuna Tapa story includes perseverance in achieving goals, self-control and resisting temptation, sacrifice as part of discipline, consistency in effort, responsibility towards oneself, strength in simplicity and sincerity, and achievement through disciplined effort.

Abstract

Pendidikan akhlak merupakan aspek penting dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik sejak usia sekolah dasar. Namun dalam kenyataannya tidak semua lulusan SD ISLAM NURUL BAROKAH Kec.Sumberbaru melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Sebagian dari mereka memilih bekerja di luar daerah pada usia yang relatif muda sehingga berpotensi terpengaruh oleh lingkungan pergaulan yang kurang baik. Kondisi ini dapat memengaruhi perubahan perilaku dan akhlak mereka ketika kembali ke lingkungan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi akhlak sebagian lulusan sekolah Dasar tersebut yang tidak melanjutkan pendidikan, serta merumuskan inovasi pembinaan akhlak berbasis masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari guru, orang tua, dan tokoh masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan perilaku pada sebagian lulusan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain lingkungan kerja, pergaulan di luar daerah, serta kurangnya pembinaan setelah mereka tidak lagi berada di lingkungan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi pembinaan akhlak yang melibatkan sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menawarkan inovasi berupa program “Ngopeni Akhlak Bâbâna Orèng Ngodâ’”, yaitu upaya pembinaan akhlak generasi muda melalui kegiatan keagamaan, pembinaan karakter, serta kegiatan sosial masyarakat. Program ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat nilai-nilai moral dan akhlak pada generasi muda sehingga mereka tetap memiliki karakter yang baik meskipun tidak melanjutkan pendidikan formal.

Abstract

The transformation of fiqh learning in the digital era has become both a challenge and an opportunity to improve the quality of Islamic education. Numerous studies have examined the use of digital media in learning; however, research integrating interactive media, audiovisual media, and gamification in fiqh learning remains relatively limited. This study aims to analyze the role of these three approaches in supporting the transformation of fiqh learning to become more effective and aligned with the characteristics of the digital generation. This research employed a library research method using a descriptive qualitative approach by reviewing books, scientific articles, and previous studies relevant to the topic. Data were analyzed through content analysis to identify patterns, concepts, and findings related to the utilization of digital technology in fiqh learning. The findings indicate that audiovisual media are effective in visualizing practical worship materials, interactive media enhance student engagement in the learning process, and gamification increases learning motivation and participation through game elements such as points, levels, and rewards. The integration of these three approaches contributes to improving students’ understanding of fiqh concepts, learning outcomes, and the creation of a more engaging, active, and student-centered learning environment. Therefore, strengthening teachers’ digital competencies and providing adequate technological infrastructure are essential factors in optimizing the transformation of fiqh learning in the digital era.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) learning at STAI Al Washliyah Barabai. AI is used by students to quickly search for evidence, understand material, and obtain Islamic legal information. However, the use of AI also raises various problems, such as a lack of verification of legal sources, dependence on instant answers, and low critical thinking skills. This study used field research with a descriptive qualitative  approach. The research subjects consisted of lecturers and students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at STAI Al Washliyah Barabai. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of editing, classification, and interpretation. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results show that AI provides benefits in helping students understand Islamic jurisprudence material, obtain Islamic legal information, and simplify difficult-to-understand concepts. However, the use of AI also raises several problems, namely low verification of legal sources, the emergence of dependence on AI, and differences between AI answers and lecturers' explanations and Islamic jurisprudence references.
