Abstract

Human resources are essential to delivering organizational performance. Motivation is one factor that can improve employee performance. Motivated and achievement-oriented employees are more likely to set challenging goals, persist in the face of obstacles, seek opportunities for improvement, and demonstrate high levels of performance. This research investigates the mediating role of achievement behavior on employee motivation and performance. To test the research model, the author used a structured survey approach on employees at a government agency in Bandung with 126 employees. Before testing the data, the author first carried out a validity test by referring to the outer loading value of the research instrument and the cronbach alpha value, which met the testing requirements. The author uses a non-parametric approach, namely Partial Least Squares (PLS). The research results indicate that achievement thinking influences employee performance as well, and achievement behavior influences performance. The implications of the research show that employee motives, such as a strong mind, can encourage enthusiasm to carry out work optimally so that they can complete the task as well as possible. This research explores the mediating role of achievement behavior on employee motivation and performance. The research has shortcomings, namely that it is cross-sectional, so it only applies at one time and examines the impact of achievement behavior on employee motivation and performance. To strengthen these findings, further research with more representative samples is important.

We tested the data using validity and reliability tests and then analyzed it using path analysis. Research results indicate that transformational leadership and communication significantly influence employee performance. Transformational leadership and communication influence 81.0% of employee performance, while the remaining 19.0% is caused by other variables or factors that were not researched. This research focuses on transformational leadership and effective communication to improve employee performance. It contributes to increasing effectiveness and communication, which has implications for improving employee performance, especially in the environmental management consulting services sector. By investing in leadership development and promoting effective communication strategies, organizations can create an environment that maximizes employee potential and enhances performance. This research only discusses transformational leadership and effective communication to improve employee performance. However, several factors can still enhance performance, and this research only uses a small sample, so the results cannot be generalized.

Abstract

There is still space for improvement in the application and usage of technology and information in the sales business, as indicated by the significant percentage of clients who continue to make manual purchases. An example would be the present Sriwijaya Herbal Sin Cigarettes retailer. The Sin Cigarette Herbal Sriwijaya stockist shop employs a traditional sales system where consumers physically visit the shop to make purchases. This research aims to enhance consumer convenience by developing a sales information system for herbal cigarettes, enabling online access to sales. This study employs a descriptive research methodology and a waterfall system development approach. This approach involves sequential steps, including needs analysis, design, code production, testing, and support. Data collection from the users was followed by the design and development stage of the program, employing the PHP programming language for implementation. Subsequently, an evaluation was conducted on the functioning system. The outcome is a sales information system that is anticipated to possess the capability to process data into high-quality information efficiently, seamlessly integrate various components, and serve as a repository for data storage. With the existence of this sales information system for herbal cigarettes, the processing of sales data has been computerized automatically, enabling automated report generation. This study introduces an internet-based sales information system for the Sriwijaya Herbal Cigarette Stockist Shop. It replaces traditional sales procedures, expands market reach, streamlines report generation, provides comprehensive buyer information, and maximizes profitability. The innovation employs the waterfall system development methodology and the PHP programming language to enhance retail operations' effectiveness and efficiency. An inherent constraint of this study is the need for the online-based sales information system to address all challenges the Sriwijaya Herbal Cigarette Stockist Shop faces, including technological infrastructure and user proficiency issues. Reliable internet connectivity is crucial for the system's effectiveness, which may require improvements in certain regions. Additionally, employees and customers may require additional training to use the new systems proficiently, which should be considered in terms of time and resources for this research.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of LDR and BOPO on ROA at a bank in Bandung. Return on Assets (ROA) highlights the Company's ability to produce revenue from its operations by efficiently using its assets. Factors affecting Return on Assets (ROA) encompass the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and the Operating Expenses to Operating Income Ratio (BOPO), all of which impact ROA. The study's population consisted of four years of financial records from a bank in Bandung, encompassing all four quarters. The sample was selected using the time series approach, consisting of 16 financial reports from 2018 to 2021. The applied data testing method was multiple linear regression, utilizing a significance level of 5% alpha. The findings indicated that LDR did not exert a significant influence on ROA. Despite LDR exhibiting a positive coefficient, the significance value is above the conventional threshold, suggesting that the impact of LDR on ROA is minimal and statistically insignificant. Conversely, BOPO substantially impacts ROA, with a negative coefficient and a minimal significance value. The rise in BOPO, signifying diminished operational efficiency, adversely affects ROA, suggesting that elevated operating costs diminish the bank's profitability. Subsequent research indicated that the regression model accounts for most of the variation in ROA, demonstrating a robust association between LDR and BOPO with ROA. It is advised that the Company's management concentrate on optimizing operating cost management to enhance ROA. Implementable strategies encompass conducting frequent audits to identify and mitigate waste and enhancing the efficiency of operational procedures. Despite LDR not demonstrating a significant impact, it is crucial to monitor this ratio to ensure the bank's liquidity and financial stability. This study also advocates for additional research to investigate other variables that may influence ROA, along with a comprehensive examination of operational elements to enhance profitability.
