Abstract

In discussing the word kaffah in the Al-Qur'an, it is only found in one verse, the meaning is "whole", which is only found in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 208, as for the problem that will be discussed in this research, it is how all humans can understand that the existence of Allah SWT and the Messengers and being able to know that all the blessings received by humans are from the power of Allah SWT. So the background of this research is so that humans know the Oneness of Allah SWT. And that only Islam is the truest religion, namely the Islamic religion that was conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad to all mankind. This research uses a library method, namely reviewing data and sources in this research by taking references from several books and journals related to the meaning of kaffah. The interpretive method used by the mufassir in this research is very different, such as Ibn Katsir's interpretation in the book Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-'Adhim is a Muqarran (comparative) interpretation, while Wahbah Al-Zuhaili's interpretation in the book Tafsir Al-Munir is a Tahilili (examining) interpretation. Verse by verse and letter by letter according to the order in the Qur'an). The results of this research are so that readers can know and understand and spread the religion of Islam and become part of Islam as a whole without exception or only half of it. As for Ibn Kathir's opinion in the Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-'Adhim, the meaning of kaffah is "whole", in embracing Islam because in this verse Allah SWT. Ordered all his ummah to embrace Islam as a whole without exception. Wahbah Al-Zuhaili's opinion in the Book of Tafsir Al-Munir means kaffah is "whole", namely that humans as a whole convert to Islam and not just partially or half-heartedly and apply the teachings of the Islamic religion in everyday life and practice them with other humans.

Abstract

The halal industry has experienced significant growth along with the increasing demand for halal products in the domestic and international markets. This study aims to analyze government policies in supporting the expansion of the national halal industry into the global market. The research method used is a literature study by collecting data from scientific journals, books, and articles from academic databases such as SINTA, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate, which were analyzed descriptively. The results show that government policies can be understood through three main dimensions: regulation and legal framework through Law No. 33 of 2014; facilitation and guidance through halal certification programs and MSME development; and economic diplomacy and international market penetration. The halal industry's contribution to the economy reached USD 42.33 billion in export value with a surplus of USD 31.23 billion in January-October 2023. Synergy between the government and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) through the DSN-MUI fatwa and the application of the concepts of economic justice, community economics, and independent economics strengthens the halal industry ecosystem. The study concluded that comprehensive government policies have shown positive results, although challenges such as global competition and differences in halal standards between countries still require continued attention to strengthen Indonesia's position as a global halal industry hub.

Abstract

This qualitative study examines leadership styles in pesantren and their influence on the quality of santri. Conducted at a pesantren in East Java, data were collected through in-depth interviews with leaders, administrators, and santri, participatory observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal that democratic and transformational leadership styles positively affect santri quality, evidenced by enhanced discipline in religious practices, noble character development, and greater independence. In contrast, authoritarian leadership tends to foster passivity among santri. Key challenges include limited managerial competence among leaders and low adaptation to digital technology, which may conflict with traditional pesantren values. The study recommends inclusive leadership practices, improved managerial training for administrators, and the development of innovative curricula rooted in Islamic values. Overall, santri quality can be optimized through flexible, holistic-oriented leadership approaches.

Abstract

This study examines the contextualization of hadith in contemporary education, focusing on the values of lifelong learning contained in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. Contextualization is carried out through understanding the textual and historical meaning of hadith and its relevance to modern educational problems such as moral crisis, gender equality, and technological development. The purpose of this study is to explain how educational hadith can be actualized in contemporary learning, specifically through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. The research method uses a qualitative approach through literature review with content analysis. The results show that hadiths, such as the obligation to seek knowledge and the encouragement of lifelong learning, provide a philosophical basis for modern education. With a contextual approach, hadith values can be effectively integrated into modern learning systems through CTL, character education, and social projects based on hadith values. This study confirms that hadith have high elasticity and relevance in addressing the challenges of contemporary education.

Abstract

Generation Z Muslims are growing up in a fast-paced digital era marked by complex psychosocial challenges, requiring strong mental resilience (psychological resilience). This study examines how the internalization of the value of ṣabr (patience) derived from the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) contributes to the development of psychological resilience among this group. Employing a library research method with qualitative content analysis, the study analyzes authentic hadith texts alongside literature in psychology and Islamic psychology. The findings reveal that ṣabr in the hadith perspective is not a passive attitude but an active form of steadfastness involving self-control, perseverance, and sincere effort in facing trials, performing acts of obedience, and avoiding sinful behavior. The internalization of this value shapes cognitive schemas that transform perceptions of hardship by viewing difficulties as meaningful tests, means of expiation of sins, and pathways to closeness to Allah (SWT). This process functions as an effective form of religious coping, enabling Muslim Generation Z to engage in cognitive reframing, regulate negative emotions, and mitigate digital stressors such as social comparison and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Consequently, the internalization of ṣabr not only enhances resilience in real-life challenges but also fosters “digital resilience,” and the study concludes that integrating the value of ṣabr from hadith with contemporary psychological principles provides a robust spiritual framework for Muslim Generation Z to develop mental toughness, maintain psychological well-being, and adapt healthily to the complexities of the modern era.

Abstract

This study examines the role of hadith in character education, particularly in shaping the moral values of young Muslims in the era of globalization. The growing moral degradation demands a comprehensive approach rooted in Islamic values. Using library research as the method, the study analyzes selected hadiths alongside relevant academic literature on character education. Findings reveal that hadith plays a significant role in fostering values such as justice, patience, honesty, compassion, empathy, and ethical conduct in worship and daily interactions. The implementation of hadith is not only normative but also practical, as demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary methods in educating his family and companions. Moreover, the family, as the primary educational institution, has a strategic role in instilling moral values through habituation, guidance, and exemplary behavior. Nevertheless, modern challenges such as globalization, popular culture, and limited parental control over technology often undermine children’s character development. Therefore, this study emphasizes that strengthening moral education based on hadith is an effective strategy to address the moral crisis and to nurture a generation with noble character.
