Abstract

Bulk ship handling activities cannot be separated from the ship handling service plan, namely the arrival and departure of ships. Before the process of arrival and departure of the ship, several activities are carried out which are determined in advance by the shipping company together with the port manager and must be conveyed to the ship's side. The loading and unloading of ships coming and going, loading and unloading coal, requesting ship needs, handling clearance in and clearance out documents through Syahbandar manually whose service hours are limited, starting from 8 o'clock to 10 pm due to the shahbandar class which is still classified as KUPP class III, and also greatly limiting the movement and service of the ship service served. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence the management of clearance documents in and out becomes longer, limited operating hours and delays in the loading and unloading process of ships, which are agentized by PT. Bahari Eka Nusantara Sangkulirang Branch, East Kalimantan. The approach method used is a descriptive quantitative method, while the data collection technique uses questionnaires, documentation, observations, and literature studies so that the influence / not between the manual clearance in and out system can be found on the service of the ship being inundated. The results of this study show that there is an influence between the manual clearance in and out system on the service of the ship being inundated.

Abstract

In the offshore oil and gas industry in Indonesia is experiencing development , see the potential for very high demand for offshore installations, such as oil platforms, drilling rigs, etc. As a result, many shipping companies operate offshore vessels, in the activities of mining companies, and operating offshore oil drilling installations, a safety and security system is needed because this is an important factor that must be considered and becomes the basis for decision making in making decisions. determine seaworthiness in shipping, both in terms of facilities in the form of ships and infrastructure such as navigation systems and human resources involved in it, to reduce and minimize an accident on a ship. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence the ship survey has on the ship's feasibility in the case of a client at PT Makara Jaya Marine. The approach method used is quantitative data , while data collection uses observation techniques, literature studies and questionnaires (questionnaires) so that the causes of problems can be found using quantitative data analysis techniques . The results showed that the effect of the ship survey on shipworthiness in the client case study at PT Makara Jaya Marine based on hypothesis testing with the t test, it was found that t count = 11.169 and after consulting with t table at a significant level of 5% and n = 28 shows t table = 2,048. Because t count is in the rejection area of Ho (11,169 > 2,048) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results show that there is a low loading factor weight on the ship survey variable and the shipworthiness variable to overcome it by trying to improve the implementation of the shipworthiness survey in client company periodically to ensure the condition of the ship for safety.

Abstract

Health is very important for all humans, because without good health it will be difficult to carry out daily activities. According to the Health Law Number 36 Year 2009 Article 1 "Health is a healthy state, both physically, mentally, spiritually and socially that allows everyone to live socially and economically productive". In the world of work, health is one of the main things that workers must have to do their work. Including in the world of shipping both on land and at sea. Workers at sea, especially ship crews at work, must be in good health so that they can carry out activities on board as much as possible. Before the ship's crew boarded the ship, the ship's crew had to do a medical check-up as a mandatory requirement to board the ship. Every three or six months the ship's crew will make a crew change because the work contract has expired and the ship will look for a replacement crew to work on the ship. During the Covid-19 pandemic, crew changes experienced obstacles because the spread of this virus was quite fast. All regions in the world are currently implementing strict health protocols to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Especially for ship crews, they also implement strict procedures to deal with Covid-19. During a pandemic. During this pandemic, the challenges faced by the manning division are very high where the process of changing ship crews is very difficult to carry out, while the crew on board the ship has expired. Another challenge faced when changing crews is that there is no standby crew so that the crew's working period on the ship is not in accordance with the previously agreed Sea Work Agreement.
