Abstract

Bojongsari Village is one of the villages in Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency. The livestock and agricultural sectors play an important role in the economy of Bojongsari Village. A total of 27 residents of Bojongsari Village own cattle, resulting in an increase in the amount of livestock manure produced. Poorly managed manure creates environmental pollution. One solution that can be applied to reduce this waste is by processing cow dung into solid organic fertilizer that can be reused by the community to support the agricultural sector. Therefore, the community service activity carried out in Bojongsari Village focused on training in the production of solid organic fertilizer from cow dung. The series of activities included coordination with Bojongsari Village officials, a survey of cattle pen locations, socialization and technical training on the production of solid organic fertilizer, as well as monitoring and evaluation. This program was positively received by local residents, especially farmer-livestock groups. Members of these groups gained new insights into the importance of managing livestock manure waste and obtained hands-on experience in making organic fertilizer. The resulting fertilizer can be used after undergoing a fermentation process for three weeks.

Abstract

This study aims to develop elementary school students literacy media through the use of visual media based on Pojok Cerdas, in the form of bulletin boards and literacy posters, at SDN Gambyok 1. The research utilized a Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving active participation of teachers and students in each research phase: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were lower-grade students and teachers at SDN Gambyok 1, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the developed visual media effectively enhances reading interest, information appeal, and student engagement in literacy activities. Literacy posters and bulletin boards play a significant role as educational and attractive tools for delivering information, while also supporting thematic learning aligned with the characteristics of elementary school-aged children. The study recommends the use of similar visual media as an alternative strategy to improve literacy culture in elementary schools, particularly those with limited library facilities

Abstract

At the beginning of the 2025/2026 school year, teachers at Islamic Elementary Schools (MI) began implementing the deep learning approach within the Merdeka Curriculum, including teachers in Rembang District, Purbalingga Regency, Central Java. However, unfortunately, not all teachers have the skills to implement deep learning within the Merdeka Curriculum. This community service activity aims to describe the implementation of MI teacher guidance in implementing deep learning within the Merdeka Curriculum. This community service activity was conducted using the service learning method. Data was collected through interviews and documentation. The community service activity was carried out in four stages. First, identifying the needs of MI teachers in implementing deep learning within the Merdeka Curriculum. Second, designing coaching materials based on the results of the needs identification. Third, delivering material on the concept of deep learning within the Merdeka Curriculum through educational seminars. Fourth, diagnosing and providing solutions to the difficulties faced by MI teachers in implementing deep learning within the Merdeka Curriculum through interactive dialogue activities during educational seminars.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to develop and implement a religious-based contextual learning model by utilizing local potential, namely the Bumiayu Archaeological Museum in Brebes Regency, Central Java, as a learning medium in elementary schools. The program was carried out through collaboration between the community service team of Peradaban University and SD Islam Ta'allumul Huda Bumiayu, with a focus on developing learning modules and media entitled "Tracing Historical Traces at the Bumiayu Archaeological Museum." The approaches used include Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), experiential learning, and inquiry-based learning, which emphasize the active involvement of students in the process of exploration, observation, and reflection on Islamic values contained in museum artifacts. The results of the activity show that this learning model is able to simultaneously improve students' understanding of historical concepts and Islamic values. A total of 90% of students demonstrated good reflective skills in relating archaeological findings to Islamic teachings, while teachers stated that the developed modules were very helpful in integrating local potential into thematic learning. In addition, positive responses from the school reinforced plans to develop this program as part of the Pancasila-Based Islamic Student Profile and the School Activator Program.

Abstract

The Economic Sector is the heart of most people's lives, especially in areas with tourism potential. This community service research aims to explore the economic potential of Kembang Village in Pacitan Regency. Considering the challenges faced by the community after the Covid-19 pandemic, a people-centered economic approach through the optimization of natural resource management based on fish, which is abundant in Pacitan Regency, is considered a solution that needs to be implemented. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies to obtain complete information on the potential of natural resources in Kembang Village. The main focus of this research is on optimizing natural resource management, which is expected to trigger economic circulation, especially in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. One of the strategies proposed as a result of the research is through training and implementation of food processing technology, particularly in the context of making fish meatballs on skewers. As a form of cuisine, fish meatballs on skewers have a unique taste, aroma, and character and can be publicized through traditional culinary festivals and promoted as a specialty of the village. This is intended to improve the economy of the people of Kembang Village, Pacitan.

Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah mendidik siswa dalam keterampilan menulis karya ilmiah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan mereka dalam menghasilkan literatur ilmiah dengan mengikuti konvensi dan sistematika penulisan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri atas tiga tahapan yaitu koordinasi perencanaan dan persiapan kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan melalui metode interaktif yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Pengabdian ini melibatkan 35 siswa, terdiri dari Anggota Eskul KIR (Karya Ilmiah Remaja) dan perwakilan dari tiap eskul lain. Di awal kegiatan diadakan pretest tentang pengetahuan siswa dalam penulisan, hasil pretes secara lisan sebelum kegiatan hanya 25% siswa yang bisa menjawab pertanyaan. Setelah kegiatan diadakan postest secara lisan meningkat menjadi 75% siswa berhasil menjawab. Sehingga presentase peningkatan sebesar 50% (dari preetest ke postest). Konstribusi hasil PkM pada siswa adalah peningkatan pengetahuan tentang menulis karya ilmiah dan memotivasi siswa untuk menulis. Hasil pengabdian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di SMA Negeri 1 Padamara berjalan sukses, terbukti dengan tingginya antusiasme yang ditunjukkan para siswa pada sesi tanya jawab dan diskusi antar peserta mengenai kesulitan yang dihadapi dalam menulis karya ilmiah. Pengalaman belajar yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini berpotensi mengubah proses kognitif siswa, menumbuhkan kecenderungan untuk menulis. Selain itu, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karya ilmiah diharapkan akan meningkat secara signifikan setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini.

Abstract

The problem of student learning difficulties that receive less attention can affect their learning motivation.  The learning process will be successful when students have the motivation to learn. The purpose of Community Service Activities is to support students by providing learning motivation, solving learning problems that are being faced. This community service activity was conducted with lectures and discussions with grade 9 students, totaling 36. The stages of activities that have been carried out include greetings, introductions, apprehensions, video playback, delivery of material, question and answer discussions, and delivery of learning motivation. Community service activities receive support from schools through activity permits, providing meeting rooms and LCDs, and managing target students. The activity was conducive. Communication was established between the speaker and the student audience of community service activities. Community service activities run concurrently, student self-reflection activities need to be held to identify student problems and find solutions to student learning problems, so that problems are resolved immediately, and learning achievement can be achieved.

Abstract

Wakaf uang berjangka merupakan salah satu bentuk ijtihad dalam instrumen filantropi Islam yang memiliki potensi besar dalam memperkuat kemandirian ekonomi umat. Namun, tingkat literasi dan pemahaman masyarakat, khususnya pimpinan dan anggota organisasi keagamaan, masih relatif rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran pimpinan serta anggota Pimpinan Cabang Muhammadiyah (PCM) Pemalang mengenai konsep, mekanisme, dan urgensi wakaf uang berjangka sebagai instrumen filantropi Islam yang produktif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Minggu, 14 Desember 2025, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 60 orang bertempat di SD Mutu Taman, Pemalang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, diskusi interaktif, dan evaluasi pemahaman peserta. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai wakaf uang berjangka serta munculnya komitmen awal untuk mengimplementasikan wakaf uang berjangka dalam program filantropi PCM Taman, Pemalang. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model penguatan filantropi Islam berbasis wakaf produktif di lingkungan Muhammadiyah.

Abstract

The Islamic sacred architecture has been a deep expression of theological symbolism, community identity as well as socio-economic organization of the Muslim societies. In addition to the main role of worship, mosques and waqf-related religious complexes were historically multifunctional and fulfilled the roles of education, social welfare, governance, and economic redistribution. Their architectural shapes, which are marked by qiblah orientation, geometrical harmony, spatial hierarchy and connection with the environment, are products of the Islamic cosmology and ethical values that combine the spiritual piety with the social life of the day. Nonetheless, modern urban conditions characterized by the dynamic population growth, environmental pollution, and the rise of demands towards the infrastructural efficiency are changing the design, construction, and management of sacred spaces. The appearance of smart urbanization in the world and the demand of data-driven city planning and digital infrastructures are both challenges and opportunities to Islamic sacred architecture. In this dynamic environment, this community service  looks at how Islamic religious architecture, especially the mosques and the use of waqf to establish religious complexes, can be redefined as part of smart city ecosystem such that they can be economically sustainable and digitally empowered. The literature review used by the study is based on a qualitative systematic literature review approach, which is based on recent peer-reviewed studies published in the period of 2020-2025 and aimed at exploring how digital technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and smart energy management systems, can be integrated in the design, construction, and operation of sacred buildings. The results indicate that these technologies are associated with a high level of efficiency in the operation, cost reduction in lifecycle and performance, as well as inclusion of community involvement, without losing the Islamic architectural identity and religious ethics. Moreover, the community service  mentions the contribution of the Islamic social financial instruments, especially waqf and zakat, which are enhanced by digital opportunities, to the economic stability in the long run. It draws the conclusion that Islamic sacred architecture can become strong, economically efficient and spiritually significant institutions in modern smart cities when smart technologies are carefully communicated with the Islamic value system and contemporary smart cities.
