Abstract

Kiai Ihsan dikenal spesialis ulama di bidang tasawuf, namun selama ini tidak ada yang menyangka bahwa dirinya juga merupakan mufasir yang kompeten. Hal itu dapat dibuktikan dalam karya serialnya yang berjudul Sirāj al-ṬālibÄ«n, sebuah kitab tasawuf yang mengomentari kitab Minhāj al-‘ĀbidÄ«n karya al-GhazālÄ«. Penafsiran seringkali dilakukan oleh kiai Ihsan melalui penggalan ayat-ayat al-Qur`an yang disitir dari Minhāj al-‘ĀbidÄ«n. Penggalan ayat-ayat itu secara keseluruhan berjumlah 259, dengan rincian 79 di jilid pertama, dan 180 di jilid kedua. Kemudian penggalan ayat-ayat al-Qur`an dari Minhāj al-‘ĀbidÄ«n ia tarik ke dalam Sirāj al-ṬālibÄ«n untuk ditafsirkan. Di dalam Sirāj al-ṬālibÄ«n banyak ditemukan penafsiran-penafsiran yang sangat khas. Tulisan ini akan berpijak pada pendekatan teori intertekstual yang biasa diterapkan dalam dunia sastra. Interteks dianggap menjadi landasan analisis yang tepat terhadap sebuah hasil penafsiran yang diklaim terpengaruh (baca: mengutip) oleh khazanah literatur ulama terdahulu. Berdasarkan temuan penulis ada sembilas belas sumber rujukan yang digunakan oleh kiai Ihsan dalam menafsirkan potongan ayat-ayat al-Qur`an di dalam Sirāj al-ṬālibÄ«n, yang terdiri dari 10 kitab tafsir, 3 kitab tasawuf, 2 mu’jam, 1 kitab Ulum al-Qur’an serta 3 kitab yang belum diketahui secara pasti. TafsÄ«r alKhāzin menempati urutan terbanyak, dirujuk dirujuk 113 kali. Yang menarik, TafsÄ«r alJalālayn yang dianggap merupakan kitab tafsir paling populer di dunia pesantren justru menempati urutan ketiga.

Abstract

This paper examines the language style contained in the verses of the human creation process. The problems studied include the stylistics of the Qur'an from the aspect of morphology and its implications for the meaning contained therein. The choice of words and the structure of the sentence form in this discussion looks unique, because they have different editors in each mention. This research is part of library research. The steps taken in this research are: a) Collecting verses about the human creation process; (b) identifying the verse of the human creation process by considering two things, the first, that the words have a set of morphological meanings. The second, that these morphological meanings are presented through various constructions; (c) listing the results of identification; (d) analyzing the relationship between the construction of the verses of the human creation process with each other, both in terms of conformity and contradiction; (e) describing the analysis results and concluding. The results of this study indicate that the morphological aspects contained in the verse in the process of human creation show the miraculous side of the Qur'an. The difference in the editorial of the al-Qur`an does not lead to deviations from the meaning to be conveyed. In fact, this has the effect of meaning which explains and strengthens one another. Keywords: Stylistics, Morphology, I'jaz al-Qur'an, Implications. Abstrak Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam ayat-ayat proses penciptaan manusia. Masalah yang dikaji mencakup stilistika al-Qur`an dari aspek morfologi dan implikasinya terhadap makna yang terkandung di dalamnya. Pilihan kata dan struktur bentuk kalimat pada pembahasan ini terlihat unik, karena mempunyai perbedaan redaksi dalam setiap penyebutannya. Penelitian ini bagian dari penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (a) Mengumpulkan ayat-ayat tentang proses penciptaan manusia. (b) Mengidentifikasi ayat proses penciptaan manusia dengan mempertimbangkan dua hal, yaitu pertama, bahwa kata-kata itu memiliki sekumpulan makna morfologis. Kedua, bahwa makna-makna morfologis tersebut disajikan melalui konstruksi yang beragam. (c) Membuat daftar hasil identifikasi. (d) Menganalisa hubungan konstruksi ayat-ayat proses penciptaan manusia satu sama lain, baik hubungan persesuaian maupun pertentangan. (e) Mendeskripsikan hasil analisa dan menyimpulkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aspek morfologi yang terdapat dalam ayat proses penciptaan manusia menunjukkan sisi kemu’jizatan al-Qur`an. Perbedaan redaksi al-Qur`an tidak membawa penyimpangan terhadap makna yang ingin disampaikan. Justru hal ini membawa pengaruh pemaknaan yang saling menjelaskan dan menguatkan antara satu dengan lainnya. Kata Kunci: Stilistika, Morfologi, I’jaz al-Qur’an, Implikasi

Abstract

Abstract The study of manuscript is one of the popular topics in the academical world. Especially for exegesis manuscript, it is rarely found in the archipelago. This research is important for preserving the cultural heritage in the form of manuscript. This article examines the codicological aspects of the manuscript. By using codicological discourse analysis, this research concludes that Jalālain Exegesis Manuscript of Kyai Nur Hisyam Mandirejo was written on European paper. He wrote the manuscript into two volumes for studying and learning significance. He finished writing the first volume in 1269 H. and the second volume in 1361 H. The manuscript is still quite clear to read, while the paper has weathered and even there are some papers lost and broken. By using critical discourse analysis, this research reveals that the manuscript consists of various additional information, such as grammatical or naá¸wu explanation of certain words, stories related to certain sentences in the exegesis and ma'na gandhul pegon (interlinier text). By comparing the manuscript to Jalālain Exegesis of printed version that corrected by Muḥammad Dhu al-Kifl Zain al-DÄ«n al-Waá¹­anÄ«, it was printed by Dār al-Kutub al-Islāmiyyah on January 2011th M. / Muḥarram 1432 H. The researcher reveals that both of them are similar text but have different main text for the guidelines copying process. Some differences found in several sides of study. This research concludes that there are three patterned errors of manuscript writing, like about the writing of لا, Ù‡ (ha`) and Ù‰ (alif layyinah).

Abstract

One of the most popular studies discussed in the Qur'anic study today is called living Qur'an. Although its phenomenological cultural nuances, but it is still included in the study of scriptures. Since living Qur'an is basically began from the phenomenon of the Qur'an in Every Day Life. This study discusses not focused on study of texts of the Qur'an, but in realm of the importance and practical function of the Qur'an in Muslim society. There are pesantrens of al-Qur'an which, in fact, make an important contribution in developing and improving Muslims interaction on the Qur'an. Their roles in creating hundreds or even more than thousands Huffāẓ al-Qur'an have proven their existences in living Qur'an. Many varieties of methods of and processes of the interaction have been done, so that Qur'an become into a live "entity" among muslim community generally and especially for students of pesantren. There are three popular pesantrens have been creating Huffāẓ al-Qura'n, called Pesantren al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta, Pesantren Tahfiẓ al-Qur'an al-Asy'ariyah Kalibeber Wonosobo, Central Java, and Pesantren An-Nur Ngrukem Bantul. All these three Islamic boarding school have proven their existence are considered very important in creating society to love al-Qur'an. It becomes important to be discussed, because the study now sought to find out how that pesantrens community interact with the Qur'an. So that the fundamental values of the Qur'an can be manifested in every muslim daily activities and then can always brings spiritual charges to thier soul.

Abstract

This article focuses on muḥkamāt and mutashābihāt from the perspective of Muqātil bin Sulaimān. Study on muḥkamāt and mutashābihāt is of importance because the implications which these topics has are not only on the aspects of linguistics, buat also on those of theology and laws. The choice of Muqātil as the case study is based on the fact that he is the first mufassir who succeeded in publishing the exegesis book of complete thirty juz of the Quran. The problem formulation of this article is the position of Muqātil's idea on muḥkamāt and mutashābihāt  in the battle of theological-political discourses in his era. To answer this, the writer makes use of the history of the schools of thought as the tool of analysis. The conclusion gained from this study is that Muqatil himself basically is not consistent in muḥkamāt and mutashābihāt. On one side, he tends to be in safe position, and on the other side is sometimes considered as mujassimah by many scholars. Such inconsistency is normal along with the growing reality surrounding Muqatil himself and his own realm of thought.

Abstract

Abstract Corruption is a chronic problem that is difficult to solve and has undermined various institutions and countries. Various eradication efforts have been carried out in a strict and systematic manner, but in fact they have never really succeeded. This shows that a legal and political approach is not the only way to deal with corruption. This research is here to investigate the views of the Qur'an on corruption, although it does not discuss specifically about corruption, it is here to respond to human problems in every era. The method used in this research is qualitative with a thematic interpretation writing model. The results of this study indicate that the Qur'an warns that corruptors will not only be tortured in the Hereafter, but will also be diminished and humiliated. The prohibition on corruption in the Qur'an is aimed to keep peace and welfare in society. Al-Qur'an's solution to tackling corruption is more focused on shaping human character, strengthening faith and improving morals. Keywords: Corruption, al-Qur`an, thematic interpretation Abstrak Korupsi menjadi persoalan kronis yang sulit dituntaskan dan telah menggerogoti berbagai lembaga maupun negara. Berbagai upaya pemberantasan telah dicanangkan secara ketat dan sistematis, namun dalam faktualnya tidak pernah benar-benar berhasil. Ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan hukum dan politik bukanlah satu-satunya cara untuk menangani korupsi. Penelitian ini hadir untuk menelisik bagaimana pandangan al-Qur`an tentang korupsi, meskipun ia tidak berbicara spesifik terkait korupsi, namun ia hadir untuk merespon persoalan manusia di setiap zaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan model penulisan tafsir tematik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa al-Qur`an memberikan peringatan bahwa koruptor selain akan disiksa di Akhirat, juga akan dibuat hina dan dipermalukan. Larangan korupsi dalam al-Qur`an ditujukan demi menjaga ketenteraman dan kesejahteraan hidup bermasyarakat. Solusi al-Qur`an untuk menanggulangi tindak korupsi lebih tertuju kepada pembentukan karakter manusia, pengokohan akidah dan perbaikan moral. Kata Kunci: Korupsi, al-Qur`an, Tafsir Tematik

Abstract

This research highlights the divergence in writing between the 1974 Menara Kudus Quranic printing and the standardized Uthmānīc style in sura Yāsīn. Having examined literatures related to the history of the Kudus version including the text itself, this research concludes that the formerdoes not follow the later in three cases: the omitting (ḥadhf) of the alif and the skeleton of the alone hamzahas well as the connected two hamzah at the beginning of a sentence. Abstract

The main idea this article explores is that the knowledge on Arabic language plays great role on the scientific Quranic exegesis. As sample, Agus Purwanto's Nalar Ayat-Ayat Semesta is chosen, merely on his interpretation on the Q. 76: 17. This research also finds Purwanto's three foundations thatemphasize the miraculous side of the Arabic language which the Quran speaks with: (1) the Paradigm of a Sains Islam”; (2) the dependency on the lexical meaning of the keywords; (3) the authors Contextualizing the meaning to only current context by ignoring its original context. Abstract

Jāmi’ Al-Bayān min Khulāṣah Suwar Al-Qur`ān by KH. Muhammad bin Sulaiman (1329 - 1412 H) Solo, Central Java, is one piece of exegesis work among the others in Indonesia which is not well-known by public. This study is aimed at introducing this exegesis work, through some topics raised here, namely the background or history of the writing, the exegesis methods, sources, systematics, and the contribution of Jāmi’ Al-Bayān min Khulāṣah Suwar Al-Qur`ān in Indonesia. This study is relevant as to bring this work to the surface to be known by the public. This study concludes that Jāmi’ Al-Bayān min Khulāṣah Suwar Al-Qur`ān is considered unique. The style of exegesis which KH. Muhammad initiated is in the form of concise commentary points as global essence of the verses. Furthermore, what makes this work of exegesis interesting is the sources of exegesis which are always present in the end of every commentary. To KH. Sulaiman, sanad is prioritized in keeping the orthodoxy of the Qur'ânic exegesis.

Abstract

In his Koreksi Terjemah Harfiyah al-Qur`an, Muḥammad Ṭālib, the amÄ«r of the Majelis Mujahidin Indonesia, accuses the official Qur'ânic translation by the Indonesian Ministry of Religion for containing digression and at the same time- supporting radicalism. This article wants to describe and examine Ṭālib's argumentations. It finds that Ṭālib's inappropriate methodology lets him criticize the manuscript over-confidently. First, He has only read it partially and could not catch the whole meaning it provides. Second,  ignoring the fact that the exegetes whom he was referring to may provide alternatives for one particular word, Ṭālib has uncarefully treated his sources.
