Abstract

Domestic violence (KDRT) constitutes a distinctive category of crime in that it unfolds within private spaces yet produces serious consequences for victims, families, and broader society. Law Number 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU PKDRT) was enacted as a legislative response to the limitations of the Criminal Code (KUHP) in addressing offenses committed within domestic settings. This paper examines how UU PKDRT constructs the criminal qualification of domestic violence, analyzes the penal sanctions it prescribes, and evaluates the extent to which this legal instrument provides meaningful protection to victims. A normative juridical method is employed, drawing on statutory and conceptual approaches. The analysis reveals that UU PKDRT introduces a significant expansion of the KDRT definition beyond mere physical violence to encompass psychological, sexual, and neglect-based harm. Nevertheless, its implementation continues to face considerable obstacles, including social stigma that discourages victim reporting, inconsistent interpretation among law enforcement actors, and the inherent tension between punitive criminal sanctions and the victim's restorative needs. The paper concludes that the effectiveness of UU PKDRT depends heavily on the coherent interplay of consistent law enforcement, sustained victim support, and broader public legal literacy.

Abstract

The accumulation of minor criminal offense (tipiring) cases represents a persistent structural problem within Indonesia's criminal justice system. This study examines the mechanisms by which restorative justice (RJ) is applied to tipiring cases at Grobogan District Police (Polres Grobogan), the challenges encountered by investigators, and a comparative evaluation of RJ's effectiveness against formal prosecution. An empirical juridical approach with a qualitatively dominant mixed-method design was employed. Data were gathered from 45 purposively selected case files (out of 180 cases handled in 2022-2024), eight key informant interviews, field observations, and focus group discussions. Findings reveal that 71.1% of tipiring cases were resolved via RJ in an average of 14.3 days, compared to 127.8 days through formal channels. Victim satisfaction averaged 4.2 out of 5 under the RJ track versus 3.1 for formal procedures, and one-year recidivism rates were markedly lower (8.3% vs. 22.7%). Core challenges include the absence of standardized internal SOPs, insufficient formal RJ training among active investigators, residual retributive orientations among some victims, and inadequate post-agreement monitoring. The study concludes that RJ implementation at Polres Grobogan is comparatively effective, though it requires systematic strengthening through internal regulatory development, investigator capacity-building, and more robust oversight mechanisms.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has created new avenues for fraudulent conduct that far exceeds the reach of conventional criminal law. Digital-based fraud encompassing phishing, social engineering, online shopping scams, and fraudulent investment schemes disguised as digital platforms shows a consistently rising trend and inflicts enormous financial losses on Indonesian society. This study examines how Indonesian criminal law constructs liability for digital fraud, particularly through the Criminal Code (KUHP), Law Number 11 of 2008 as amended by Law Number 19 of 2016 on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE), and Law Number 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection. A normative juridical method is employed, using statutory and conceptual approaches. The analysis reveals that conventional fraud provisions in the Criminal Code are insufficient to capture the unique characteristics of digital fraud, while UU ITE offers more relevant penal provisions yet leaves interpretive uncertainties regarding key elements of the offense. Key challenges identified include difficulties in proving elements of deception and criminal intent in digital contexts, perpetrator anonymity, and insufficient inter-agency coordination in handling cross-border cases. The study recommends strengthened digital investigative capacity, uniform juridical interpretation of digital fraud offense elements, and enhanced technical implementation regulations.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the recruitment strategy of the Prima Management Development Program at PT Prima Sarana Gemilang using the Context, Input, Process, Product evaluation model. The program was developed as a company strategy to recruit and prepare potential employees, especially fresh graduates, to support operational needs in the mining industry. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Research informants consisted of the Human Resources General Manager, Talent Acquisition Supervisor, and participants of the Prima Management Development Program selected using purposive sampling techniques. The results showed that the program was aligned with the company’s needs in building a talent pipeline and supporting workforce regeneration. The company has also implemented a relatively structured recruitment system through standard operating procedures, digital recruitment media, and competency-based selection stages. However, several obstacles were still identified, including limited recruiters, inconsistent candidate assessment standards, changes in selection schedules, and insufficient communication with candidates during the recruitment process. In addition, several fresh graduate participants still required strengthening of technical competencies and adaptation to the mining industry work culture. Overall, the recruitment strategy of the Prima Management Development Program was considered sufficiently effective in supporting company talent development, although improvements are still needed in the implementation and development aspects of the program

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of dance studio management in Public Senior High Schools (SMAN) and Islamic Senior High Schools (MAN) in Pekanbaru City. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and the CIPPO evaluation model, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in five schools: SMAN 10, SMAN 6, SMAN 4, MAN 2, and MAN 3 Pekanbaru. Informants included principals, advisors, instructors, and student members. Data were analyzed through reduction, display, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. The findings show that dance studio management is generally moderately effective. Stronger effectiveness appears in schools with clear goals, stable trainers, written planning, regular practice, adequate facilities, and systematic evaluation. Weaknesses are found in event-based programs with limited funding, inadequate facilities, unstable schedules, and poor documentation. The study concludes that managerial commitment, policy support, resource stability, and schedule coordination are key to strengthening dance studios as spaces for talent development, cultural preservation, achievement, and character building.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in promoting economic growth, employment generation, and regional development, particularly in border areas that serve as strategic gateways for cross-border economic activities. However, MSMEs in border regions often face challenges related to limited infrastructure, restricted market access, low technological adoption, and increasing competition within integrated regional markets. This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs in driving economic growth in border areas within the context of the digital era and regional market integration. The research employs a literature review approach by examining relevant scholarly articles, books, institutional reports, and conference proceedings published between 2015 and 2025. The findings indicate that digital transformation is a critical factor in enhancing MSME competitiveness through improved market access, operational efficiency, innovation, and customer engagement. Furthermore, regional market integration provides opportunities for MSMEs to participate in broader markets and regional value chains, thereby increasing their growth potential. However, realizing these benefits requires supportive policies, digital infrastructure development, financial inclusion, entrepreneurial capacity building, and collaborative governance involving multiple stakeholders. The study concludes that strengthening MSME competitiveness through digitalization and regional integration is essential for fostering sustainable economic growth, improving regional connectivity, and enhancing the economic resilience of border communities

Abstract

Green banking disclosure has become an important component of sustainable banking practices and is expected to provide positive signals to stakeholders regarding a bank’s environmental commitment and long-term performance. This study aims to examine the role of bank soundness in mediating the relationship between green banking disclosure (GBD) and firm value (FV). A quantitative approach was employed using data from all banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019–2024. Data were collected from Bloomberg and the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. Using purposive sampling, 144 firm-year observations from 24 banks were selected and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with WarpPLS 8.0. The findings indicate that GBD has no direct effect on FV but has a positive effect on bank soundness. In addition, bank soundness positively affects FV and successfully mediates the relationship between GBD and FV. These results suggest that the contribution of GBD to firm value is realized indirectly through improvements in bank soundness. This study provides the first empirical evidence on the mediating role of bank soundness in the GBD–FV relationship and contributes to signaling theory by demonstrating the importance of sustainability-related information in stakeholders’ fund placement decisions. Furthermore, bank core capital is incorporated as a control variable to capture banks’ readiness to implement sustainability-related policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of budgetary participation and work motivation on employee performance at the West Java Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit. The approach used was quantitative with an explanatory survey method to test the causal relationship between variables. Data were obtained through an ordinal scale questionnaire distributed to 33 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique from a population of 80 employees. The research variables consisted of budgetary participation, work motivation, and employee performance, each measured through indicators that have been systematically operationalized. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to test the measurement model and structural model simultaneously. The results showed that budgetary participation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Both variables were categorized as good based on descriptive analysis, although there were still several aspects that needed to be improved, especially in terms of involvement and achievement motivation. These findings indicate that increasing participation and work motivation can encourage more optimal employee performance. This research is expected to contribute to the development of human resource management and management accounting science and become a reference for improving employee performance in public organizations.

Abstract

Tofu wastewater contains high concentrations of organic matter, suspended solids, and dissolved solids that may deteriorate water quality if discharged directly into the environment. Phytoremediation is an environmentally friendly wastewater treatment method that utilizes aquatic plants to improve water quality. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) and water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes) as phytoremediation agents for tofu wastewater treatment. The experiment was conducted using four treatments, namely control (P0), water hyacinth (P1), water hyacinth + water lettuce (P2), and water lettuce (P3). Observations were carried out on days 0, 7, 14, and 21. Water quality parameters analyzed included pH, temperature, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and Total Suspended Solids (TSS). The results showed that phytoremediation for 21 days altered the quality of tofu wastewater. The pH values generally increased from acidic conditions toward more neutral conditions, while temperature remained relatively stable throughout the observation period. Water lettuce was more effective in stabilizing pH and reducing TSS, whereas water hyacinth showed better performance in maintaining DO concentrations and controlling TDS accumulation. These findings indicate that both plant species have potential as phytoremediation agents for tofu wastewater treatment, with their effectiveness depending on the targeted water quality parameters.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure on firm value and analyze the role of profitability as a moderating variable in IDX ESG Leaders companies during the 2021–2025 period. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and corporate financial statements. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 15 companies with a total of 75 observations. Firm value is proxied by Tobin's Q, ESG disclosure is measured using an ESG disclosure index, while profitability is proxied by Return on Equity (ROE). The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that ESG disclosure has no significant effect on firm value, and profitability is unable to moderate this relationship. These findings indicate that, among IDX ESG Leaders companies, ESG disclosure tends to serve as a sustainability and legitimacy standard, but has not yet become a primary factor that directly increases firm value.
